Ted Wilson giving a message at the 2010 General Conference session
An Open Letter to General Conference Seventh-day Adventist President Ted Wilson About Recent Jailing of Adventist’s
Dear Ted Wilson,
I have deep concerns for you brother, but not only for you, but for
the entire Seventh-day Adventist denomination. I weep and mourn for our
people because they don’t understand the straight and narrow path, and
many of us have come to believe they are greatly “increased with goods
and in need of nothing”. (Revelation 3:17)
I pray that you take the time to truly read the following carefully.
It has been reported that people have been recently jailed because they
have refused to stop citing themselves as Seventh-day Adventists.
Neil Wilson on Abortion
I explain why I quote your father below. I understand that your
father recently passed away. It is my sincere hope that some spoke to
him regarding certain positions of his faith. I’m not sure if you are
aware, but in 1970 the following statement is cited and I pray your
father changed his position on this issue as well as a couple other
issues which I will talk about below.
On March 17, 1970, Neal C. Wilson, president of the North American
Division of Seventh-day Adventists, made a statement on abortion that
was carried by the Religious News Service. He predicted that when the
denomination met at Atlantic City in June it would “steer a
middle-of-the-road course.”
And he rationalized this statement by saying the world was over populated:
“Though we walk the fence, Adventists lean toward abortion rather than against it.
Because we realize we are confronted by big problems of hunger and
overpopulation, we do not oppose family planning and appropriate
endeavors to control population.”
I tend to disagree rather strongly with the above views on abortion
and depopulation. Protecting life, liberty, and property are the basic
tenet’s of freedom. In the Great Controversy it is written:
“The Declaration of Independence sets forth the great truth that “all
men are created equal,” and endowed with the inalienable right to
“life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” And the Constitution
guarantees to the people the right of self-government, providing that
representatives elected by the popular vote shall enact and administer
the laws. Freedom of religious faith was also granted, every man being
permitted to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience.
Republicanism and Protestantism became the fundamental principles of the
nation. These principles are the secret of its power and prosperity.
The oppressed and down-trodden throughout Christendom have turned to
this land with interest and hope. Millions have sought its shores, and
the United States has risen to a place among the most powerful nations
of the earth.” {Ellen White Great Controversy 1888 page 441}
Rights are given by God, not the government according to the founders
of America, including the right to life. Unfortunately many have come
to treat the living with very little respect. Many have come to view
things a little differently today. The United States government and the
constitution were designed for one thing and that was to protect our
liberty and freedom. I don’t see that freedom lasting much longer,
however many will maintain some sense of freedom by compromise until
they realize it’s too late.
Abortions in Adventist Hospitals
This was a shock to me when I found out only last year. But the way I found out was almost horrifying.
Nik Samoljuk wrote you some letters recently from my understanding
and publicly confronted you on the issue of abortion according to his
letters and perhaps you are a little informed about what is happening in
the hospitals, since I’ve heard testimony from girls who have attended
certain hospitals that they still are offering abortions to young girls
and the like.
Nik talked about his meeting with you and said this about you “He
publicly responded that the church did not condone said type of
abortions and that elective abortion in Adventists hospitals are almost
down to zero.”
http://clubadventist.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/445740/Is_Ted_Wilson_Misinformed_Abou.html
It is good to hear that you do not condone certain types of abortion,
however that said. Recently there were some pro-life Adventists who
were members of the conference who were protesting against abortions in
the hospital. Whether or not you approve of them or not is important.
But I think with the lack of awareness on the issue as noted above by
your fathers quote about over population, and saying that “Adventists
lean toward abortion” I think we can conclude that there are definitely
some misinformed people on this issue who are professing the name
Seventh-day Adventist. Maybe even people in high positions in the
Conference.
Some will come out against me no doubt for writing this, but yet not
say a thing regarding the positions your father took on this issue or
the issue of over population as well as a couple other issues I will
document below. But this leads me to another issue.
Adventist’s 4 Life Facebook Group and the Trademark
There were some protestors last year who were Seventh-day
Adventist’s. A small group that called themselves “Adventist’s 4
Life”. They had a facebook page and an article was
written in the Washington times
documenting that this was somewhat hypocritical for Seventh-day
Adventists to be pro-life when they have been offering abortions in
their hospitals.
But this small group of protesting Adventist’s were standing up
against this issue. And following the article being published in the
Washington Times the General Conference was informed about this small
group protesting as well as their facebook page. T
he conference then went to facebook and complained saying “these people calling themselves Adventist were in violation of the
trademark of the name Seventh-day Adventist.” Their page was removed without question sadly.
Out of 100’s of facebook groups, this is the one that was picked.
One that was standing up for the life of innocent children? I also know
another person who had an Adventist dress reform group removed after
she posted pages and pages of information on that topic up. I’m
assuming that the conference doesn’t want anyone sharing on that issue
as well.
Here’s what the reply from the Conference was for having the Adventist 4 Life group removed Ted:
“We are working hard to try to protect the name and organization
associated with the name,” he said. “Both ‘Adventist’ and ‘SDA’ are
trademarked and registered names. We want to make sure the use of the
name is connected with our organization.”……

"Unite in a Common Cause" Obama Letter read by Ted Wilson at the General Conference
Protecting the Name?
Protect the name? So it’s Okay to put the name on hospitals that are
killing innocent children who can’t speak up for themselves? But we
better stop those Adventists by using our
trademark to stop those
who might be trying to instill some morals into society, such as “thou
shall not kill”. It seems the name need’s to be protected from the
people professing to protect it if anything. I trust God will work that
out.
And then we call ourselves the “commandment keeping people of God”?
or “God’s commandment keeping church”? Sorry if I come off a little
strong, but I guess it seems to me that we are acting quite
hypocritical, and the world can even see it.
I really believed that many of the words in the message you presented
at the recent General Conference were encouraging, pointing us back to
the foundation of our faith, and the pillars, the sanctuary, taking the
word of God literally. However I was somewhat disappointed to hear you
read Obama’s letter in the pulpit about “uniting in a common cause”.
And yes, those are the words you quoted.
Uniting in a Common Cause –Church and State
What is the “common cause” that the church and state are to unite
in? I always thought that the church and state were to be separated?
It may be possible maybe you read that letter from Obama because you
might not be informed about some of our historic pillars.
Ellen White once wrote that: “A union of church and state means a
recognition of a spurious sabbath, and a failure to respect the
conscientious observance of the Sabbath of the fourth commandment.”
[Manuscript Releases Volume Twelve, page 218]
So to unite with the state would be a violation of God’s commandments
according to Ellen White.
She goes on further to say that:
“…the only position the State can take, and have the approval of God,
is to guard the rights of every individual, permitting no oppression to
come upon any one because of religious belief.” (Ellen White ST
February 27, 1912)
And that should be our common cause. Respecting liberty and freedom,
and allowing others to worship according to the dictates of our
conscience. Here again I bring your father back into this since it is
written that the traits of parents are passed down from generation to
generation.(See Exodus 20:5).
I’ve had much to unlearn myself in life which I was taught by my
parents, and I’ve had to turn from those ways. This is just so serious
right now however, that it must be publicly stated. So many are failing
to see the evil that the trademark is.
Neil Wilson on Church and State “NOT IN SCRIPTURE”

"this
church/state business...not found in scripture" Former General
Conference President Ted Wilson regarding trademarking the name
"Seventh-day Adventist"
Regarding the trademarking of the name Seventh-day Adventist, your father said this:
“We’ve got to PROTECT that name ["Seventh-day Adventist"], because we are giving a false impression to the world…
And this church/state business; be a little careful how you use that, because that is not in scripture: separation of Church and State. That is a particular North American philosophy. It exists no where else in the world.”
Neal C. Wilson[Former Seventh Day Adventist General Conference
President regarding the trademark], P.U.C. Sanctuary, June 18, 1988.
Your father didn’t seem to have a problem with uniting with the
state. One of the first people they brought to court were a group of
homosexual Adventists. I personally don’t believe in
homosexual Seventh-day Adventists,
but I won’t take them to court for the name. God protects me, not the
state. They can call themselves Adventist or Christian if they want.
Anyone with just a small amount of biblical knowledge will see the
truth.
And if anything, since they lost in court and the homosexual group
“Kinship Seventh-day Adventist’s” are still using the name, we can
pretty much assume that God was not with you when you went to court.
Unless God doesn’t mind losing in court to homosexuals. Taking them to
court is not faith in God, it’s unbelief, trust in the world.
They lost in court to the kinship group. So we should have quickly
picked up on the idea that God was not into his bride(church) going to
the kings of the earth(state) for help if we didn’t already know this.
The bible calls a church that act’s like this “Babylon” in Revelation
17-18.
Now, considering your dad’s position on these issues and that you
have never repudiated any of these things publicly. I see that this is
your opportunity to do so.
Recently the conference pushed and pushed to take pastor Chick McGill
and Lucan Chartier to jail because they repainted the name “Creation
Seventh-day Adventist” on their gas station. They have about 7 members
and they have hardly made a peep since their websites were taken down
for trademark infringement, and here is the General Conference going for
more. Taking their websites down wasn’t enough. It looks to me that
they smell blood and they aren’t satisfied until they get it.
Blood is like seed in the ground. When one is martyred, more sprout
up as I’m sure you will see from the blowback that comes from doing
something so foolish as putting people in jail because they won’t give
up a name. Regarding Church and State it is written that the government
has only one duty.
“To protect liberty of conscience is the duty of the state, and this is
the limit of its authority in
matters of religion. Every secular government that attempts to
regulate or enforce religious observances by civil authority is
sacrificing the very principle for which the evangelical Christians [of
Sixteenth Century Germany] so nobly struggled. (Ellen White Great
Controversy page 201)
The bible gives the church no right to legislate laws. We are not to
add laws that would violate freedoms. We are not to apply to the State
for help in order to stop others from teaching with our name.
Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish
ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Brother Ted, how would you like it if I went to court right now and
applied for a trademark of the name “Christian”? And used that
trademark to put people in jail who refused to stop calling themselves
by that name.
Would I really be the “Christian”? It seems that the name has been
misrepresented. It seems it’s ok to put the name on baby killing
hospitals, but not ok for people who might protest or speak out against
hypocrisy and killing babies to use it.
You might say “Well they call us Babylon, and they are giving us a
bad name”. I guess that depends on if you think it’s ok to kill babies,
depopulate, take others to court and put others in jail because of
their beliefs which are being done on their own property.
When a woman acts like a whore, and does what a whore does, it’s quite possible that she is likely a whore. That word is a little strong, but that’s the word the
bible uses to describe churches that would go to the State for
help.(Revelation 17:2,5, 18:3-4).

I can’t help but “come out”(Revelation18:4) when I see a church like
that. I know that I shouldn’t “partake of her sins”(Revelation 18:4).
Ellen White wrote that at the end of time there would be “nominal
Adventists”, “professed Adventists”, basically Adventists “who say they
are and are not”(Revelation 3:9).
There was something that she said these “professed Adventists” would do.
Crucifying Christ Afresh(Professed Adventists”
According to Ellen she said that “professed Adventists” would “crucify
Christ afresh”. She talks about the time just before the close of
probation when the saints are about to go through the time of trouble.
Here’s what she said about some “professed Adventists”:

Professed Adventists Crucify Christ Afresh
“You think,
that those who worship before the saint’s feet, (Rev 3:9), will at last be saved. Here I must differ with you; for God shewed me that
this class were professed Adventists, who had fallen away, and “
crucified to themselves the Son of God afresh”(EGW A Word to the Little Flock, page 12)
There is something else about these “professed Adventists” that
“crucified” Christ “afresh”. You know when Jesus was crucified, Ellen
said something about the professed Jewish church of that time.
Corporate Accountability – Entire Denomi(NATION) Guilty
“They cried out for the crucifixion of Christ and,
as representatives of the Jewish nation, placed
themselves under the Roman jurisdiction, which they despised, by
saying, “We have no king but Caesar.” When they said this, they
unchurched themselves.” [Manuscript Releases Volume Twelve, page 388,
paragraph 1]
They did this on behalf of their entire denomination. “Unchurched
themselves”. What’s striking is that most don’t realize that they are
corporately accountable for the sins of their leaders just as the people
were guilty here of crucifying Christ(Acts 2:36-38), and are not to be
partakers with them. They are to “Come out”.
Revelation 18:3-4 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,
and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her,
and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of
her delicacies. (4) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,
Come out of her, my people, that
ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues.
This woman is guilty of committing fornication with the kings of the
earth. What happened? Did a Church say “We have no King but Caesar”?
There’s something even more striking here. Notice what we are told
would “crucify Christ afresh”. This is considered going to the Kings
of the earth, taking matters to worldly courts and judges:

Church and State - A woman riding a beast
“The world and unconverted church members are in sympathy. Some when God reproves them for wanting their own way,
make the world their confidence, and bring
church matters before the world for decision. Then there is collision and strife, and
Christ is crucified afresh, and put to open shame. Those church members who appeal to the courts of the world show that
they have chosen the world as their judge, and
their names are registered in heaven as one with unbelievers.
How eagerly the world seizes the statements of those who betray sacred
trusts!” [Selected Messages Book 3, page 302, paragraph 3]
This is something I have to tell you about Mr. Wilson. There are far
more quotes on this issue, but I’m sure the principle is clear. It
doesn’t matter if these people are crazy. It doesn’t matter what
strange belief they hold. If they are not physically hurting your
life, liberty or property, you have no right to use law against them and
they have a right to free speech and freedom of religion. You must heed
before receiving of her plagues, even if you didn’t know about it. It
was done on your behalf.
Trademarked “On Behalf of the Entire Denomination”
Note the following from Ministry Magazine from the article “General Conference trademark policy”
“Questions have been asked regarding efforts by the General
Conference to protect the name of our church through the use of the
trademark laws . . .
Q:Is it true that the General Conference has federally registered trademarks for the name ‘Seventh-day Adventist’…?
A:Yes.
The General Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists, on behalf of the ENTIRE DENOMINATION, has registered under the United States trademark laws the name ‘Seventh-day Adventist’ and a variety of the church’s programs and services…”
Ministry Magazine, December, 1988
On behalf of the entire denomination, they have united with the
second beast to form a monster that will be used to put people who
refuse to give up a name in jail. They’ve used it to stop protestor’s
who would stand up for little ones. Here is the counsel from the SOP.
“Our institutions have taken a name which sets forth the character of
our faith, and of this name we are NEVER to be ashamed. I have been
shown that this name means much, and in adopting it we have followed the
light given us from heaven…This distinctive banner is to be borne
through the world to the CLOSE OF PROBATION.” (Ellen White MS 15, 1896)

True Jew? Click the picture for the truth about what a Jew is, what an Adventist is? Who Israel is? And what a Christian is?
I’m not ashamed of the name Seventh-day Adventist. I can NEVER be.
Even though these institutions might drag it through the mud, it’s no
different than me giving up the name “Christian”. I would not give it
up, even if you trademarked it. Don’t expect anyone who is commanded to
take a name to the “close of probation” by one they believe to be
speaking word’s from God to give up the name.
You might use all the tools and devices in this world you can find,
but it will not happen. So it’s best to cease and desist. That’s my
advice to you. I recently wrote an article on the issue of “Who or What
is a Seventh-day Advnetist”. If you care to read it, the link is here:
http://www.thethirdangelsmessage.com/what-or-who-is-an-adventist
Those who are using the law against others are taking his name in
vain. If God has convicted someone to use a name, we don’t have the
right to trademark it and say “It’s the law of the land”. We are not to
be legislators, but to stand up and protect against legislation that
restricts liberty.
Going to the kings of the earth is similar to the Catholic church
rounding up people who would call themselves “Christians” in the dark
ages. It is a restriction of the religious liberty under which America
was founded on. It’s also similar to the Jews bringing Peter and John
before the courts and councils in their day telling them they have to
stop preaching in that name:
Acts 5:27-29 And when they had brought them, they set them before
the council: and the high priest asked them, (28) Saying, Did not we
straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold,
ye have filledJerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this
man’s blood upon us. (29) Then Peter and the other apostles answered
and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

"Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name?"(Acts 5:28)
The advice by Gamiliel was to “refrain from these men, and let them
alone”. I have published this letter publicly to inform our brethren of
the current happenings and to warn them immediately to repent.
“I saw that
God has honest children among the
nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and
before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and
people will be called out from these churches and
will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud
cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these
religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that
God is with them
. He hopes to deceive the honest and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and
all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant.” (Ellen White Early Writings 261).
Some have said this quote referred to her time shortly after 1844
when there was Sunday keeping Adventists. However the context is
talking about the time just “before the plagues” and “before the loud
cry of the third angel is given”. It seems it’s a quote that applies to
our time here and now. And “Satan hopes to deceive some into thinking
God is still working for the churches”. I know “God has a Church”, but
it’s not the denomination.
“God has a church. It is not
the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither
is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matt. 18:20).
Where Christ is even among the humble few, this
is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church” (
The Upward Look, p. 315).
I think I’ve documented who the “nominal Adventist’s” are. Brother, I
hear an angel and he is crying right now with a loud voice.(See
Revelation 18:2-4). The voice is starting to swell.
It is only by beholding Jesus constantly in this time that we will
reflect his character to the world. We cannot take our eyes off him, but
we have to look harder, examine closer and see, who was this man that
he turned down the power to legislate offered him by devil and run a
kingdom by force. He refused to unite the church with the State and he
said that John, James and Peter who all wanted to stop others by force,
and establish the church by force that they “know not what manner of
Spirit” they were of.
Laws are being made to restrict our liberty. Is this your stance?
“More and more governments are putting rules and laws in place to
protect trademarks. As the world shrinks and corporations expand around
the world”( Just a Name or a Registered Trademark, Adventist Review June
10,
2010 GC General Counsel Karnik Doukmetzian)
And according to that quote from our own publications it would seem
to me by this article that the General Conference Church is seeking more
power from the state and is going to use it to put more people in jail
as “the power” becomes accessible and as our constitution and the first
amendment which the trademark is in violation of erodes. Are you going
to continue to use the power given from the second beast?
Read Revelation 13, and watch for the word “power” and where it comes from, and who desires it. And who will use it.
May Father bless you with his amazing grace and peace,
David Barron

Acts 2:36-38 Therefore
let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same
Jesus, whom ye have crucified,
both Lord and Christ. (37) Now when they heard this, they were
pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the
apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? (38) Then Peter said
unto them,
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift
of the Holy Ghost.
