No Excuses

During Wednesday’s debate, Rick Santorum tried to explain away his vote for No Child Left Behind.

As he put it, he helped double the size of the Department of Education and vastly expand the federal government’s interference in our children’s lives because he was a “team player,” even though it supposedly went against what he claims he believed in.

The simple truth is, there are NO excuses for throwing your principles out the window and doing the wrong thing.

And I know the kind of "team pressure" Rick Santorum is talking about. This year, the House GOP passed a budget, full of gimmicks and out of balance as far as the eye could see. The vast majority of my colleagues held their nose and voted for it.

I voted a resounding "No."  My dad did, too.  If you aren't going to stand for principle, why did you run in the first place?

I’m proud of the consistent conservatism my dad will take to the White House as President.

No one else can lay claim to such a tremendous track record in defense of the Constitution.

But to win the nomination, he needs your help now more than ever.

Ten states are on the line on Super Tuesday – barely over a week away now.

Voters are searching for the right candidate to restore this nation’s prosperity and lead it boldly into the future, and the establishment is doing everything it can to make sure they think status-quo politicians like Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich are their only options.

My dad’s campaign is getting the truth out and changing minds, but they must have your immediate support if they are to implement their entire Get-Out-The-Vote strategy in several key states by March 6.

Please, click here right away to give whatever you are able toward my dad’s Final Push for Super Tuesday!

I wonder which 'team' Rick Santorum thinks he was playing for when he:

*** Voted to raise the debt ceiling five times;

*** Joined with senators like Barbara Boxer and Frank Lautenberg to pass massive new federal gun control schemes and regulations;

*** Helped keep forced dues flowing to Big Labor by voting to kill the National Right to Work bill;

*** Pitched in on creating a brand new, unfunded entitlement, Medicare Part D, the largest expansion of entitlement spending since President Lyndon Johnson - creating $16 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities;

*** Sent the American people’s hard-earned money straight to Planned Parenthood.

Our country is in a desperate situation exactly because of Big Government, big spending politicians like Rick Santorum.

The LAST thing we need is another politician in the White House who admittedly puts political party above principle and political expediency ahead of their oath of office.

Our national debt is sky-rocketing.  Spending is out of control.  Families are crushed and dreams are fading under the weight of our struggling economy.

Ron Paul knows there is a better way.

Under his leadership, America’s faith in individual liberty, sound money, and constitutional government can be restored.

He can’t be accused of flip-flopping throughout his career, or playing games like Rick Santorum, because he hasn’t done it.

He’s fought back against the “go along to get along,” statist mentality that has brought our nation to its knees.

He’s never been afraid to stand up for the voters – even if it meant standing alone.

With your help, he’ll keep fighting that battle in the White House.

Your generous donation today toward my dad’s Final Push for Super Tuesday will help ensure he has every possible resource to win votes and secure critical delegate spots on March 6.

Ten states are on the line.

I hope my dad can count on you when he needs your support the most.

Please, donate whatever you are able today to my dad’s Final Push for Super Tuesday!

Help him demonstrate that America is ready for a President who will stand up for principle instead of caving in to political pressure.

For Liberty,

Rand Paul

P.S.  Sorry, Senator Santorum, but there are no excuses for throwing your principles out the window and doing the wrong thing.

Unlike Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich, my dad can point to a lifetime of standing up for freedom and the Constitution, even when it meant standing alone.

But only your support today can help ensure my dad has every resource possible to reach the voters with the truth about his record and his serious solutions to our nation’s challenges.

Please, stand with Ron Paul at this most critical point in the campaign.
