Still More Prevaricating from Abercrombie Pal

Denver radio host Peter Boyles of KHOW 630 AM has been making life miserable for Mike Evans, the celebrity journalist pal of Hawaii governor, Neil Abercrombie.

Evans, the reader will recall, first stumbled into the news last week when he told the hosts of the 92 KQRS Morning Show in Minneapolis that Abercrombie had specifically told him, “There is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii – absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii.”

Once this story broke nationally, Boyles and WorldNetDaily’s Jerome Corsi confronted Evans on air, and he began to backtrack. Evans later told Fox News,

“I was on 34 radio stations that morning. That [92 KQRS] was the only station where I said, instead of saying, ‘The hospital said there’s no birth certificate.’ I misspoke and said, ‘Neil said that.’”

This morning, Thursday, when I was on the Boyles show, his producer was gathering clips from other stations around the nation on which Evans had appeared last week, and it became clear that the Minneapolis station was not the “only” one on which Evans “misspoke.”

Last week, in fact, Evans had told the audience of 590 KLBJ in Austin, “Yesterday I talked to Neil. Said that he searched everywhere.”

Evans had also told the audience of 94.5 KOOL FM in Phoenix, “Yesterday I talked to Neil … said he has searched everywhere using his power as governor … there is no Barack Obama birth certificate.”

In listening to these earlier clips, Boyles and I agreed that Evans appeared to be reading from a script and ad-libbing around it as he read. I suspect that he repeated the Abercrombie claim on all 34 stations.

Birth Certificate Reads Barry Soetoro?!

Birth Certificate Reads Barry Soetoro?!

Here’s an interesting Ground Report from Hawaii that contains an ingenious theory about Hawaiian Governor Neil Abercrombie’s bizarre backtrack on releasing Obama’s birth certificate.

Remember, Abercrombie promised that once he was elected Governor he would prove Obama’s birth certificate existed because he would march down to the Hall of Records and demand its production from the archives…and he would then hold it aloft in the gentle Hawaiian breeze, high above his balding pate, for all the world to see, thereby producing the document Obama has spent millions to keep hidden.

Well, after he was elected, Abercrombie strangely acknowledged no original birth certificate could be found for Obama in Hawaii, but that there were “handwritten notes” that he was born on the island of Oahu in 1961. Abercrombie did not claim he saw the actual birth certificate.

Is the reason Obama refuses to release his Birth Certificate because it's too embarrassing for him?

But, now he’s claiming it’s illegal to produce the birth certificate even if he did find it, because Obama refuses to let the public see this document.

None of this makes any sense until you read the Ground Report below, and get a new take on what’s going on in Hawaii regarding the single greatest current mystery of the 21st Century (“Why Won’t Obama Just Release His Birth Certificate?”…which is also a question the lamestream national media refuses to ask):

Dear HillBuzz,

Regarding the whole Obama birth certificate controversy, I believe Hawaii has a big problem.

Recently, when asked about the subject, newly-minted Speaker of the House John Boehner replied “The State of Hawaii says he was born there and that’s good enough for me.” His reply was brilliant.
It reminded everyone that it’s not the Speaker’s job to sort out the mess (it should have been addressed by the Dems, the election officials, and the media during the campaign), but it also, clearly, put the onus on the State of Hawaii. Around the same time Neil Abercrombie, the new governor of Hawaii, waded into the mess wanting to clear everything up for the president. Instead, he has only added to the confusion by admitting there doesn’t seem to be a birth certificate only a handwritten notation in the archives. (Which could quite possibly have been generated by Obama’s grandparents as a way to register the birth if Obama was born somewhere else.)
Personally, I believe the governor is an intelligent well-intentioned man who acted without thinking it through. Rush Limbaugh believes there may be some angle to what the governor did. If there is, then I believe it was a “cover your papakole” move on the part of the governor. He doesn’t want to be the one left holding the blame when, finally, the American public says “Enough! Just show the damn birth certificate already!”.
He can honestly claim the deception and obstruction happened before he took office and when he tried to find the truth he was told he didn’t have legal access to the birth records. So he’s off the hook, but the incumbent state officials may not get off so easily. Lastly, there is information on several blogs about a court case that may have been filed in New York State Court called Strunk v. Paterson. I’ve heard that a state judge recently ruled — based on evidence — that Obama is NOT a natural born citizen. The court documents go into all of the birth certificate topics, including the Indonesian adoption.
The fact that Obama was adopted by Indonesian Lolo Soetoro in the 1970s, and his name was legally changed to Barry Soetoro at that time, is most likely the reason he is spending millions of dollars to hide his birth certificate. He never filed the papers to change his name back to “Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.”, so any birth certificate produced by the state of Hawaii would list him as “Barry Soetoro”.
It’s easy to see why he never wants this to come to light. Aside from the legal ramifications of this, how would the American people feel about Obama lying to them about his NAME all this time? And if he lied about something as simple as that, what else has he lied about? It would open a whole host of new questions for most people about this man of deliberate mystery.
Just wondered if you knew anything about any of this. I find the court documents hard to read and I have no way of checking their authenticity. People need to stop claiming Obama was not born in Hawaii and start focusing on that adoption name change. That’s probably what Neil Abercrombie ultimately encountered that’s made him backtrack on all this.

Think about it: when the adoption went through, the law required Obama’s birth certificate to be changed to reflect his new name, which became, and remains, Barry Soetoro. So if Abercrombie went looking for anything in the Hall of Records with “Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.” on it, he wouldn’t find anything besides those scribbled, handwritten notations in the archives (since those would not have been changed with the adoption, as who would have thought to do that?). The actual birth certificate says “Barry Soetoro” on it.

That’s why Abercrombie couldn’t locate it.

And why Obama won’t release it.

Mystery solved.

Follow the Arab World Protests Online

Protestors in Egypt/Mahmoud El-Nahas@M_Na7as
Protestors in Egypt/Mahmoud El-Nahas@M_Na7as

It started in Tunisia, where weeks of protests forced dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to step down on Jan. 14. Now Egypt, the historic hub of the Arab world, is in its third day of protests to end the 30-year regime of Hosni Mubarak; and Yemen is aping the Tunisians, too. Unlike prior eras of Mideast unrest, it's all happening online. Here's how to follow what could be history in the making.

Contents

[hide]

Twitter Hashtags

The most important one in Egypt is #Jan25, the date that the protests begun. Jared Cohen, the former State Department tech guru, took #Jan25 to explain the organizing strategy of Egyptians he encountered in Cairo. "facebook used to set the date, twitter used to share logistics, youtube to show the world, all to connect people," he tweeted.

#Sidibouzid was what the Tunisian protesters used, and it's still active -- not just to alert people to the latest in the Tunisian transition, but to connect them to the Egyptian and Yemeni uprisings as well. So far, it doesn't look like a hashtag has emerged for the Yemen protests, but people are using #Yemen in combination with #Sidibouzid and #Jan25 to show that all these demonstrations have a singular purpose: freedom in the Arab world.

For more up-to-the-picosecond news, be sure to follow @SultanAlQassemi and @EgyptUpdates, too.

Viral Video

One of the most iconic videos taken in Egypt and frequently uploaded is Water Cannon Man: a protester who steps in front of a military truck that's dousing his comrades with a high-pressure hose to block its access, Tiananmen Square-style. Algeria hasn't yet faced the same widespread demonstrations, but earlier this month, video started appearing of youth setting barricades alight and throwing rocks at cops. And activists have started uploading how-to tips for getting around government shutdowns of social media and websites. There don't seem to be many from Yemen so far, but Al Jazeera has this much-uploaded clip today from the capital, Sanaa.

Al Jazeera

Speaking of the Arab World's largest satellite-news channel, it took its lumps earlier this week for being slow to cover the Egypt demos. But its English-language broadcast and website have gotten back on the ball with the latest news, images and analysis of the region-wide shakeup.

Aggregation and blogging

If you don't read Arabic but still want to know What It All Means, Issandr El Amrani at the Arabist has everything from ponderous, history-informed essays to compelling Flickr sets. The Moor Next Door goes super in-depth; if you like political science, you'll benefit from this blog. If you want the latest from around the Mideast web compiled in a one-RSS-feed format, top aggregators include the New York Times Lede blog and Andrew Sullivan at the Atlantic. Want more analysis after you page through the hashtags? Stop by the Mideast Channel at Foreign Policy.

Facebook

Facebook has also shown to be an accessible platform for posting and consuming instant text, photo, and video information about riot-related events moments after they occur. The facebook page We are all Khaled Said was created after 28-year-old Said was tortured to death by 2 Egyptian policemen in the street. With 22,847 members, the page has transformed into a depository for first-hand footage as well as a mobilization tool for further protests.

Muslim Population to Double in U.S. by 2030, Report Projects

By Michelle A. Vu|Christian Post Reporter

The Muslim population in the United States is projected to more than double by 2030, according to a new Pew Forum report.

muslim
(Photo: AP/Evan Vucci)
Muslims gather to pray on the East Front of the Capitol in Washington, Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in Washington, D.C.

There are about 2.6 million Muslim adults and children in the United States (0.8 percent of the U.S. population) in 2010. That figure is expected to rise to 6.2 million (1.7 percent) in 2030, predicted the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life report released Thursday.

Most of the growth will be due to immigration and higher birth rates among Muslims. Christians are, however, expected to still make up by far the majority of the population. But by 2030, Muslims are predicted to be as numerous as Jews or Episcopalians are in the United States today.

“The Muslim population will double in the U.S., but the report cannot indicate what portion of the spectrum of Islam will be practiced by American Muslims,” pointed out Pastor Joel C. Hunter of Northland, A Church Distributed in Central Florida, to The Christian Post.

“Muslims, like Christians, are not a uniform block of believers. The bridges built or burned between Christianity, Islam, and other religions are likely to profoundly affect its expression in this nation and around the world.”

Hunter was a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and served on the Inter-Religious Cooperation taskforce. He is also on the board of the National Association of Evangelicals.

“The Future of the Global Muslim Population” report also predicts that the Muslim population worldwide will increase by 35 percent, or from 1.6 billion in 2010 to 2.2 billion by 2030.

This means that the worldwide Muslim population would be growing about twice the rate of the non-Muslim population. Based on this prediction, Muslims would make up slightly more than a quarter (26.4 percent) of the world’s total projected population of 8.3 billion in 2030. In 2010, Muslims make up 23.4 percent of the world’s population of 6.9 billion.

Notably, the report predicts that Pakistan will surpass Indonesia as the country that is home to the largest Muslim population by 2030. Most of the world’s Muslims (about 60 percent) will still be located in the Asia-Pacific region, while about 20 percent will live in the Middle East and North Africa, which are similar proportions to today.

Although the population of Muslims will grow in Europe and the Americas, they are predicted to remain small minorities in the two regions. The United States is projected to have a larger Muslim population by 2030 than any European countries with the exception of Russia and France, although other European countries may have higher percentages of Muslims. Russia is projected to have the largest Muslim population in 2030 with 18.6 million of the religion's followers.

Overall, Muslims are expected to make up about eight percent of Europe’s total population by 2030, up from six percent in 2010. In the United Kingdom, Muslims are projected to comprise 8.2 percent of the population in 2030, up from 4.5 percent today. And in Austria, 9.3 percent of the population is projected to be Muslims, a rise from 5.7 percent in 2010; in France, 10.3 percent from 7.5 percent, and in Belgium 10.2 percent from 6 percent.

Interestingly, nearly a quarter (23.2 percent) of Israel’s population is expected to be Muslims by 2030, up from 17.7 percent in 2010 and 14.1 percent in 1990. During the past two decades, the Muslim population in Israel has more than doubled, increasing from 0.6 million in 1990 to 1.3 million in 2010.

“[This] report will give fodder to the alarmists and will be underplayed by those who just think sociological patterns are interesting,” commented Pastor Joel C. Hunter. “The call for Christians to evangelize the world remains the same no matter what other religious populations are doing, but this development will likely stimulate attention to our growth or lack thereof.”

The Florida megachurch pastor predicted that with the growing effort to expunge religion from society, evangelicals and the growing Muslim population will find themselves partnering on many moral issues in the public square.

The comprehensive 209-page report contains details of different factors that are predicted to contribute to the changes expected in the Muslim population around the world.

Obama wants to impose new universal internet ID

Amplified from HERE
"The American Dream"
The Obama administration is developing a "universal Internet ID" program that would watch, track, monitor and potentially control your activity on the Internet. These "trusted identities" are being touted as a way to increase safety and security on the Internet and as a way to eliminate the need for dozens of different usernames and passwords. But is a universal Internet ID that is issued and controlled by the U.S. government really a good idea?  Right now, Obama administration officials are trying to make it seem as non-threatening as possible. They are insisting that it will not be mandatory. They are insisting that it would be impossible for hackers to steal the universal Internet identities. They are insisting that none of our personal information will be gathered or used by federal agencies. But in light of how regularly the government has abused our liberties and freedoms in recent years in the name of "security", should we really believe what they are saying about this new universal Internet ID?
Perhaps to assuage concerns about "Big Brother", the Obama administration is proposing that the U.S. Commerce Department be the one to oversee these new universal Internet identities.
But how long do you think it would take for the Department of Homeland Security (along with several dozen other government agencies) to get involved in "administering" these "trusted identities"?
The potential for government abuse of such a system is absolutely staggering. As we have seen so many times over the past few years, when you give government bureaucrats an inch, often they end up taking several miles.
The video posted below is an excerpt from a CBS News report about these proposed universal Internet identities....
So what are some of the other potential problems of such a system?
Well, by creating a "master key" to the Internet for each and every individual, if it is lost or stolen you could literally lose everything you have worked so hard for in a single day. Imagine what could happen if a very evil hacker gained instant access to your bank account, your credit cards, your Paypal account, your email, your Facebook account, your Twitter account, your Ebay account, your Amazon account, your blogs, your websites and everything else of importance on the Internet that belongs to you.
Just imagine the damage that could be done.
In addition, it would only be a matter of time before this universal Internet ID becomes "a de facto national ID".
In fact, it is not hard to imagine that "in the name of security" Americans would soon be required to link the universal Internet ID to biometric information or even link it to a microchip implant of some sort.
Of course this new program is going to "start out as voluntary", but how many times before has the government introduced "voluntary" programs that later became mandatory?
Once this universal Internet ID is implemented, it is only going to be a matter of time until many different federal agencies and a significant percentage of large corporations begin demanding that people start using it. Eventually it would become extremely difficult to function on the Internet without one. Once that point arrives, it would only be a very small step to make it mandatory for everyone.
Of course right now the Obama administration insists that it is "doing us a favor" by creating a system that would enable us to be able to get rid of the dozens of usernames and passwords that we all use now.
But what all of this really sounds like is the kind of Internet controls that are being imposed in places like China.
The truth is that a universal Internet ID would give the U.S. government more power to license, monitor and police the Internet than they have ever had before.
In fact, some talking heads on the major news networks are already touting this new identification system as a way to "tone down" the "vicious" rhetoric on the Internet.
Of course what that really means is that they want to shut up a lot of the dissenting voices out there because they are not "politically correct" and they don't agree with the version of the "truth" that the establishment media is constantly pushing.
Hopefully the American people will realize that a universal Internet ID controlled by the government would be another gigantic step in the direction of becoming a Big Brother police state. Unfortunately, the American people have not been doing a great job of standing up for liberty and freedom at this point. There was an initial uproar when the new "naked body scanners" were installed at U.S. airports and when airport officials started feeling up our private areas as part of the new "enhanced pat-downs", but most Americans seem to have accepted these "new security procedures" at this point.
So now the Obama administration is ready to push even further. They want to put a chokehold on the last great bastion of free speech in America - the Internet.
Someday if you have to get a license from the U.S. government to read articles like this or to write articles like this, don't say that you weren't warned.

California Residents Hit With Government Ban On Paying By Cash

District officials want to find out who “uncommonly antagonistic” individuals are by tracing requests for public records, while federal government paints cash users as potential terrorists

Steve Watson

Prisonplanet.com

Jan 27, 2011

Residents of Discovery Bay, California will be the first in the country to be officially denied the right to use cash to pay for public services, in a move that echoes the Department of Homeland Security’s drive to depict those who use physical money as potential terrorists.

As reported by the Contra Costa Times recently, from May onwards, residents will no long be allowed to pay water bills or purchase park permits after the Discovery Bay Community Services District board voted to ban cash transactions for all services.

Anyone paying for such public services must do so with a credit/debit card, a check or money order.

The declaration on all US money bills that “This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private” will no longer apply in Discovery Bay when it comes to paying the government.

One former director on the District Board told the Times that he believes the move has come in response to a small amount of anonymous requests for copies of public records, which were then paid for in cash, a perfectly legal right.

Residents of the town have been described as “uncommonly antagonistic toward local government”, and former director David Piepho believes some are attempting to use public records “to be like snipers and take shots.”

He believes that by banning cash payments, the local government will be able to identify who these individuals are or prevent them from requesting further public information.

However, district representatives have denied those claims, instead suggesting that the ban is being put in place because handling cash puts city officials under threat from potential thieves.

The ruling sets a dangerous precedent, not only in that it effectively limits access to public records, but also particularly in light of the fact that the federal government is pushing an agenda to identify those who exclusively use cash to pay for things and do not own credit cards as suspicious and potential terrorists.

As part of the Commercial Facilities Sector Training and Resources, the following PSA video titled DHS Video No Reservations – Extension of “See Something, Say Something” program was recently released by Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The video suggests that “Terrorists and criminals do their best to cover their tracks. This may include paying by cash.” The hotel receptionist acts baffled and dumbfounded when a guest asks to pay in cash and says he does not use credit cards. Like a dutiful tattle tale she alerts her manager, concluding “I guess it’s not a problem, it’s just… WEIRD.” The narrator of the video then confirms “This is suspicious behaviour”.

Of course, what really is “WEIRD” is the fact that we’re expected to believe that US citizens will find it perfectly normal being asked to report on each other for a government that wishes your every purchase to be electronically traceable on the off chance that you might be an enemy of the state.

Bill Would Protect Big Sis’ Citizen Spies From Lawsuits

House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King wants to shield “good citizens who report suspicious activity” from the consequences of their actions

Bill Would Protect Big Sis Citizen Spies From Lawsuits 270111top

Paul Joseph Watson

Prison Planet.com

Thursday, January 27, 2011

New York Republican Peter King has introduced a bill that would protect the army of citizen spies Homeland Security hopes to recruit under Janet Napolitano’s “See Something, Say Something” snoop campaign from lawsuits brought by innocent people wrongly accused of being terrorists or extremists.

“A top US lawmaker unveiled legislation on Wednesday to protect individuals who tip off authorities to potential extremist threats from lawsuits, in the event that they turn out to finger innocents,” reports AFP.

House Homeland Security Chairman King, who is pushing the “See Something, Say Something Act,” wants to shield “good citizens who report suspicious activity” from facing the consequences of misidentifying innocent behavior as extremism or terror.

Of course, this will only encourage untrained people to report any behavior whatsoever, no matter how benign, as potential terrorism, creating an army of enthusiastic but hapless citizen spies.

“King said his bill would extend protections from individuals “who report suspicious activity anywhere,” adds the report, making reference to the DHS’ “See Something, Say Something” campaign, which characterizes paying for things with cash as a suspicious activity.

The program was launched with the aid of Orwellian telescreens at Wal-Mart checkouts that play a message from Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano encouraging Americans to report anything unusual to Wal-Mart managers. The program was subsequently expanded to include 9,000 federal buildings, as well as sports stadiums, businesses and communities in general.

DHS will no longer be limited to the airport in the form of the TSA, but will become a ubiquitous entity policing everyone through a network of citizen spies and infrastructure security technology. The agency will also assume the mantle of regulating Americans’ every behavior and activity. DHS signs are already in place all over the country telling people where they can and can’t park their cars.

As we have documented, every historical example of such informant programs illustrates that they never lead to a more secure society, but instead breed suspicion, distrust, fear and resentment amongst the population. The only “benefit” that such programs have ever achieved is allowing the state to more easily identify and persecute political dissidents, while discouraging the wider population from engaging in any criticism against the government.

Since its official launch, the See Something, Say Something campaign has successfully wasted thousands of dollars of taxpayer money after people reported half-empty flasks of coffee and bags of clothes as deadly threats that required a response from bomb squads.

Of course, as we have documented, the federal government is fully aware of the fact that Americans are just as likely to be killed by lightning strikes, peanut allergies or accident-causing deer than they are by terrorists.

See Something, Say Something has little to do with combating terrorism, and everything to do with implanting the notion that Americans are constantly under surveillance from each other and may be reported to the authorities for any minor example of aberrant behavior no matter how benign.

In addition, since the Department of Homeland Security has characterized political activism which targets the state as extremist and terrorist activity, Americans are being trained that exercising their constitutional rights could get them in hot water with the law should their behavior be deemed suspicious by ignorant wannabe citizen spies who see themselves as terrorist hunters.

In an ironic twist, Rep. King, who is now trying to protect snoops who identify innocent behavior as extremism from lawsuits, was one of the primary co-sponsors of a 2009 House resolution that attempted to get answers as to why Homeland Security equated veterans, gun owners, Ron Paul supporters, and people who fly the U.S. flag, with violent terrorists, following the release of the agency’s infamous MIAC report.

New Testament News: Egyptian President's Son, Family Flee to Britain During Country's Unrest

In die illa erit altare Domino in medio terrae Aegypti, et titulus iuxta terminum eius Domini. (Isaiah 19:19)

FOX News reports the son of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has fled to Britain with his family while Egypt remains in turmoil.

Protesters have vented anger over a host of ills in Egyptian society.

Nearly half of all Egyptians live under or just above the poverty line, set by the World Bank at $2 a day.

The widespread poverty, high unemployment and rising food prices pose a threat to Mubarak's regime at a time when tensions between Muslims and Christians are adding to the nation's woes.

According to Israel News both the wife of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and their son Gamal, considered the successor to his father as President, have fled to London with 97 suitcases after unprecedented massive protests in Egypt.

But Egyptian officials denied the claim.

In Egypt, calm is said to have returned to the streets.

Twitter is down in Egypt at the moment.

The 82-year-old President Mubarak has not been seen in public or heard from since the protests began Tuesday with tens of thousands marching in Cairo and a string of other cities.

Let us pray the people of Egypt will succeed in its wish to transform Egypt into a modern and prosperous democracy.

"Videte itaque, fratres, quomodo caute ambuletis, non quasi insipientes sed ut sapientes", Ephesians 5:15.
