2013 Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, scheduled for Feb. 2-10 in Harrisburg, is being postponed - As of Wednesday, more than 200 vendors had pulled out of the show
Individual communities may apply for
the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) recreation
and conservation grants. Funds for the program come from the
Environmental Stewardship Fund, the Keystone Park, Recreation and
Conservation Fund, the Snowmobile/ATV Fund and other federal funds.
Eligible applicants are:
• Municipalities
• Municipal agencies
• Pre-qualified Land Trusts
• Appropriate/Authorized Organizations
• 501(c) (3) Non-Profits

York County Farmers….interested
in preserving their farms and/or natural land are invited to a
Wednesday, Feb. 20, meeting to learn about the benefits of conservation
easements. The event will take place from 1 - 3 p.m., in Room 1 of the
York County Annex Building, 118 Pleasant Acres Road, Springettsbury
Township.
The meeting will provide information
regarding easement purchases and easement donations through the York
County Agricultural Land Preservation Board. Staff will discuss the
application process, requirements, selection process and easement
restrictions.

Attention Sportsmen - The 2013 Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, scheduled for Feb. 2-10 in Harrisburg, is being postponed.
Reed Exhibitions, which organizes
the show, says it made the decision after controversy surrounding its
decision to limit the sale or display of military style assault weapons
and high capacity magazines and clips. As of Wednesday, more than 200
vendors had pulled out of the show.
