Will Senator Rubio keep campaign promise?

As you may know, the Republican National Platform has long called for the passage of a Life at Conception Act.

Very simply a Life at Conception Act would legislatively bypass Roe v. Wade by using the Supreme Court's own language against itself.

Thus, supporting the Life at Conception Act should be a no-brainer for any pro-life Republican Member of Congress.

In fact as I write you today, the Life at Conception Act has gained an all-time record of 159 cosponsors both in the House and Senate.

But inexplicably, Senator Marco Rubio is not among them.

In fact, of the 66 freshmen members of Congress who pledged to cosponsor the Life at Conception Act while running for office, Mr. Rubio remains as one of only three "pledge breakers."

That's why I hope you will authorize National Pro-Life Alliance to send a fax to Mr. Rubio on your behalf, which I'll link to in a moment.

You see, when the Supreme Court invented the so-called "right" to an abortion, they left an opening for Congress to act on the question of when life begins.

In Roe v. Wade, the Court ruled: "We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins . . . The judiciary at this point in the development of man's knowledge is not in a position to speculate as to the answer . . ."

The Court then admitted that if the personhood of an unborn baby is established, the right to abort "collapses, for the fetus' right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment . . ."

Now what the Court was saying, if you look through the legal mumbo-jumbo, is that the U.S. Congress has the power to legally define when life begins. The same judges who wrote Roe v. Wade actually admitted this.

Thus a Life at Conception Act -- by legally defining that life begins at conception -- would simply bring the legal definition of "life" in line with the biological definition . . . in effect overturning Roe v. Wade.

That's why the National Pro-Life Alliance has been putting a major election year effort to sign up additional cosponsors for the Life at Conception Act.

And as I said earlier, thanks to National Pro-Life Alliance members, the Life at Conception Act has already reached a record number of Congressional cosponsors in this session.

But in politics, nothing moves unless it is pushed.

Individually, you may think that there is not that much you and I can do to sway politicians. But, when we band together, you and I can make our voices heard and our actions felt.

So please, click here to add your name to the list to authorize my staff here at NPLA to send a fax to Mr. Rubio at once.

Remember, in the time it has taken you to read this letter, 35 babies have been slaughtered by abortionists.

That's more than 4,000 per day -- more than 1.6 million innocent lives each year.

The fact is, hesitant politicians face lots of pressure from the pro-abortion national media and pro-abortion groups with deep pockets, like the so-called "National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL)" and "Planned Parenthood."

But every politician knows that when they are flooded with mail from their constituents, they had better pay attention.

So it's that vital that you click here immediately to insist that Rubio honor his campaign promise to pro-lifers and cosponsor the Life at Conception Act at once.

And, if at all possible, please include a donation to help us cover the cost of this national campaign to get action on the Life at Conception Act. Your contribution of $15, $25, $50 or even $500 would be a huge help.

But whatever you do, please make sure you click here to authorize NPLA's staff to send a fax in your name to Mr. Rubio at once, insisting that he honor his campaign promise and cosponsor the Life at Conception Act.

For Life,

Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

P.S. Of the 66 freshmen members of Congress who promised to cosponsor the Life at Conception Act during their election campaign, Mr. Rubio remains one of only three "pledge breakers."

Please click here to authorize the National Pro-Life Alliance to send a special fax to Mr. Rubio today.
