Public Advocate on the warpath

Public Advocate arrived early at CPAC this year.

CPAC -- the Conservative Political Action Conference -- is the largest annual gathering of conservatives in America and Public Advocate has earned a proud position there.

And this year my staff, volunteers and I came prepared for battle.

Public Advocate took a public stand against Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell’s betrayal of our conservative values despite his so-called conservative status.

I first met McDonnell in 1988 when he was a member of the VA House of Delegates.  And back then I would never have imagined that he could ever betray the Family and his Virginia supporters so horribly.

As governor, McDonnell applauded the appointment of a radical homosexual activist as a state judge -- despite McDonnell's pledge to defend real marriage!

I was shocked to hear that Governor McDonnell was still attending CPAC.  While he was not allowed to speak formally, he still planned to show up and work the entire crowd for hours.

Even more shocking, McDonnell then pushed through the largest tax increase in Virginia history.

This tax hike will cost the tax-payers at least $6 billion and will place a terrible burden on Virginia families.

Public Advocate’s goal at CPAC was to shine a light on McDonnell’s actions.

Governor McDonnell has completely betrayed his conservative values across the board.

And sadly this man is actually being considered as a conservative presidential nominee for the future.

But with the hard work of a dozen volunteers, Public Advocate made sure all 10,000 CPAC attendees heard the real story of Bob's betrayal of Virginia families.

Here is a copy of the prop-check Public Advocate volunteers handed out:

Tax Hike Bob's $6 Billion Check

Before our stand, most of the CPAC leaders were ignorant of McDonnell’s betrayals due to the lack of liberal media coverage.

We were so effective through our activism, McDonnell did not even venture out into the room while I was there.

It’s still hard to believe a so-called "conservative" leader has turned his back on the Family by encouraging radical homosexual activism in the courts and placing a huge tax burden on Virginia families.

But now it’s up to you and me to try to set him back on the right course.

While it's too late for McDonnell to recant his support for the Homosexual Agenda, he could sign this tax increase into law any day.

So please call the Governor and ask him to veto this $6 billion tax increase, for the sake of Virginia families.

His office number is 804-786-2211.

Together we can show him that family values still matter.

For the Family,

Eugene Delgaudio
President, Public Advocate of the United States
