Man, 23, Charged With DUI On Bicycle

Police: Carlisle Man's BAC More Than 0.30 Percent

CARLISLE, Pa. -- A 23-year-old Carlisle man was arrested Monday evening on charges of public drunkenness and DUI on a bicycle. Carlisle Police Benjamin Edwards Benjamin J. Edwards' blood alcohol content was more than 0.30 percent, Carlisle police said. The legal limit is 0.08 percent. When EMS was called to treat him, he tried to run away, police said. Officers took Edwards into custody a few hundred feet away after he resisted, police said. He has been charged with public drunkenness, DUI, resisting arrest and flight to avoid apprehension.
