Combined State/Federal Casework Day in Delta

People in southern York County having trouble with federal agencies and paperwork will soon be able to get some help. My staff is partnering with the staff from U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey’s office to hold a constituent outreach day at the Delta Senior Center, in Delta on Monday, March 4, from 9 a.m.- noon.

Jo Anna Shovlin and Steve Pugh of my Red Lion office will be present to assist in preparing Pennsylvania property tax and rent rebates and any other state-related matters.  Constituents seeking help with state matters are asked to call Kim (717-456-5753) at the Delta Senior Center to set up an appointment. Jeff Ditzler of Toomey’s office will be there to assist constituents on federal matters and difficulties people may be having with federal agencies. Free notary services will also be available.

Whether the issue is a state or federal matter, constituents are encouraged to bring relevant documents they have received regarding the case for which they are seeking assistance.  The Delta Senior Center is located at 5 Pendyrus St., in Delta. The phone number is (717) 456-5753.

Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan testified before the House Appropriations Committee this week that further gun control laws are not the answer to violent crime. In response to members’ questions on the subject, Noonan said focusing his troopers and local police on habitual law breakers and Pennsylvania’s high-crime urban areas would have more impact toward reducing violent attacks on law-abiding citizens.
