Ron Paul: An Easy Endorsement,Thomas Massie
It isn't often that an endorsement is this easy for me.
The candidate I am writing to tell you about deserves your support right now. He is in a Republican primary to be the next Congressman from the 4th district of Kentucky. And he can win.
He has the right message, the right principles, and is running in a district that my son Rand carried in both his primary and his general election by wide margins.
His name is Thomas Massie, and I am proud to endorse him today and to tell you more about him in the hope that you will join me in supporting his candidacy.
Thomas Massie has been a part of our Revolution for years. His political beliefs and personal principles led him to a strong adherence to liberty, and he has worked to show his family, neighbors, and friends the path to freedom.
Thomas grew up in Kentucky, in the area where he now resides with his wife and four children. He left briefly to attend MIT and to start a career as an inventor and entrepreneur. Thomas knows what it is like to try to get an idea through the business and governmental mazes set up for job creators. He has been successful for himself, his family, his investors, and his workers.
Thomas eventually decided to move back to Lewis County, Kentucky, where he grew up - wanting his kids to grow up there, too.
It was from there that he was such a strong supporter of my 2008 campaign, as well as the beginning of Campaign for Liberty.
And he was invaluable to my son Rand when he ran for office, taking an early interest in Rand's race, helping him meet folks in his area, raising money, campaigning - you name it, Thomas did it for Rand's race in 2010.
Thomas also saw that there was a problem in his local government. Spending and regulations continued to grow, teaming up to put a stranglehold on his local economy. So Thomas decided to do something about it.
He ran against an incumbent Republican in a primary for Judge Executive of his county (the head of the county government in Kentucky) and surprised everyone by beating him 2-1. He ended up winning the general election and marched into office determined to save his county's finances. In just a few short months, Thomas had found enough in savings in his small county to pay his own county salary for three years!
Principles put into quick action!
Thomas has also made all the right kind of enemies, both as an activist and a county executive. The establishment can't stand him. The tax-and-spenders fear him. The people Rand refers to as "the beseechers" don't even bother with him.
Sometimes your enemies tell you just as much about you as your friends.
Thomas is the real deal. He will only vote for constitutional laws, and he will fight to restore our lost rights if he is elected to Congress. I've seen his agenda, and it is one every single one of us can get behind!
** Supporting a Balanced Budget Amendment and only voting for budgets that are in balance. House Republicans this past year did not produce a balanced budget. Republicans should always fight for this goal. Thomas will join Rand in both voting against unbalanced budget plans and in supporting Rand's 5-year balanced budget plan.
** Fighting the out-of-control EPA. The Obama EPA has declared war on Kentucky coal. Thomas will join Rand as a strong advocate for repealing Obama's rules and stripping bureaucratic power by passing legislation like the REINS Act, which was sponsored by Rand and the retiring Congressman Davis.
** Protecting our rights by standing up for gun owners and the 4th amendment. Our government's war on our privacy must stop.
** Fighting for a fairer, flatter tax that lowers tax rates and eliminates tax loopholes for special interests.
** Fighting the special interests in Washington by standing up against wasteful spending.
Thomas has already stood up publicly for these things. He has simultaneously cut taxes, spending, AND debt in his county!Believe me, that is a record that is sorely needed in Congress.
Some might still try to tell you that Thomas doesn't have the political experience necessary. His main opponents are multi-term state legislators and county executives.
Well, having spent a good bit of time in Washington myself, I can tell you firsthand - the LAST thing it needs is more professional politicians.
It needs more people with real principles, who will stand up and fight.
Thomas is absolutely one of those people. I am sure of it.
There has been some talk about who could take my place in Congress now that I'm retiring. I often dismiss talk like that, but I want to tell you, my strongest supporters, that Thomas Massie has the principles and guts to stand up to Big Government as I have.
He has the principles of Liberty to fight for ALL of our Bill of Rights, and he believes in smaller government both here and overseas.
There aren't many candidates out there of the caliber of Thomas Massie, so I hope you'll take the time today to get involved with his campaign.

Evangelicals turn to Ron Paul
In the wake of Senator Rick Santorum’s departure from the presidential race there are signs that some evangelical leaders are refusing to jump on board the Mitt Romney bandwagon and are turning to Congressman Ron Paul instead. The Texas congressman spoke to several thousand people last night at the Will Rogers Auditorium in downtown Fort Worth but met quietly afterward with evangelical leaders.
Why Ron Paul? And why now, when the race is being declared “done” by the main stream media?
“Because you don’t give away your support without getting something in return,” says a former congressman who has been at the heart of the Christian right movement since its beginning. The longer that Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich stay in the race, the more likely that Romney will be forced to take a evangelical conservative as his vice presidential nominee.
Why not turn to Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Catholic who is a former Southern Baptist, with views that resonate with evangelicals?
“If we had to do it over again, we should have gone with Gingrich,” one of Santorum’s supporters told me today. But if we switch to Gingrich now we risk another drop out.” The former Speaker reportedly has debts of $ 4.2 million and has asked the Romney campaign for help in retiring them. Romney reportedly declined.
Meanwhile, the Ron Paul campaign, with cash on hand, has begun airing television ads in Texas and launches another moneybomb this weekend.
“I have one question for you,” one of the ministers reportedly said in the private meeting last night with Dr. Ron Paul, “Are you going to drop out? Or will you stay in all the way to Tampa?”
“I’m in,” the Texan replied.
“That’s all I need to know,” the minister said.
The evangelical community began reaching out to Dr. Paul almost immediately after Senator Rick Santorum dropped out of the presidential race. Yesterday, Pastor Steven Andrew of USA Christian Ministries announced his support of the congressman, calling for a day of prayer and fasting. Andrew released a statement saying that, “After Santorum, Ron Paul is the most God-fearing Presidential candidate [and] the Republican party should endorse him.” Andrew said that “If Republicans don’t give a Christian candidate, Christians should look elsewhere – even to a third party.”
The Christian Wire service ran an article yesterday saying that Christians like the fact that Ron Paul “opposes tyranny, would cut the deficit and is prolife.”
A prominent television evangelist , speaking on the promise of anonymity, says that there was great disappointment in Rick Santorum’s withdrawal from the race. “No one faults a man for being a good father, and dropping out to take care of a child, but it hurts many of us very deeply. We were counting on him to lead our cause.”
Foster Freiss, the Wyoming billionaire who financed the Santorum Super Pac, has publicly said he will now help Mitt Romney.
Meanwhile, evangelical leaders are skeptical of any of their brethren who are now pledging to Romney. “They are trotting out the same old bought and paid for names, Richard Land and Jay Sekulow, and acting like they are new.” A Gingrich supporter who is quite vocal about his disappointment with the Santorum campaign suspects that evangelical leaders who supported Santorum, did so in return for donations to their nonprofit organizations. “They will now try to repeat the same thing with Romney and are already in the news laying the foundation for their appeal. It is appalling.”
But the rank and file evangelicals are not for sale and many seeking an end to the corruption in Washington see Ron Paul, a born again Christian, as their best voice of protest and the best way to force
Romney to deal with them.
Steve Scheffler, president of the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition and a GOP national committeeman, is dumbfounded that the Romney’s campaign had so far made no effort to reach out to evangelicals.
“The presidential race is likely to be truly competitive,” Mr. Scheffler said, “in about a dozen states, including Iowa, and the Republicans will need to motivate people to volunteer at calling centers and put up signs. I don’t think there’s much room for error.”
Meanwhile, the Ron Paul people continue to fill the vacuum. In Iowa they are helping Scheffler and other Santorum people get re-elected to their positions. They can afford to be generous, they have everything else.
Says Brian Jacobs, a former consultant to Billy Graham and to evangelical leaders such as Kenneth Copeland, “Ron Paul is a born again Christian who is untainted by this corruption that has engulfed Washington. It should be no big surprise that evangelicals are discovering him.”

Tennessee’s Classroom Protection Act
It is not too late to help!
Tennessee’s Classroom Protection Act (SB 49/H.R. 229) has not come up for a vote yet in the Education Committee -- but it's still on the schedule.
My liaison to the House of Representatives thinks the vote will happen on Tuesday.
Which means we only have five days to make sure that the Committee votes the right way.
I have been in constant contact with our allies in Nashville and they are telling me that the phone calls and emails are helping -- but they need more of them.
If this bill fails to pass the Tennessee House it will open the door for Mandatory Homosexual Education.
We have to see this bill through the legislative weeds.

The April 24 Pennsylvania and Delaware Republican Primaries are fast approaching.
That’s why I’m writing to ask you to save the date for a rally I’m hosting in Philadelphia on Sunday, April 22.
Since the Pennsylvania and Delaware Primaries take place just two days after the rally, I’m counting on you to bring as many friends, family members, and neighbors with you as possible.

Christian Leader to Santorum Supporters: Vote for Ron Paul

He believes God wants a government and nation after God's own heart.
"After Santorum, then Ron Paul is the most God-fearing Presidential candidate that the Republican party should endorse (Exodus 18:21)," he says. "If Republicans don't give a Christian candidate, Christians should look elsewhere - even to a third party."
"Obama and Romney are the wrong direction for the USA. They serve another Jesus. Romney and Obama aren't Christians even though they want us to believe they are," he explains.
He hopes people understand Romney's heresies. Romney thinks Jesus is a created being, the spirit brother of Lucifer. Christians believe that Jesus is the Second Person of the Godhead, God eternal. Romney also thinks that he will become a God. This is considered evil by Christians. He wants pastors to stand up for God and His Word.
"Obama covered the name and cross of Jesus at Georgetown. Obama believes in leaving living babies to die who survive botched abortions. Obama wants to change George Washington's Christian laws prohibiting homosexual sin. Obama opposes religious liberty. God says turn away from Obama," he explains.
"The USA is heading the wrong direction by voting for non-Christians. Scripture teaches this causes economic decline and threatens religious liberty," he says.
The First Commandment says to love God and in the Ten Commandments it says to have no other God before the LORD. Therefore, he says God calls Christians to vote for Christians.
"If a Christian leader says to support Romney or Obama, don't listen to them. They are going against Scripture," he continues.
"God says Romney and Obama are 'accursed.' Those who vote for them would also be accursed (2Chronicles 19:2)," he adds. Galatians 1:9 says, "if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed."
Christians like that Ron Paul opposes tyranny, would cut the deficit and is prolife.
Time To Step Up For Ron Paul

(Don’t believe the media’s delegate count. Paul’s people are working behind the scenes to capture uncommitted delegates and take over local Republican Party offices, much to the dismay of the Republican establishment.)
Unlike Romney, Paul holds truly conservative ideals. He has pledged to balance the budget in three years. He will cut $1 trillion from the budget in the first year and eliminate five cabinet departments (Energy, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Interior and Education). He will abolish the Transportation Security Administration, end corporate subsidies (corporate welfare), stop foreign aid and return most spending to 2006 levels.
According to a recent New York Times/CBS News Poll, 69 percent of Americans believe the United States should end its involvement in the Afghanistan war. Paul has said he’ll bring the troops home immediately.
Paul is more pro-gun, pro-Constitution and pro-liberty than Romney. Most importantly, while Romney wears Massachusetts’ Romneycare around his neck like a millstone, Paul has none of that baggage. And Paul is a more attractive candidate to independents and moderates than Romney.
There are still 19 States that have not held their primaries: Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Indiana, North Carolina, West Virginia, Nebraska, Oregon, Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas, California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Dakota and Utah. There are still 1,152 delegates left to be awarded in those States. And while Paul will not win enough delegates before the convention to lock up the nomination, it’s important that Romney doesn’t either.
Then real conservatives can nominate a real conservative candidate that can beat Barack Obama in November.

Ron Paul: Help Me Get to Tampa
If the establishment had its way, there would only be one Republican left in this race – and the National Convention would just be a massive rally for Mitt Romney.
There would be no talk about individual liberty. No mention of trillion-dollar deficits, real spending cuts, and the out-of-control Federal Reserve.
And there would be no questioning the cost of utopian nation-building schemes or policing the world.
But thanks to your hard work and dedication to the cause of liberty, the establishment isn’t getting its way.

The Deparmtent of Justice on Monday attempted to play down video proof of how easy it is to vote fraudulently when a man working for James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas obtained Attorney General Eric Holder’s vote.
“About the only time we get concrete evidence of voter fraud is when someone pulls a stunt like this,” a DoJ spokesman told NBC’s First Read blog.
Holder and the department have consistently said there is no proof of widespread voter fraud, but the video, posted online by Breitbart is further embarrassment after Project Veritas successfully got dead people’s votes in New Hampshire and Minnesota.
The scruffily dressed young man, who is white, went to Holder’s polling station on Nebraska Avenue in Washington, D.C., for last week’s primaries and asked if they had Holder registered there. Holder is 61 and black.
He was careful not to claim he was Holder but the poll worker still tried to hand the assistant his ballot once he had confirmed the A.G.’s name was on the roll.
When the young man said he had left his ID in the car, the poll worker told him it wasn’t needed, but O’Keefe’s assistant, who was fitted with a hidden camera, said he would feel more comfortable showing it.
As he left, the man said, “I’ll be back faster than you can say ‘furious,’” a reference to the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal that has ensnared Holder.
“We’re not going anywhere,” the poll worker replied.
Holder’s Justice Department has battled hard against states that have tried to introduce voter ID laws, saying they unfairly disenfranchise immigrants and the poor who may not have driver’s licenses. The attorney general insists there is no widespread problem with voter fraud.
Project Veritas has had success with undercover video stings against the liberal advocacy organization ACORN, Planned Parenthood and National Public Radio. However he has been accused in the past of editing out parts that did not fit his side of the story.
His efforts in New Hampshire and Minnesota have prompted politicians in both states to propose stricter identification legislation.

Will U.S. Troops Fire On American Citizens?

“This neighborhood has been declared a pandemic zone… Pandemic level 6 martial law is now in place… Please stay in your homes as a quarantine has been imposed… If you are found in violation of this order you can be fined, imprisoned, or even shot… Food will eventually be dropped at your doorstep” (message repeating)Essentially at one point people will get hungry and from there chaos will ensue.
Shepard Ambellas host of The Intel Hub Radio Show once asked a military caller on air what they would do in a pandemic situation (like the one laid out above).
The caller replied;
“That would be a tough one.”

Spanish Company SKYTL Will “Count” American Votes Overseas In November

When the Spanish online voting company SKYTL bought the largest vote processing corporation in the United States, it also acquired the means of manufacturing the outcome of the 2012 election. For SOE, the Tampa based corporation purchased by SKYTL in January, supplies the election software which records, counts, and reports the votes of Americans in 26 states–900 total jurisdictions–across the nation.
As the largest election results reporting company in the US, SOE provides reports right down to the precinct level. But before going anywhere else, those election returns are routed to individual, company servers where the people who run them “…get ‘first look’ at results and the ability to immediately and privately examine vote details throughout the USA.” In short, “this redirects results …to a centralized privately held server which is not just for Ohio, but national; not just USA-based, but global.”
And although the votes will be cast in hometown, American precincts on Election Day, with the Barcelona-based SKYTL taking charge of the process, they will be routed and counted overseas.
SKYTL itself is a leader in internet voting technology and in 2010 was involved in modernizing election systems for the midterm election in 14 American states.
But although SKYTL’s self-proclaimed reputation for security had won the company the Congressionally approved task of handling internet voting for American citizens and members of the military overseas, upon opening the system for use in the District of Columbia, the University of Michigan fight song “The Victors” was suddenly heard after the casting of each ballot. The system had been hacked by U of M computer teachers and students in response to a challenge by SKYTL that anyone who wished to do so, might try!
Nevertheless, in spite of warnings by experts across the nation, American soldiers overseas will once again vote via the internet in 2012. And because SKYTL will control the method of voting and—thanks to the purchase of SOE–the method of counting the votes as well, there “…will be no ballots, no physical evidence, no way for the public to authenticate who actually cast the votes…or the count.”
The American advocacy group Project Vote has concluded that SKYTL’s internet voting system is vulnerable to attack from the outside AND the inside, a situation which could result in “…an election that does not accurately reflect the will of the voters…” Talk about having a flair for understatement!
It has also been claimed that SKYTL CEO Pere Valles is a socialist who donated heavily to the 2008 Obama campaign and lived in Chicago during Obama’s time as Illinois State Senator. Unfortunately, given what is known about the character of Barack Obama, such rumors must be taken as serious threats to the integrity of the 2012 vote and the legitimate outcome of the election.
Though much has been written about the threat of nationwide voting by illegals in November, it is still true that most election fraud is an “inside” job. And there now exists a purely electronic voting service which uses no physical ballots to which an electronic count can be matched should questions arise. Add to this the fact that the same company will have “first count” on all votes made in 14 US states and hundreds of jurisdictions in 12 others, and the stage is set for election fraud on a scale unimaginable just a decade ago.
Perhaps Obama had reason for supreme confidence when he said “after my election” rather than “in case of” to Russian President Medvedev a week ago.
Racists Prepare for “Race War” Over Florida Shooting

Black and white racist groups including the “New Black Panther Party” (NBPP) and the “National Socialist Movement” (NSM) — both believed to be heavily infiltrated by federal agencies — claim to be preparing for an all-out “race war” as the fallout from the shooting of Trayvon Martin continues to spiral out of control. Meanwhile, President Obama, much of the establishment press, professional hate agitators, and even the United Nations have been pouring fuel on the fire.
Law enforcement officials have said that so far, there are no indications of violence or “armed patrols” in Sanford, and that protests have been peaceful. Sgt. David Morgenstern with the Sanford Police Department told the press on April 9 that there were no signs of either the neo-Nazi NSM or of the NBPP. However, both racist groups and their affiliates are under fire for openly proclaiming that a “race war” is coming and that they intend to participate in the slaughter.
In a recording of what was reported to be a NBPP conference call obtained by the conservative media service Breitbart.com, leaders of the NBPP black supremacist group describe their preparations for imminent “bloodshed.” One activist participating in the call advocates the complete destruction of capitalism and “class structure,” urging other members to begin stockpiling military weaponry and start training to use it.
“Black power! I just wanna say to all the listeners that’s on this phone call: If you are having any doubts about getting suited, booted, and armed up for this race war that we in, that has never ended, let me tell you something, the things that’s about to happen to these honkies, these crackers, these [police] pigs, these pink people, these ***** ****** purple people, it has been long overdue,” said a woman who identified herself as NBPP Tampa chapter “Chief of Staff” Michelle Williams.
Another call participant then speaks of blood and revolution. “We gotta suit up and boot up, and get prepared for the war that we’re in,” said the man, identified in a recording of the call as "Nation Spokesman of the New Black Panther Party" Chawn Kweli. “This stuff got to boil over, and all your greats talked about there having to be bloodshed involved with revolution — true revolution means some bloodshed.... We gotta go through it.”
And he sounds serious, too. “We’re talking about some blood. We’re going to have to cause some blood and go through some blood and battles,” Kweli emphasized. “I’m talking about that blond haired, blue eyed, sometime brown eyed, Caucasian walking around with a mindset — a demonistic mindset and a nature to do evil and brutality.”
Later, an unidentified female on the call praises black men who riot or kill whites. “I’m kinda pissed off right now that the state of Florida ain’t on fire,” she said. “I am for violence if non-violence means we continue to postpone a solution to the American black man’s problem just to avoid violence. You feel me?”
Petitioners, activists and shooter George Zimmerman’s family are all calling on race-obsessed Attorney General Eric Holder to arrest and prosecute the NBPP leadership involved in inciting violence. Among the grievances against the group was a “bounty” it offered for the “capture” of Zimmerman, who has said he shot 17-year-old Martin in self-defense. He has not yet been charged with a crime.
“I am writing you to ask you why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?” an unidentified member of Zimmerman’s family wrote in a letter to Holder. “I would surmise that, based on your own definition of a hate crime, you have chosen not to arrest these individuals based solely on your race.”
On the other side, white supremacists are claiming to be organizing “armed patrols” to “defend whites.” The neo-Nazi group NSM, long known to be filled with federal agents — or government agents provocateurs, as some analysts portray them — has made public statements suggesting that it, too, is making plans to parade around Florida in anticipation of a “race war.”
“The NSM does not disagree with the Panthers on the matter of Racial separation, however their ability to openly and very publicly break the law and avoid prosecution is something that is of grave concern to the White Community,” so-called NSM “Commander” Jeff Schoep wrote in a statement posted online, claiming his “patrols” would be operating within the law. “As citizens and neighbors dissolve along Racial lines, the possibility of further Racial violence in the Melting Pot is brimming over like a powder keg ready to explode into the streets.”
National Socialist Movement self-styled “Commander” Schoep told the Miami New Times that the group’s armed “patrols” consisted of 10 to 20 “volunteers” from around the state, though it remains unclear whether there really are any white supremacists on patrol. "We are not advocating any type of violence or attacks on anybody, but we are prepared for it," he was quoted as saying. "We are not the type of white people who are going to be walked all over."
While concern about the escalating potential for violence is growing, only minor incidents have been reported so far — mostly vandalism variously blasting and praising Zimmerman. Late last month in South Florida, however, a group of dozens of young protesters purporting to seek “Justice for Trayvon” ransacked a store. Residents were alarmed, but the furor soon died down.
Experts say that the Obama administration appears to be shielding the NBPP from prosecution — a controversial response that attracted severe criticism after members of the group were let off the hook despite intimidating voters at the polls in 2008. But, there are several state criminal statutes that the organization may have violated in recent weeks, too, opening up the possibility that they could be arrested in Florida.

“They've been talking like this for years,” Adams noted in response to the recently released conference call. “They tone down the rhetoric at strategic times, just enough to make people like Loretta King and Steve Rosenbaum at the Justice Department give them a pass.”
Zimmerman, meanwhile, has gone into hiding in fear of his life. “As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life,” he said in a statement posted on his website. “I assure you, the facts will come to light.”
According to analysts, powerful “Insiders” — people who wield massive influence in media and government with the aim of consolidating control — would use any “race war” violence to further advance an anti-constitutional agenda. Meanwhile, a contrived “war” would serve to distract Americans from the real problems facing the nation, and those responsible for them.
Multiple investigations into the tragic shooting of Trayvon Martin are ongoing as investigators try to determine the facts. In the meantime, sensible people of all races are demanding an immediate end to the foolishness and hatred — and the prosecution of anyone caught breaking the law.

Black and white racist groups including the “New Black Panther Party” (NBPP) and the “National Socialist Movement” (NSM) — both believed to be heavily infiltrated by federal agencies — claim to be preparing for an all-out “race war” as the fallout from the shooting of Trayvon Martin continues to spiral out of control. Meanwhile, President Obama, much of the establishment press, professional hate agitators, and even the United Nations have been pouring fuel on the fire.
Law enforcement officials have said that so far, there are no indications of violence or “armed patrols” in Sanford, and that protests have been peaceful. Sgt. David Morgenstern with the Sanford Police Department told the press on April 9 that there were no signs of either the neo-Nazi NSM or of the NBPP. However, both racist groups and their affiliates are under fire for openly proclaiming that a “race war” is coming and that they intend to participate in the slaughter.
In a recording of what was reported to be a NBPP conference call obtained by the conservative media service Breitbart.com, leaders of the NBPP black supremacist group describe their preparations for imminent “bloodshed.” One activist participating in the call advocates the complete destruction of capitalism and “class structure,” urging other members to begin stockpiling military weaponry and start training to use it.
“Black power! I just wanna say to all the listeners that’s on this phone call: If you are having any doubts about getting suited, booted, and armed up for this race war that we in, that has never ended, let me tell you something, the things that’s about to happen to these honkies, these crackers, these [police] pigs, these pink people, these ***** ****** purple people, it has been long overdue,” said a woman who identified herself as NBPP Tampa chapter “Chief of Staff” Michelle Williams.
Another call participant then speaks of blood and revolution. “We gotta suit up and boot up, and get prepared for the war that we’re in,” said the man, identified in a recording of the call as "Nation Spokesman of the New Black Panther Party" Chawn Kweli. “This stuff got to boil over, and all your greats talked about there having to be bloodshed involved with revolution — true revolution means some bloodshed.... We gotta go through it.”
And he sounds serious, too. “We’re talking about some blood. We’re going to have to cause some blood and go through some blood and battles,” Kweli emphasized. “I’m talking about that blond haired, blue eyed, sometime brown eyed, Caucasian walking around with a mindset — a demonistic mindset and a nature to do evil and brutality.”
Later, an unidentified female on the call praises black men who riot or kill whites. “I’m kinda pissed off right now that the state of Florida ain’t on fire,” she said. “I am for violence if non-violence means we continue to postpone a solution to the American black man’s problem just to avoid violence. You feel me?”
Petitioners, activists and shooter George Zimmerman’s family are all calling on race-obsessed Attorney General Eric Holder to arrest and prosecute the NBPP leadership involved in inciting violence. Among the grievances against the group was a “bounty” it offered for the “capture” of Zimmerman, who has said he shot 17-year-old Martin in self-defense. He has not yet been charged with a crime.
“I am writing you to ask you why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?” an unidentified member of Zimmerman’s family wrote in a letter to Holder. “I would surmise that, based on your own definition of a hate crime, you have chosen not to arrest these individuals based solely on your race.”
On the other side, white supremacists are claiming to be organizing “armed patrols” to “defend whites.” The neo-Nazi group NSM, long known to be filled with federal agents — or government agents provocateurs, as some analysts portray them — has made public statements suggesting that it, too, is making plans to parade around Florida in anticipation of a “race war.”
“The NSM does not disagree with the Panthers on the matter of Racial separation, however their ability to openly and very publicly break the law and avoid prosecution is something that is of grave concern to the White Community,” so-called NSM “Commander” Jeff Schoep wrote in a statement posted online, claiming his “patrols” would be operating within the law. “As citizens and neighbors dissolve along Racial lines, the possibility of further Racial violence in the Melting Pot is brimming over like a powder keg ready to explode into the streets.”
National Socialist Movement self-styled “Commander” Schoep told the Miami New Times that the group’s armed “patrols” consisted of 10 to 20 “volunteers” from around the state, though it remains unclear whether there really are any white supremacists on patrol. "We are not advocating any type of violence or attacks on anybody, but we are prepared for it," he was quoted as saying. "We are not the type of white people who are going to be walked all over."
While concern about the escalating potential for violence is growing, only minor incidents have been reported so far — mostly vandalism variously blasting and praising Zimmerman. Late last month in South Florida, however, a group of dozens of young protesters purporting to seek “Justice for Trayvon” ransacked a store. Residents were alarmed, but the furor soon died down.
Experts say that the Obama administration appears to be shielding the NBPP from prosecution — a controversial response that attracted severe criticism after members of the group were let off the hook despite intimidating voters at the polls in 2008. But, there are several state criminal statutes that the organization may have violated in recent weeks, too, opening up the possibility that they could be arrested in Florida.
