NPLA: Tell Boehner and McConnell: "Don't Sellout Pro-Life"
I'm writing you to alert you to the abortion lobby's most recent scheme to snatch more of your and my taxpayer dollars.
And I'm hoping you'll act immediately to help me stop them.

As you likely know, Congress continues major negotiations over the budget, taxes and spending to avoid the impending automatic "sequestration" programmed to occur at the end of this month.
Facing this looming deadline, this is our chance for leverage.
That is why it is urgent that you urge Senate Minority Leader McConnell and Speaker Boehner not to give in to any deal on the sequester that does not include a ban on tax funding of abortion.
Yet with the heavy-handed demands coming from President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the national media and the abortion lobby, there's a lot of pressure on politicians to cave in on principles and their promises to the American people just to reach an agreement before the deadline.
The abortion lobby with the Obama administration's help, hope to use this self-created "crisis" as an opportunity to shove even more taxpayer funding of abortion down the throats of American taxpayers.
Already, Obama has funneled billions of your and my taxpayer dollars directly to the abortion lobby.
In fact ObamaCare will pour more than $7 billion dollars directly to Planned Parenthood's coffers under the guise of "community health centers."
That's why I hope you'll authorize your Electronic Message to Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Polls overwhelmingly show that the American people are opposed to taxpayer funding of abortion.
Yet the budget is rife with subsidies, grants and mandates forcing taxpayers to pay for the slaughter of the unborn.

It’s Official, the Fourth Amendment is Dead

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court disemboweled the Fourth Amendment.
In a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled that citizens cannot challenge
government wiretapping laws, in particular the unconstitutional Foreign
Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 and, more recently, the FISA
Amendments Act of 2008.
According to Justice Samuel Alito, millions of Americans can no longer expect the government to uphold the Constitution and prevent the NSA from conducting dragnet surveillance.
The government established so-called “sovereign immunity” last August when the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco dismissed Al Haramain Islamic Foundation v. Obama following a December 2010 court case ruling the NSA’s warrantless wiretap program was illegal.
FISA is a near perfect scheme for the government. It allows the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to rubber-stamp surveillance requests of supposed terrorists (the Justice Department claims there are over a million terrorists in America). The feds are not obliged to identify a target and they can conduct surveillance a week before making a FISA Court request. Surveillance can continue in the unlikely event that a request is denied and an appeal is set in motion.
Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, Congress passed the Patriot Act. It allows federal agents to write their own search warrants in violation of the Fourth Amendment and does away with the FISA-issued search warrant requirement, itself blatantly unconstitutional.
“FISA gives the government unchecked authority to snoop on all Americans who communicate with any foreign person, in direct contravention of the Fourth Amendment,” Andrew Napolitano wrote in December. “The right to privacy is a natural human right. Its enshrinement in the Constitution has largely kept America from becoming East Germany.”
Alito’s argument rests on the fact that FISA is a secret court. “Yet respondents have no actual knowledge of the Government’s §1881a targeting practices. Instead, respondents merely speculate and make assumptions about whether their communications with their foreign contacts will be acquired under §1881a,” he wrote.
Alito was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. Justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor dissented the ruling.
Tuesday’s ruling pitches the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure into the dustbin of history. It means we are one step closer to becoming East Germany where the Stasi conducted dragnet surveillance with impunity.
Stasi, however, was old school. The modern high-tech surveillance state is infinitely more effective and will be used to monitor the political attitudes of all Americans in dragnet fashion and ferret out for persecution – and elimination – those who pose a threat to the status quo.

C4L: GOP "leadership" caving in to Barack Obama and Harry Reid on sequestration
The GOP "leadership" has already caved in to President Obama twice this year - first on the so-called "fiscal cliff" and second on the debt ceiling sell-out.
Now it appears they're going for the "hat trick of sell-outs" by caving in to Barack Obama and Harry Reid on sequestration when they meet tomorrow for "negotiations."
And the bad news is, the first Senate vote is about to take place RIGHT NOW.
If you've had enough of the Republican "leadership" in Congress caving in and selling out to Barack Obama and Harry Reid, I hope you'll take action today to do something about it.

As you know, under the so-called "draconian" sequestration plan, spending will increase by $1.6 trillion over the next ten years - instead of by the planned increase of $1.7 trillion.
But according to the Washington establishment, this mere reduction in the rate of growth in spending is too much.
In fact, tomorrow Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker John Boehner, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi will meet with President Obama to discuss ways to roll back the supposedly disastrous cuts under "sequestration."
The very fact that this meeting is occurring is a flip-flop, since just days ago the GOP leadership said they would not negotiate with Barack Obama any longer and were prepared to let the chips fall where they may.
In my 25-plus years working in politics, I've seen this pattern repeated again and again.
GOP leadership gives lip service to supporting spending cuts. . . the big spenders in both parties ramp up the pressure, and the GOP "leaders" claim they will NEVER GIVE IN.
Then, they start "negotiations," and within 24-72 hours of saying they would never surrender, the GOP leadership waves the white flag and caves in to Barack Obama.
The good news is, if enough freedom-loving Americans take action, you and I can stop this disaster from taking place!
So please, call Senator Mitch McConnell - and both of your U.S. Senators - and insist they vote against any so-called "deal" that doesn't include real spending cuts.
Let them know you're not fooled by their crafty language. INSIST they support REAL CUTS RIGHT NOW.
