Second Amendment Rights –
We, as firearm owners, are protected under the Second Amendment to the
United States Constitution and Article I Section 21 of the Pennsylvania
Constitution. President Obama is considering several actions by
executive order that may infringe on our rights.
I will soon be introducing
legislation which would make it illegal to enforce those rules or
regulations in the Commonwealth. My bill would be similar to legislation
I support (House Bill 357, authored by state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe,
R-Butler) with the exception of it pertaining only to executive order
and regulations by a federal agency.
Planning for 2013-14….gets
underway when Gov. Tom Corbett presents his budget address to the
General Assembly on Tuesday, Feb. 5. You can watch his speech on my

grants by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
Summer Jobs –
Job applications are now being accepted for the 2013 Summer Turnpike
Program for toll, maintenance and clerical programs. The number of
positions available is limited, and the deadline to apply is Friday,
March 15.
