Gov. Johnson op-ed: Libya, Afghanistan and the Middle East -- Why Obama and Romney are Both Wrong

September 14, 2012
The Huffington Post
By Gov. Gary Johnson

Foreign policy is supposed to make us safer, not get Americans killed and bankrupt us. Yet, even as we mourn the loss of four Americans in Libya and watch the Middle East ignite with anti-American fervor, our leaders don't get it.

In one corner, we have the U.S. apologists warning that -- after the murders in Libya and the attack on our embassy in Cairo -- we must be careful not to say or do anything that might hurt someone's feelings. In the other corner, we have the chest-thumpers demanding that we find somebody to shoot -- and shoot them.

Gary Johnson: An uphill battle to catch a wave, win the presidency

September 12, 2012
CNN.com
By Dan Merica

Gary Johnson says there are three keys to his campaign being successful: he needs you to know who he is, he needs to be on the ballot in as many states as possible and he needs other libertarians to support him.

And for the next two months, Johnson, the Libertarian party candidate for president and acknowledged underdog, will be zig-zagging across the country to make those admittedly unique goals a reality.

Libertarian Gary Johnson an ideal candidate

Gary Johnson strongly supports both the Constitution and civil liberties. Where does he stand on the issues? He would eliminate the IRS, audit the Federal Reserve, end the war in Afghanistan, reform health care, allow gays to marry, and legalize and regulate marijuana.

There are several issues that voters frequently ask about, but I will touch on a few that have been getting a lot of attention this election season.

By Charles Mahtesian

The Libertarian Party reports that Gary Johnson will be on the ballot in at least 47 states, plus the District of Columbia.

The party is involved in litigation to get him on the ballot in the three remaining states, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Michigan, where a judge ruled last week that Johnson could not appear on the ballot because he also ran as a Republican in the state’s February presidential primary.

New polls show unusual staying power for Gary Johnson

September 15, 2012

By Matthew Reece

During the past week, new polling results for Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson have come from Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, and Virginia. These new polls have Johnson winning 3% of the vote in Colorado, 7% in Montana, 7% in New Mexico, 4.5% in Ohio, and 3.8% in Virginia. A Zogby poll released on September 3 had Johnson at 4.3% nationally. While these numbers are not large enough to seriously challenge for the presidency, they do exceed the margin of victory between President Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney in every case.

Young Ron Paul supporters express support for Gary Johnson, say Romney, Obama the same

Red Alert Politics
By John Rossomando

Mitt Romney is just not going to cut it for many of Ron Paul’s devoted legion of young followers.

Most of the Ron Paul supporters approached by Red Alert Politics Friday night at the Liberty Political Action Conference in Chantilly, Va., said they could not see many differences between Romney and President Obama. Their general consensus was that Romney is a weak candidate who has not effectively made his case.

Who is Gary Johnson? If you watch most of the national coverage of the U.S. presidential campaign, you might not know.

But Johnson is getting plenty of “write-in” attention in Business First’s weekly Pulse survey. With the campaigns in full swing, Business First asked online readers this week: “If the presidential election were held today, which candidate would get your vote?”

Johnson thwarts GOP ballot challenge

Philadelphia. One state down, two to go. That’s how Gary Johnson is looking at his current ballot access fight against the Republican Party. This weekend, it was announced that Pennsylvania judges ruled in favor of the Libertarian Presidential candidate. That brings Johnson’s total to 48 states and DC. If the candidate is equally successful in Michigan and Oklahoma, he will be the only challenger to the establishment’s Obama and Romney appearing on ballots in all 50 states.

First radio ads from Gov. Gary Johnson

Friends,

Thanks to you, Liberty is on the air across America!

We are receiving phone calls and emails from people across the country who are hearing the very first radio ads from Gov. Gary Johnson. And they are excited. If you haven’t heard the spots, you can listen here: Be Libertarian with Me

Your contributions have put Gov. Johnson’s message of freedom, small government, and non-intervention abroad on key radio programs and in key states for millions to hear.

The timing is perfect. With the Republican and Democratic conventions over, the world erupting in violence against American interference, and no end to our economic turmoil in sight, many voters are not feeling good about their ‘major party’ choices in November – and they are ready to listen to Gov. Johnson. Now we have to make sure our message STAYS on the air. Your support today will do just that.

It is no secret that we don’t have the hundreds of millions of special interest dollars the Republicans and Democrats have. But we have you – and we have the truth. Fortunately, it doesn’t take as much money to tell the truth as it does for Gov. Romney and President Obama to convince voters that, if they put the status quo back in office, things are somehow going to be different.

We MUST keep Gov. Johnson on the air. The radio advertising buy we launched this week will be finished in a few days – unless we have the funds to keep the ads on the air. And of course, as we get closer to the election, we need to spread them to more stations, more programs and more cities. Your contribution today makes that happen.

All the work, all the financial support, and all Gov. Johnson’s effort over the past several months are paying off. The national media, the Republican and Democrat establishments, and voters across the nation are taking note of Gov. Johnson. Our social media – Facebook, Google+ and Twitter – have exploded with new followers.  Now, it is crunch time. More than ever, it is critical that we have the funding to execute the plans we have made for these final few weeks.

Please go to www.garyjohnson2012.com and make sure we keep Liberty on the air!

Thanks, as always, for your support.

Ron Nielson
Senior Advisor
Gov. Gary Johnson

P.S. Our legal battles across the nation continue with the Republicans who are trying to keep Gov. Johnson off the ballot in key states.  Those fights make your contributions more important than ever.  Please go to www.garyjohnson2012.com and help.

Romney Caught On Hidden Camera - Could This Be It For Romney?!

Urgent: Harry Reid to kill Audit the Fed

Campaign for Liberty

With the U.S. Senate likely to recess after this weekend, this could be our last opportunity in this Congress to force a Senate vote on Audit the Fed.

So if you haven't yet read John Tate's email about our opportunity to Audit the out-of-control Federal Reserve, please take a moment to do so right away.

And while you're at it, make sure to sign your Action Fax Authorization Form so Campaign for Liberty can flood the U.S. Senate with faxes DEMANDING passage of Audit the Fed.

So please, take a moment to read John's email - and don't forget to sign your Action Fax Authorization Form IMMEDIATELY!

In Liberty,

Teri C.

Ben Bernanke and his out-of-control bankster cronies seem determined to drive our economy straight off a cliff and destroy our dollar in the process.

If you saw the Fed put its foot on the gas announcing QE3 last week, you could hardly come to any other conclusion.

Even after the QE1 and QE2 FAILURES, the Fed is back to its old tricks and pumping even more money into our economy - to the tune of $40 BILLION per month.

Indefinitely. There's no end in sight.

Blaine, it's up to you and me to stop the madness and strip the Fed's corruption naked before the American people by finally auditing the Federal Reserve.

That's why I'm counting on you to please sign your Action Fax Authorization Form IMMEDIATELY.

By signing your form, you'll allow me to flood the U.S. Senate - including Harry Reid's office - with faxes from good folks like you DEMANDING passage of Audit the Fed.

But with the U.S. Senate likely to recess after next weekend, this may be our last opportunity in this Congress.

The good news is, Senator Rand Paul is working feverishly right now to bring Audit the Fed to the Senate floor.

But success or failure in this fight depends on the support of grassroots activists like you from all across the country.

As you know, nearly 75% of the American people support an audit of the Federal Reserve.

And as recently as 2010 - when he was facing a tough reelection - Senator Reid stated he supported a Federal Reserve audit!

But when Audit the Fed recently passed the U.S. House, Harry Reid immediately declared there would be NO Senate vote on auditing the Fed.

But control of the U.S. Senate is up for grabs this November.

So it's up to you and me to send a message to the U.S. Senate: Go against the wishes of nearly 75% of the American people, and find a new job.

So please, help send a loud-and-clear message to the U.S. Senate by signing your Action Fax Authorization Form IMMEDIATELY.

And if possible, I hope you'll agree to your generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, $35, or whatever you can afford.

Every dollar you give will help me mobilize more Americans to WIN this fight.

Your Action Fax - along with hundreds of thousands of others - will prove to Harry Reid that the American people are FED up and want to see a bright public spotlight shined on the Federal Reserve.

But as I told you, time is running out.

And if you and I are going to win, it's going to take your generous and IMMEDIATE support.

So please sign your Action Fax Authorization Form and make your most generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, $35 - or whatever you can afford - IMMEDIATELY.

In Liberty,

John Tate
President

P.S. Senator Rand Paul is working feverishly right now to force a vote on Audit the Fed.

But his success or failure will depend on how much pressure you and I can apply to Harry Reid's office and the rest of the U.S. Senate over the next few days.

So please sign your Action Fax Authorization Form and make your most generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, $35 - or whatever you can afford - IMMEDIATELY!
