REVELATION 17 FULFILLMENT
* Could the current unprecedented crisis engulfing Pope Benedict XVI be a sign for His people that the prophecy of Rev. 17 is nearing fulfillment?

Revelation 17 tells us that the reign of the 7th king is going to be a short reign. "He must continue a short space" (Revelation 17:10). The 7th king/pope was destined to be a transitional pope, preparing the way for the Eighth. What better way for Satan to prepare the stage for the Eighth than to have the current pope enmeshed in a moral crisis, leading the world to yearn for a new pope who will restore the church’s credibility and undo all the harm caused by the 7th king/pope? This way, the Eighth will emerge as church cleanser, who will not hesitate to cleanse his church first backed by divine mandate as a messenger of heaven, before moving on to eliminate much of the corruption that exists in the world. Such a posturing by the Eighth will ensure universal acceptance and support, and will rally the world behind and around the Roman Catholic Church.
Needless to day, the timely appearance of the impersonated John Paul II will render the reign of the mortally wounded Benedict XVI as a mere historical footnote.
