York, PA - Two people who were upset that their vehicle had been towed are accused of assaulting Intown Motors' owner with a candy dispensing machine and battery jumper pack.

York City Police said Tobin Johnston reported he was assaulted Wednesday by Anthony Blakely and Carmen Vega at the business at 1001 E. Philadelphia St. in York.

Johnston was identified in newspaper archives as the owner of Intown Motors.

Police Sgt. John Veater said Blakely and Vega went to Intown to complain after their vehicle had been towed. Once there, Blakely refused to pay the fee to allow Intown to release the car to him, Veater said.

Blakely was told to leave, but as Johnston was escorting him out, Blakely punched him in the face, Veater said. Blakely then grabbed a candy dispenser and struck Johnston in the face, cutting him, Veater said. Vega joined the fray, hitting Johnston with a battery jumper pack, according to police.

"A couple employees were able to break it up and locked the doors until police arrived," Veater said.

Blakely, of the 200 block of North Queen Street in York, was charged with simple assault, defiant trespassing and criminal mischief. Vega, of the same address, was charged with simple assault and defiant trespassing.

Blakely and Vega were taken to Central Booking at the York County Judicial Center, where they were fingerprinted and then released. They will be sent summons of their charges by mail, according to the

York County Sheriff's Office.

An employee who answered the phone at Intown Motors on Thursday said Johnston declined to comment.
