The vote is in

You may have already heard the news about the vote just a couple of hours ago.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid passed a motion to kill Senate Amendment 1520 that would have overturned Obama's abortion pill mandate once and for all.

The final vote was 51 to 48 to uphold Obama's Abortion Pill Mandate.

But the real story is that while we might have lost this battle, the abortion lobby exposed 51 senators that will now have to face tens of thousands of angry pro-life voters in their next election.

And thanks to your activism and generous support, we are well on our way to winning the war where we have reached a record number of cosponsors of the Life at Conception Act, which would strike at the heart of Roe v. Wade using the Supreme Court's own language.

In fact, in Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court said:

"We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins . . . the judiciary at this point in the development of man's knowledge is not in a position to speculate as to the answer."

Then the High Court made a key admission:

"If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case [i.e., “Roe” who sought an abortion], of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment."

The fact is, the 14th Amendment couldn’t be clearer:

". . . nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law, nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law."

Furthermore, the 14th Amendment says:

"Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."

That's exactly what a Life at Conception Act would do, it would use the words of the Supreme Court against itself.

And now thanks to your activism and generous support, our election year pro-life identification program has identified more than one million new pro-lifers in target states and districts to hold politicians seeking re-election accountable for their pro-abortion votes.

So ultimately, this vote earlier today will be nothing more than a speed bump on the road to cleaning out the Senate this November and ultimately passing a Life at Conception Act to overturn Roe v. Wade and end abortion-on-demand.
