Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says he supports the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), but . ..
When asked whether DOMA should apply to our U.S. Military McConnell said, “I haven’t given any thought to the question and, therefore, I think I’ll probably not respond.”
Really?
The question asked concerns the Defense reauthorization bill(H.R. 1540) which recently passed the House and includes provisions that would protect military chaplains from being forced to officiate homosexual marriages.
It would also ban homosexual marriages from even taking place on military bases or property.
But instead of whole-hearted support for these provisions, Republican Senate Minority Leader McConnell is tongue-tied!
Yet earlier this week, four openly homosexual members of Congress had no problem speaking-up on behalf of the radical Homosexual Agenda.
Barney Frank (D-MA), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Jared Polis (D-CO) and David Cicilline (D-RI) sent a letter to President Obama telling him to veto the Defense bill if it still includes these pro-family passages.
Our side cannot afford to be tongue-tied in this fight while our opponents shift into full-throttle.
You and I cannot win an uphill battle by sitting silently on the sidelines.
That’s why Public Advocate is asking you to call Senate Minority Leader McConnell right away at (202) 224-2541 and tell him to act like a leader by speaking out in support of the pro-family provisions in the Defense reauthorization bill.
In the coming weeks, the House version of the Defense reauthorization must be reconciled with a Senate version and then voted on.
Win or lose, at least we will know which Congressmen and Senators actually had the integrity to speak out and fight to protect our military personnel and property from being used to advance the radical Homosexual Agenda.
Again, please call (202) 224-2541 or contact him on his website by clicking here.
Your voice counts!
For the Family,
Eugene Delgaudio
President, Public Advocate of the United States
