Pope Benedict XVI Charged with Crimes Against Humanity

Two German lawyers have filed charges at the International Criminal Court against Pope Benedict XVI.

Christian Sailer and Gert-Joachim Hetzel, both from Benedict's home state of Bavaria, have charged His Holiness with three counts of crimes against humanity.

The charges were presented to Dr. Luis Moreno Ocampo, who is the prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in the Hague.  The prosecutor's office will now have to determine whether the charges against Pope Benedict contain merit.

In their complaint, Sailer and Hetzel are particularly adamant about the act of baptism, which they claim is an irrevocable act performed on children who are too young to be able to give their consent.

Similar cases have been presented to the ICC in the past and have never been brought to trial, but the recent global outrage over sex crimes committed against young children by Catholic clergy may provide some impetus for the prosecutor to more carefully consider the merits of the charges against the Pope.

Charges initiated against Pope for crimes against humanity

PATSY McGARRY, Religious Affairs Correspondent

TWO GERMAN lawyers have initiated charges against Pope Benedict XVI at the International Criminal Court, alleging crimes against humanity.

Christian Sailer and Gert-Joachim Hetzel, based at Marktheidenfeld in the Pope’s home state of Bavaria, last week submitted a 16,500-word document to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court at the Hague, Dr Luis Moreno Ocampo.

Their charges concern “three worldwide crimes which until now have not been denounced . . . (as) the traditional reverence toward ‘ecclesiastical authority’ has clouded the sense of right and wrong”.

They claim the Pope “is responsible for the preservation and leadership of a worldwide totalitarian regime of coercion which subjugates its members with terrifying and health-endangering threats”.

They allege he is also responsible for “the adherence to a fatal forbiddance of the use of condoms, even when the danger of HIV-Aids infection exists” and for “the establishment and maintenance of a worldwide system of cover-up of the sexual crimes committed by Catholic priests and their preferential treatment, which aids and abets ever new crimes”.

They claim the Catholic Church “acquires its members through a compulsory act, namely, through the baptism of infants that do not yet have a will of their own”. This act was “irrevocable” and is buttressed by threats of excommunication and the fires of hell.

It was “a grave impairment of the personal freedom of development and of a person’s emotional and mental integrity”. The Pope was “responsible for its preservation and enforcement and, as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of his Church, he was jointly responsible” with Pope John Paul II.

Catholics “threatened by HIV-AIDS . . . are faced with a terrible alternative: If they protect themselves with condoms during sexual intercourse, they become grave sinners; if they do not protect themselves out of fear of the punishment of sin threatened by the church, they become candidates for death.”

There was also “strong suspicion that Dr Joseph Ratzinger, as prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of his church and as Pope, has up to the present day systematically covered up the sexual abuse of children and youths and protected the perpetrators, thereby aiding and abetting further sexual violence toward young people”.

Vatican Scorecard: American Civil War Edition

Vatican Scorecard: American Civil War Edition

The first in a new series in which Assembly editor Steven Garbas examines the many instances in which the Pope has been on the wrong side of history.

In 1861, southern states attacked the north at South Carolina’s Fort Sumter, setting off the American Civil War. Although the roots of the conflict are complex, it was largely fought over money. The Confederacy was the major world exporter of cotton and textiles and stood to lose massive revenues if its source of free labor was cut off through the abolition of slavery proposed by the federal government. The Union, on the other hand, had never developed as strong a slave-owning culture, due in part to a shorter growing season which made the keeping of year-round slaves impractical. In addition, the increasing industrialization of the north made it less dependent upon cheap human labor. However, despite the economic realities at the heart of the war, the Confederacy consistently framed the dispute as one of the power of the Federation over the rights of states (the main use of contentious power, obviously, being abolition).

After the war began, the Confederacy began sending agents abroad looking for support. It hoped to find an ally in Britain, believing that that country’s huge appetite for the South’s exports would make it a natural supporter of the Confederacy. Southern spokesman made the case that the abolition of slave labor would lead to significantly higher costs for Britain.

Their arguments did not sway London, however. Recognition of the Confederacy meant war with the United States, something Britain was not eager to jump into. Moreover, accepting access to cheap Confederate cotton and textiles would cost Britain imports of American grain, endanger its North American colonies, and run contrary to popular antislavery sentiment among its citizens.

Both Britain and France began increasing imports from their respective colonies in response to the Union blockade of Confederate exports. The Confederacy found itself effectively isolated in its cause.

Or so it seemed.

In November 1863, two and a half years in the conflict, the Confederacy received unconditional recognition and support from an unlikely source: the Vatican.

Hand-delivered to Confederate diplomat A. Dudley Mann, the letter from Pope Pius IX was addressed “to the Illustrious and Honorable Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America”: de facto recognition of the rebel union of the South. At the time, the Pope was recognized as “King of the Papal States,” and would therefore provide the lone exception to the global diplomatic freeze that united the world against the Confederacy.

From November 1863 on, it was the world against the Confederacy—and God. The Pope’s letter to Jefferson concluded with a promise to “shed abroad upon you the light of His grace, and attach you to us by a perfect friendship.” Some believed that the Pope had provided Davis (and the South) with God’s infinite protection. Accompanying the letter was a small, hand-woven crown of thorns (believed to be made by the Pope himself) along with autographed portrait.

Pius harbored a longstanding hatred of the United States because of its involvement in the Italian revolution of 1848, which overthrew the Italian monarchy. Some historians go so far as to argue that the Pope had a personal hatred for Lincoln, and that Pius IX was eager to oppose him politically by turning the tide of the Civil War in the Confederacy’s favor.

Davis wasted no time publishing the Pope’s letter, and both sides immediately understood its impact. Lincoln and the Union were astonished by the content of the letter and wrote the Vatican demanding clarification. The response from the Vatican (not the Pope) merely stated that the Pope’s letter was not meant to be considered official recognition of the South, in a “formal sense.” Lincoln sought counsel from his long-time faith advisor and former priest, Charles Chiniquy. Chiniquy famously called the letter “a poisoned arrow thrown by the Pope at [Lincoln] personally” and said that this was Lincoln’s “death warrant.”

Lincoln began taking greater precautions to protect himself from the Pope’s men in America. He spoke directly of the concern posed by fanatics over the Pope’s letter and involvement. (Of course, Lincoln would be assassinated by the purportedly non-religious John Wilkes Booth at the war’s end.)

In the second half of the war, Catholic desertions were rampant. The desertion rate of Irish soldiers alone shot up to 33 times its pre-letter rate. Some of this can certainly be attributed to the rampant anti-Irish and anti-Catholic bigotry that saturated the US at the time. But some deserters even re-enlisted and fought for the Confederacy (although most simply refused to fight at all.)

Ultimately, the Pope’s support for the Confederacy had little effect on the course of the war. Recognition from the Papal States could cause desertions, but didn’t contribute battalions or offer economic relief. The Confederacy was defeated, and slavery was abolished.

Although he never signed an official statement of support or created a proper alliance with the Confederacy, Pope Pius IX was hated in Rome for his controversial politics. He was often accused of exploiting religious propaganda to increase his personal power. However, he remained immensely popular in the post-war South, and Robert E. Lee is known to have remarked that Pius was “the South’s only true friend in her time of need.”

In 1869 Pius convened the First Vatican Council and issued the doctrine of papal infallibility, which states that the Pope, as an instrument of the Holy Spirit, is incapable of error. However, it has not been officially stated whether the recognition of the Confederacy and the friendship between the South and the Vatican were based on direct orders from God.

In 1870, Pius lost sovereignty in the Papal States. He died in 1878 as the longest-serving Pope in history. After three “recommencements” (all officially opposed by the Italian government), Pope Pius IX was beatified on September 3rd, 2000.

Catholic college fires gay professor

Rev. James St. George was fired for engaging in a gay relationship, Chestnut Hill College said. (Mark C. Psoras/For the Daily News)
Chestnut Hill College said it fired a part-time professor for engaging in a same-sex relationship -- conduct which the institution said is "contrary to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church."
The college, in a statement, said it terminated the Rev. James St. George after he made "public statements of his involvement in a gay relationship with another man for the past 15 years." The statements apparently were in a blog.
The private Catholic school seemed to suggest that St. George had somehow misled the college during his hiring process. It appeared surprised to discover -- well after it hired him in 2009 to teach Bible studies and other subjects -- that he belonged to a branch of Catholicism that is not associated with the Vatican and allows priests to be actively gay.
St. George, in an interview Saturday, cheerfully said that, yes, he is gay and that, in fact, he recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of his relationship with his partner. He leads St. Miriam Church in Blue Bell, affiliated with the Old Catholic Apostolic Church of America.
He disputed that he had withheld anything from the college.
"What am I supposed to do?" he asked. "Say, before we go any further, I'm gay? Who says that?"
College President Carol Jean Vale said in a statement Friday night that, "at the time St. George joined our faculty, he presented himself as Father St. George and openly wore a traditional Catholic priest's collar."
The statement, which was released to several news outlets, including the Philadelphia Daily News, continued: "While St. George appears to be an ordained pastor -- he leads St. Miriam, an independent and self-described reformed Antioch-rite Catholic house of worship located in Blue Bell, Pa. -- his church allows priests the option to engage in same-sex partnerships."
St. George, 45, of Lansdale, said he was shocked by the firing, which he learned about Feb. 18. He was due to teach courses in theology and justice, and world religions starting this Tuesday.
The termination, he suggested, grew from a letter sent to college officials and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia by James J. Pepper, a Blue-Bell based attorney who specializes in whistle blower cases.
Pepper could not be reached for comment Saturday.
The Daily News reported Thursday that the Pepper letter described St. George as a "heretic" because of his affiliation with the Old Catholic Apostolic Church of America, and said that his employment by Chestnut Hill College was "scandalous" because he is gay.
The college said that it acted to fire St. George only after he outed himself as gay.
"It is important to note that this information came to our attention only after St. George chose to make his private life public information on his blog," the Vale statement said.
"While we welcome diversity, it is expected that all members of our College community, regardless of their personal beliefs, respect and uphold our Roman Catholic mission, character and values both in the classroom and in public statements that identify them with our school," the statement said. "For this reason, we chose not to offer an additional teaching contract to St. George."
Jessica Murray, 23, a student of St. George's, said she was appalled by the firing.
"All you have to do is Google him, you can see that he's openly gay. They can't claim they didn't know," she said.
"His students are missing out on a wonderful opportunity," she said.

Bishops from Texas and Illinois discuss Obama’s ‘Catholic’ appointments

WASHINGTON, February 25, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - With the controversy over pro-abortion Catholic politicians in the limelight thanks to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, it’s a good time to review some relevant interview material that we were not able to use in a story due to lack of time.

While it is true that the Vatican has been clear in its insistence on the denial of communion for pro-abortion Catholic politicians, it is also true that the vast majority of US bishops have shied away from that approach.

Most, however, have not however refused to voice their disappointment with Catholic politicians who buck the faith on the matter of abortion.

At the March for Life in DC this past January, LifeSiteNews spoke with Dallas Texas Auxillary Bishop Mark Sites and Illinois Bishop Joseph Siegel from the Joliette Diocese about Obama’s appointment of Catholics who oppose the Church’s teaching on life.

Bishop Sites, who could boast of more than 100 members of his diocese who made the long trek to DC for the March, said that the Church’s pro-life teachings are indispensible. “We have to continue to evangelize our Catholics also so that they can understand this isn’t an optional teaching of our Church,” he said.  “That it is not something we can set aside but it is the very heart of social justice that Jesus proclaimed.”

Bishop Siegel, suggested that the many Presidential appointments of Catholics who oppose the right to life is a “very sad” situation.  It is, he said, “Not living out faith authentically. Not witnessing in the public forum to their faith”

“Can’t have it both ways,” he added.  The Church must, he said continue to “point out our teaching, keep it firm, saying this is what it means to be a faithful Catholic.”

“If you’re not abiding by that, not legislating that way, not supporting that, then it’s hard to play yourself as a faithful Catholic,” added Bishop Siegel. “If you’re not following something essential as the Gospel of life and the teachings on life.”

Those lessons need to ring loud and clear as the numbers of politically prominent but dissident Catholics increase dramatically in the United States setting the stage for scandal.

In the news today two prominent Catholic politicians - the Governor, the House Speaker and the Senate President - have all acted in favor of the bill to redefine marriage to include homosexual couples.

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, although he boasts of Mass attendance even beyond Sundays has said he will sign the bill.  House Speaker Michael E. Busch said he’d support the legislation in the House.

Pope's Lent message has similarities with ancient Hindu text Bhagavad-Gita

Pope's Lent message has similarities with ancient Hindu text Bhagavad-Gita

Lent 2011 message of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI posted on Vatican website has some similarities with the teachings of ancient Hindu scripture Bhagavad-Gita, according to distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed.

Pope says in the Lent message, which starts on March nine this year: "In our journey, we are often faced with the temptation of accumulating and love of money that undermine God's primacy in our lives. The greed of possession leads to violence, exploitation and death. The idolatry of goods, on the other hand, not only causes us to drift away from others, but divests man, making him unhappy, deceiving him, deluding him without fulfilling its promises, since it puts materialistic goods in the place of God, the only source of life."

Bhagavad-Gita points out: there are three gates to self-destructive hell-greed, anger, and desire. Abandon these three. A person freed from these three gates of darkness, seeks what is best and attains life's highest goal.

The essence of Bhagavad-Gita was also renunciation and it promised "freedom through renunciation", Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, argued in a statement in Nevada (USA) today.

Pope further says in Lent message: How can we understand God's paternal goodness, if our heart is full of egoism and our own projects, deceiving us that our future is guaranteed?

Bhagavad-Gita states:...by dedication to selfless work one accomplishes the supreme goal of life...let the Atman (Self, the innermost soul) rule the ego.

Rajan Zed indicated that as per ancient Hindu thought, selfless work sanctified consciousness. As ego-entanglement contaminated most human action, it could not sanctify consciousness. On the other hand, selfless work simply had no streak of ego-entanglement.

In the Good Friday Meditations and Prayers led by Pope at Roman Colosseum in 2009, verse from ancient Hindu scripture Brahadaranyakopanishad was included.

Commending Pope for inclusion of themes from ancient Hindu texts, Zed said that it was a remarkable gesture from Pope and invited him to study more ancient Hindu scriptures, which were very rich in philosophical thought. He or other Hindu scholars would gladly provide the help and resources in this regard, if asked, Zed added.

Rajan Zed stressed that all religions should work together for a just and peaceful world. Dialogue would bring us mutual enrichment.

Roman Catholic Church, headed by Pope, is the largest of the Christian denominations. Hinduism, oldest and third largest religion of the world, has about one billion adherents, and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal. Lent is a traditional season in the Christian year consisting of forty days preceding Easter of fasting, penitence and spiritual discipline. (ANI)

Ex-Foreign Service Officer Connects America and Vatican with Files from Famed, Mysterious Archives

A former Foreign Service Officer connects American and Vatican history. Previously unpublished material on Ben Franklin emerges, insight into Papal operations, portfolio, listening post activities.

(OPENPRESS) February 26, 2011 -- What happens when you are invited into the famous and mysterious Vatican Archives to see the files that so often spike the imagination of fiction authors? Robert Illing, a U.S. Foreign Service Officer sent by the State Department in 1970 with Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge to open a permanent mission in the Vatican, was invited into the Secret Archives. When he asked for permission to reproduce some files that caught his interest, he got that permission and used the files 40 years later in his new book "America and the Vatican: Trading Information after World War II."

Illing, a native San Franciscan and the owner of a vineyard in Portugal, was a career Foreign Service Officer for 25 years. He served in Mexico, Portugal, Yugoslavia, and the Vatican. His experience at the latter provided an abundance of material virtually unknown to the American public. In his newly released book he presents many points culled from that experience and the Archives such as:

• The part Benjamin Franklin played in helping the Holy See set up an independent structure for the American Church’

• The influence Franklin had in the selection of the first Catholic bishop

• The role of the Vatican in the American Revolution and Civil War

• The nature of the Vatican’s investment portfolios

• The Vatican’s foreign relations and how it functions

• The war on drugs waged by the Vatican

"America and the Vatican: Trading Information after World War II" was published by History Publishing Company of Palisades, NY. “When an author provides significant new material about a prominent person of history, a valuable contribution to the study of history is made,” said Publisher Don Bracken. ”When that person of history is one so well studied as Benjamin Franklin, it is remarkable as well.”

"America and the Vatican" 9781933909691 devotes a full chapter to the Franklin experience. The author found the file in the archive section Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith. The book contains 246 pages, contains signed documents and photographs and is now available in bookstores nationally.

Clinton convenes mass meeting of US ambassadors

Clinton convenes mass meeting of US ambassadors

(AP) – Jan 31, 2011

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is convening an unprecedented mass meeting of U.S. ambassadors.

The top envoys from nearly all of America's 260 embassies, consulates and other posts in more than 180 countries will be gathering at the State Department beginning on Monday. Officials say it's the first such global conference.

The gathering comes at a time of crisis in Egypt that could reshape dynamics in the Middle East, fallout from leaked diplomatic documents and congressional calls for sweeping cuts in foreign aid.

Although the meeting has been called to discuss U.S. foreign policy priorities for 2011, officials say Clinton plans to meet personally with ambassadors from front-line states to hear about developments on the ground. Officials also expect that specific concerns about the WikiLeaks revelations will be raised.

Hillary Clinton calls historic meeting of ambassadors

POLITICO By JENNIFER EPSTEIN & LAURA ROZEN | 1/31/11

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has called top envoys from U.S. embassies to gather in Washington on Monday for a wide-ranging foreign policy meeting.

Ambassadors from almost all 260 U.S. embassies, consulates and other posts in more than 180 countries are expected to convene at the State Department for what’s being billed as the first meeting of its kind.

Officials say the meeting will include discussion of foreign policy priorities for 2011, The Associated Press reported, as well as an assessment of the fallout from the release of secret diplomatic cables by WikiLeaks. Clinton will meet individually with diplomats working in unstable countries.

The meeting comes as protests continue in Egypt, where longtime President Hosni Mubarak could soon be pushed out of power. On Sunday, Clinton appeared in taped appearances on all five major TV talk shows to discuss what she called the need for “real democracy” in Egypt, while trying to avoid committing to siding with any one party in the conflict.

Clinton returned early Monday from a one-day trip to Haiti, where she met with the country’s presidential candidates. She insisted that though the U.S. government has political differences with Haiti, it will continue to support its rebuilding in the wake of last January’s devastating earthquake.

“We have a deep commitment to the Haitian people,” she said Sunday. “That goes to humanitarian aid, that goes to governance and democracy programs, that will be going to a cholera treatment center.”

The ambassadors hold meetings with their regional bureaus Monday and Tuesday. Clinton is set to address the ambassadors Wednesday about “leading through civilian power,” after a welcome from her chief of staff and counselor, Cheryl Mills. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice will then forecast the year ahead at the United Nations, and Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Bill Burns will do the same for the year ahead in foreign policy.

The ambassadors will also hear from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen on civilian-military operations in the 21st century, and USAID chief Raj Shah will speak on results-based development.

New Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Budget Thomas Nides will discuss the budget for 2011 and beyond.

But on that point, one official questioned why “every ambassador in the world was required to come back to the States for a group of lectures when this could have been done virtually,” noting that almost every ambassador flies business class, so costs could quickly add up.

The diplomatic powwow wraps up Friday, when the ambassadors fly back to their missions.

World business leaders told flying saucers are real & extraterrestrials exist

January 25, 2011. Michael E. Salla, Ph.D.

At five thousand dollars a ticket, some business leaders got more than they bargained for when they attended the first day of the Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They were told flying saucers are real, and they better start thinking about the business implications of extraterrestrial life and technologies. Convened each year by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, the GCF brings together business and political leaders to discuss ways of promoting business competitiveness. For the first time at its annual conference, the GCF held a panel discussing UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Titled "Learning from Outer Space" the panel comprised five speakers who all endorsed the view that extraterrestrial life is real, and has many implications for the world as we know it.

The panel was held on January 23, and was a "main plenary" session meaning all GCF participants were able to attend and hear what the experts had to say about UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Up to 1000 participants included business and political elites such as former British and Canadian Prime Ministers, Tony Blair and Jean Chretien; Jim Albaugh, President and CEO of Boeing; Andy Bird, chairman of Walt Disney International; Jared Cohen, Director of Google ideas, and many others. The advice they got was that the issue of extraterrestrial life is real, and they better start paying attention to the business implications. Here's how the GCF summarized the panel presentations on its website:

Learning from Outer Space - Panel

The unconventional and highly relevant topic of extraterrestrial life forms was addressed by yesterday's panel discussion "Contact: Learning from Outer Space". Experts Zoaghloul El-Naggar, Stanton Friedman, Michio Kaku, Nick Pope and Jacques Vallee made compelling cases for the existence of living beings elsewhere in the galaxy, drawing upon empirical evidence, religious theology and logical reasoning.

Mr. Friedman opened his remarks with a bold statement, "Flying saucers are real!" and this summed up the perspective of the panel members. Mr. Pope explored the potential business implications of outer space, such as the profitability of alien branding or sponsorship.

While El-Naggar was also convinced of their existence, he raised the interesting point that it may not be ethical to spend resources trying to contact alien societies when we still face war and poverty in our own society.

Mr. Vallee encouraged more academics to analyze the evidence. However, on behalf of his successful Venture Capital fund, he said, "We are not ready to invest in this type of research, but we think that somebody should."

The 2011 GCF conference panel on Outer Space has opened the door for world business leaders to seriously consider the implications of evidence concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life. A graphic summarizing GCF discussions by artist, Sunni Brown (top right), reveals the prominence given to issues of extraterrestrial contact and the overwhelming changes new energies will bring to humanity. Business leaders are poised to do what political leaders have so far failed to do - proactively deal with compelling evidence that we are being visited by galactic civilizations who have advanced technologies to share with humanity.

Hillary Clinton desire for UFO & extraterrestrial diplomacy

Continue reading on Examiner.com: Hillary Clinton desire for UFO & extraterrestrial diplomacy

Michael Salla Honolulu Exopolitics Examiner

When 12 years old, Hillary Clinton wrote a letter to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration on how to apply to be an astronaut. She received a reply from NASA that women were not admitted into the astronaut corps. In the 1990s, during her White House years, Hillary participated in a clandestine effort by the Clinton administration to find out the truth about UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Clinton administration efforts to be officially briefed were unsuccessful. FOIA documents requested by Grant Cameron, a Canadian UFO researcher, show the Clintons instead received an informal briefing by billionaire philanthropist Laurence Rockefeller. After her unsuccessful presidential bid and offer by President-Elect Obama to be Secretary of State, former President Bill Clinton revealed that becoming the nation’s chief diplomat was Hillary’s life long dream. All these background facts suggest Hillary Clinton desires to conduct diplomatic relations with extraterrestrial life.

Hillary Clinton is likely to continue her clandestine efforts to be officially briefed about extraterrestrial life. As the nation’s top diplomat, she has excellent prospects in gaining access to classified X-files within the State Department concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life. If she succeeds, she will be surprised to learn that diplomatic relations with extraterrestrial life have already occurred during the Eisenhower administration.

In 1954,compelling evidence exists that President Dwight Eisenhower conducted face-to-face nuclear diplomacy with extraterrestrials concerned about U.S. nuclear testing. On February 20, nine days before the detonation of the largest ever Hydrogen bomb test on March 1, Eisenhower was secretly taken to Edwards Air Force base for a highly classified meeting with representatives from another planet. The meeting was so classified that the entire base was shut down for a three day period and a cover story was developed to account for Eisenhower’s absence. Hearing reports of something strange happening at Edwards AFB, a reporter from the Los Angeles Times both tried to fly and drive to the base. Both times he was rebuffed by Edwards AFB security that told him the base was closed. Base closures are very rare for the U.S. Air Force, and an unprecedented event in the history of Edwards AFB (formerly Muroc Army Air Field).

Many witnesses have come forward to reveal aspects of Eisenhower meeting with ambassadors from another world on February 20, 1954. If nuclear diplomacy was indeed the topic of the discussions, the detonation of the Bravo Hydrogen bomb on March 1 signified the failure of the talks. The detonation of the Hydrogen bomb and the talk’s failure must have come as a great disappointment to President Eisenhower. Less three months earlier, on December 8, 1953, he gave his famous Atoms for Peace speech at the United Nations General Assembly. He proposed that the UN take control of the world’s nuclear stockpile and use it for peaceful purposes. At the upcoming International UFO Congress, in Laughlin Nevada (February 22-28), I will show how Eisenhower’s Atoms for Peace Speech was very likely influenced by his knowledge of extraterrestrial concern over radiation from nuclear weapons testing.

In just under two weeks, the 55th anniversary of the alleged Eisenhower meeting with extraterrestrials will occur. A conclusive answer to whether the meeting occurred or not will be found in the State Department’s X-Files. Hillary is likely to be surprised at what she finds. While Hillary never became an astronaut, she may soon succeed with her secret desire for UFO and extraterrestrial diplomacy.

Is historic meeting of 260 U.S. ambassadors related to UFOs and ET life?

February 15, 2011

Michael E. Salla, Ph.D.

On Monday, Feb 14, in the first meeting of its kind, 260 U.S. ambassadors began meeting in Washington D.C. for a week long conference to discuss foreign policy priorities for 2011. Among the priorities scheduled to be discussed are regional political upheavals, the rising international influence of social networks, and leaks by Wikileaks. Hillary Clinton will address the ambassadors on Wednesday about “leading through civilian power.” The meeting was first reported by the Associated Press on January 31, less than a week after the conclusion of the Global Competitiveness Forum where world business leaders were given an informal briefing about UFOs and extraterrestrial life by a panel of experts. Perhaps even more importantly, the Ambassadorial meeting was announced only three days after a spectacular UFO was filmed over the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. The question that arises is whether the historic meeting of 260 U.S. ambassadors is in some way related to UFOs and ET life?
This is what Politico had to say about the agenda of the Ambassadorial meeting:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has called top envoys from U.S. embassies to gather in Washington on Monday for a wide-ranging foreign policy meeting. Ambassadors from almost all 260 U.S. embassies, consulates and other posts in more than 180 countries are expected to convene at the State Department for what’s being billed as the first meeting of its kind…. Mike Mullen on civilian-military operations in the 21st century …

According to official releases concerning the agenda of the Ambassadorial enclave, there is nothing that hints at the UFO phenomenon being discussed. The timing of the meeting, first announced less then a week after two extraordinary world events, however, does point to a likely UFO connection.
The first event was a meeting of the Global Competitiveness Forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from January 23-25, 2011 which had for the first time a panel on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Five panelists were heard on the opening day at a plenary session, where most of the conference participants, comprising world business leaders such as former British and Canadian Prime Ministers, Tony Blair and Jean Chretien; Jim Albaugh, President and CEO of Boeing; Andy Bird, chairman of Walt Disney International; Jared Cohen, Director of Google ideas, and many others were told about evidence of UFOs and ET life. In short, world business leaders were told that flying saucers were real and that the advanced technology of extraterrestrial civilizations made possible a special kind of UFO for astute entrepreneurs – Unprecedented Financial Opportunities. A mystery participant to the GCF was former U.S. President Bill Clinton who spoke about advanced energy systems that await international development.
The second event concerned video and witness testimony of a spectacular UFO over the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem on January 28. The UFO was filmed by up to four independent sources, and witnessed by hundreds. The UFO appears first to descend directly over the Dome of the Rock, and then shot straight up in a spectacular flash of energy. Controversy has arisen over whether one or more of the videos is a fake. Credible Israeli researchers such as Barry Chamish, however, say that at least the first two of the videos are genuine and well supported by witness testimonies.
The significance of the Dome of the Rock cannot be underestimated in terms of a UFO sighting. It is a site holy to the world’s three major monotheistic religions: Islam; Judaism; and Christianity. A UFO appearing over the Dome of the Rock may well have the principal function of uniting humanity in response to the appearance of extraterrestrial life. Alternatively, it may be setting the scene for a Second Coming type of event that some believe is part of a covert operation called Project Blue Beam using holographic technologies? Was the UFO conducting a form of galactic diplomacy in preparing humanity for events that will point to the existence of extraterrestrial life? Or was it a scene setter for a contrived Second Coming and contrived alien invasion?
Adding a further element into the hiddent agenda behind the U.S., ambassadorial enclave, is that the current U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has a documented interest in the UFO phenomenon that goes back to her days in the Clinton White House. Hillary supported an initiative by deceased billionaire, Laurence Rockefeller, to get the White House to release government documents concerning UFOs. This raises the question, was her summoning of a historic meeting of 260 U.S. ambassadors from around the world done so they can be briefed in a secure environment on events about to unfold around the planet? Are these events related to the Dome of the Rock UFO incident and the Global Competitiveness Forum meeting where World business leaders were informally told of the reality of UFOs and extraterrestrial life? The need to have nearly all U.S. ambassadors flown in, rather than participate in an internet linkup suggests momentous events needed to be discussed in a secure leak-proof environment.
Hillary Clinton will speak tomorrow, Wednesday, February 16, to this first-time assembly of 260 U.S. ambassadors from around the world. Will she brief them about UFOs and their relationship to events about to unfold around the planet? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, look to the skies – especially if visiting Jerusalem.

Nation of Islam UFO discussion follows Vatican and Royal Society

Nation of Islam UFO discussion follows Vatican and Royal Society

By Jeff Peckman

Lousis Farakan speaking at the 2008 Saviors' Day Convention. He accepts UFOs as part of the core teachings of the Nation of Islam

Thousands are flocking to Chicago today for the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day 2011 Convention this weekend. The four main conference sessions include a serious and scientific discussion on “The Truth About the Existence of Unidentified Flying Objects” at 2:15pm Central Time, February 26. The sessions will be web cast at www.noi.org.

The UFO session speakers include Jaime Maussan (Mexico City), Ademar Gevaerd (Brazil), Dr. Roger Leir (USA), Donald R. Schmitt (USA), Antonio Urzi (Italy), Fernando Correa (Mexico), and Steve Colbern (USA). This writer was invited to speak at the UFO session but had to decline.

The topic of UFOs is one of the more controversial beliefs within the Nation of Islam. But it is quickly getting more into the mainstream. The Chicago session follows similar meetings of influential and prestigious organizations and grassroots movements:

- November 3, 2010, Initiative 300 was on the election ballot in Denver. It proposed to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver and received worldwide news media coverage.

- November 6-10, 2010, the Vatican held a conference on extraterrestrial life. One priest even declared he would baptize extraterrestrial beings.

- January 22-25, 2011, the 5th Annual Global Competiveness Forum in Saudi Arabia held a plenary session of top UFO experts to discuss, “Contact: What We Can Learn from Outer Space”, originally titled, “UFOs and Innovation”. Former heads of state Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, and Jean Cretien also spoke at the forum which was attended and addressed by top executives from many of the world’s most innovative corporations and organizations.

- February 13, 2011, a meeting of the 350 year-old Royal Society in London had no fewer than nine presentations on extraterrestrial life and its implications for various aspects of human life.Topics discussed at the Royal Society were:

  • The detection of extra-terrestrial life and the consequences for science and society

  • The evolution of organic matter in space

  • Predicting what extra-terrestrials will be like: and preparing for the worst

  • Extra-terrestrial life in the European Space Agency’s Cosmic Vision plan and beyond

  • The search for life in our Solar System and the implications for science and society

  • The search for extra-terrestrial intelligence

  • The implications of the discovery of extra-terrestrial life for religion

  • Fear, pandemonium, equanimity and delight: human responses to extra-terrestrial life

  • Discovery of extra-terrestrial life: assessment by scales of its importance and associated risks

- February 20, the Associated Press reported that scientists had estimated there are at least 50 billion planets in the Milky Way galaxy, and 500 million of them are “not-to-hot, not-too-cold” where life could potentially exist.

The UFO and extraterrestrial themes are not limited to large conferences. An unprecedented number of feature length films about extraterrestrial intelligent beings are hitting the screens from March to June of 2011.

Is there something we should know?
