Today, House Speaker John Boehner wants to prove he is DEAD SERIOUS.
But not about cutting spending, reining in federal government excess, or protecting our constitutional liberties.
Instead, Boehner wants to prove - with his Continuing Resolution (CR) funding government through September - that he can pull the wool over our eyes and continue politics as usual in Washington, D.C.
That's why it's absolutely critical you act at once and tell your U.S. Representative and Speaker Boehner the American people have HAD IT with their shenanigans.
I've included their phone numbers for your convenience below . . .
But first let me explain why this is so important.
The truth is, there are so many problems with Speaker Boehner's Continuing Resolution, it's hard to know where to start!
But here's just a taste of what Speaker Boehner wants to ram down our throats to prove his fiscally "conservative" credentials:
*** The Continuing Resolution does not cut a DIME of federal spending.
There's no question Speaker Boehner's CR will almost assuredly be loaded down with new spending in the Senate, but Speaker Boehner isn't even starting off his negotiations with President Obama or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid with a request for a single budget cut!
*** The Continuing Resolution funds ObamaCare.
Ever since ObamaCare was rammed into law, its $2.6 TRILLION price tag and overbearing regulations have been threatening to destroy the economy. With his majority in the U.S. House, Speaker Boehner could simply REFUSE to fund ObamaCare's implementation. Instead, Speaker Boehner would rather run from that fight.
*** The Continuing Resolution funds Dodd-Frank.
Just weeks ago, U.S. News and World Report ran a story entitled "10 ways Dodd-Frank will hurt the economy in 2013," where they predicted the bill would sow the seeds of the next financial crisis. House Speaker John Boehner and the House Republicans should be DEFUNDING this monstrosity.
And House Speaker John Boehner and his establishment pals want you and me to take them seriously?
This is OUTRAGEOUS!
Please call your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121 and demand he or she vote NO on the Continuing Resolution (CR) designed to fund the government through September.
While you're at it, call Speaker Boehner's office at (202) 225-0600 and give him a piece of your mind, as well.
Our nation is $16.6 TRILLION in debt.
Unemployment has been INCREASING, even after all of the "solutions" statists in BOTH parties have rammed into law these past few years.
And instead of listening to those principled Republicans in the House who were elected with the help of liberty-minded Americans to implement real change in Congress, Speaker Boehner has been more than content to play right along.
In fact, already three times this year, Speaker Boehner has RAMMED through legislation that would never have been possible without the help of liberal Democrat votes.
Now, Majority Leader Eric Cantor is warning of a Republican "civil war" if fiscal conservatives don't start betraying their constituents and joining with Speaker Boehner to expand government!
Eric Cantor may be right. There just may be a GOP civil war in the works.
But it'll be with thousands of Tea Party types and C4L supporters all over the country who are tired of being flat-out BETRAYED by politicians in Washington, D.C., as I plan on telling you about in the coming days . . .
But first things first.
Please call your U.S. Representative and urge him or her to vote "NO" on Speaker Boehner's Continuing Resolution. And don't forget to give Speaker Boehner a piece of your mind.
So if you possibly can, please chip in just a few bucks to help Campaign for Liberty keep up the fight.
C4L depends on your generosity for everything we do.
Even if it's just $10 or $20 - or even $5 - every dollar you give will be very much appreciated.
In Liberty,
John Tate
President
