A coffin has popped up, but it wasn't washed away from a local cemetery, and luckily it was empty.
It was one of two Halloween props a resident had resting on his deck.
On January 13, the Brisbane resident contacted the Brisbane City Council after floodwaters carried away two burgundy coffins.
He feared the coffins, used for a Halloween party, had ended up in the river system and alerted the council in case onlookers spying the props were alarmed to see two coffins, one complete with a mannequin, floating down the river.
The council yesterday posted an update on its Facebook page, complete with a picture, stating that the missing coffin had washed up intact in the Jamboree Ward.
There was no news on the fate of the mannequin.
