Jesuit U Hosting Slew of Scandalous Speakers for ‘Women’s Rights’ Forum
An article in California Catholic Daily is reporting that when The University of San Francisco hosts its 10th Annual Global Women’s Rights Forum next week, speakers will be included “who have served at the highest levels for groups that lobby for and provide funding to pro-abortion activists.”
Cal Catholic says that speakers at this Jesuit, Catholic USF event will include:
Jessica Robinson Love, the lesbian same-sex “married” director of Counterpulse, a “provocative” San Francisco theater space…
And. . .
Amina Mama. She is currently the director of Women’s and Gender Studies at UC Davis. From 2005-2010, Mama chaired the Board of Directors for the Global Fund for Women . . . The annual report specifies the 195 organizations in 77 countries that received grants from the GFW in 2006-2007. To list the organizations that are objectionable from a Catholic standpoint would be beyond the scope of this article. In Latin America alone, and covering nations from A to N, groups funded by the GFW include Argentina’s Coordinating Commission of the National Campaign for the Right to Abortion, which received $60,000 over three years…
And. . .
Sunera Thobani. She is currently a professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of British Columbia. From 1993-1996, Thobani also served as chairman and president of Canada’s National Action Committee on the Status of Women . . . In 2004, LifeSiteNews reported: “Since its founding in 1972, the NAC has been a lobbying juggernaut for the full range of pro-abortion, feminist and anti-family measures at the federal level and internationally.
Cal Catholic can give you the full scope of problems it is reporting for this USF event.
