Mexico is exactly the anti-gun paradise Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to bring to America

I just saw on the news that U.S Marine veteran Jon Hammar, Jr. has been released and is now safely back home in the United States!

I know we're in the midst of a storm right now, but this is a ray of sunshine.

And it’s because of your action Mr. Hammar is no longer chained to a metal bed in one of Mexico’s most notorious prisons.

When I joined the U.S. Marine Corps 27 years ago, I made a pledge that I would remain always faithful to my country and my fellow Marines.

There’s something about that Marine Corps Motto -- “Semper Fidelis” or “Always Faithful” -- that sticks with a Marine.

It’s a part of my life. It’s ingrained in my heart.

It’s something I’ll never forget.

Today, as President of the National Association for Gun Rights, I’m proud to be on the frontlines in the defense of our Second Amendment rights.

NAGR counts tens of thousands of former U.S. Marines as current members and supporters.

So when I heard that U.S. Marine veteran Jon Hammar, Jr. was chained to a steel bed in a Mexican prison, I was outraged.

I wanted to know how I could get him home.

From the reports I read, U.S. Border Agents informed Mr. Hammar the antique firearm he was carrying would be legal in Mexico if he filled out the necessary paperwork.

He did, but was immediately jailed upon passing into Mexico.

He remained locked-up there for the last four months. Locked-up in what is considered one of Mexico's worst prisons -- a filthy cesspool filled with drug runners, gangs and murderers.

During that time, despite pleas from Mr. Hammar’s family, Hillary Clinton’s State Department flat-out refused to do ANYTHING to get Mr. Hammar home.

No pressure on the Mexican government. Nothing.

How could they let a U.S. Marine veteran languish in a foreign prison for four months and not work tirelessly to get him home?

I can only think Mexico’s anti-gun laws are the model for the gun bans Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama desire for this country.

After hearing of Mr. Hammar’s imprisonment, NAGR’s 1.5-million members and supporters sprang into action and began demanding Hillary Clinton’s State Department get my fellow Marine home.

Hundreds of thousands of petitions, phone calls, and emails directed at Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

I’ve been overwhelmed at the groundswell of activism NAGR members and supporters generated to get Mr. Hammar back on U.S. soil.

Even with this battle coming to an end, I continue to feel unsettled about the attacks I hear daily directed at our right keep and bear arms.

Attacks on the firearms we can own. The magazines we can possess. When and where we can buy ammunition.

That’s why I’m asking to you to mobilize, stay involved and take action when NAGR informs you of ANY and ALL assaults on our Second Amendment rights.

Barack Obama has made himself quite clear over the last week: an anti-gun avalanche like you and I have never seen is on the way.

It’s not coming in a few weeks or months.

The attack on our Second Amendment rights is here now and it’s here to stay.

That’s why it’s important NAGR have all resources necessary to FIGHT BACK and protect our Second Amendment rights.

NAGR must be able to respond and take action -- like in Mr. Hammar’s case -- on multiple fronts and issues at the same time.

Will you consider chipping in $10 or $20 to help make this possible?

Mr. Hammar’s four-month imprisonment is not something this former Marine will soon forget.

As I mentioned earlier, when I joined the Marine Corps, I pledged to always be faithful to my fellow Marines.

I also took an oath to defend the Constitution, and that oath is still sacred to me.

Our Constitutional gun rights are in danger.

I need you in this battle with me now more than ever.

Sincerely,

David Warrington, Esquire

P.S. Thanks to the grassroots pressure applied to Hillary Clinton’s State Department by NAGR’s member and supporters, Marine veteran Jon Hammar, Jr. is now safely home on American soil.

Mexico is exactly the anti-gun paradise Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to bring to America.

Please consider chipping in $10 or $20 to help fight back and win the anti-gun battles gun owners are facing in our country RIGHT NOW.
