TODAY'S HEADLINES:

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is an heaviness to his mother. The treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. The Lord will not famish the soul of the righteous: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. A slothful hand maketh poor: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer, is the son of wisdom: but he that sleepeth in harvest, is the son of confusion. Blessings are upon the head of the righteous: but iniquity shall cover the mouth of the wicked. The memorial of the just shall be blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. The wise in heart will receive commandments: but the foolish in talk shall be beaten. He that walketh uprightly, walketh boldly: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be known.(Proverbs 10:1-9, 1599 Geneva Bible)

TODAY'S STORIES YESTERDAY'S STORIES ABOUT VisiontoAmerica.COM
  • VisiontoAmerica.com Vision To America is a division of Christian Worldview Communications, LLC. Founded in 2006 by Gary DeMar and Brandon Vallorani, Vision to America exists to help America return to our Founding Father's vision for a Christian Republic. America was once a light to the world—a place that God blessed with liberty and prosperity. Today, Americans are taught that the Almighty State has all the answers. As a result, our God-given liberties are being traded for a false sense of security. It is our Vision to see Americans once again recognize that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights and that this Creator is the God of the Bible.

Dumb and Dumber: McCain and Graham Attack Rand Paul’s Filibuster
Worried about an Attorney General who defends the idea that the President has the authority to kill an American citizen with a drone — no trial, just “boom”? Uncertain about whether this involves an invasion of your civil rights? Concerned that the President has the unchallenged and unchallengeable power — if you’re dead — to... READ MORE

Rev. Jim Wallis’s Little White Lies for Jesus
Does the end justify the means? Should we fib for Jesus? Are little white lies for the masses OK, if you are pursuing the Social Gospel? Jim Wallis thinks the correct answers are all “yes.” He was approached by producers of the big budget History Channel series, The Bible. He is proud of that show. ... READ MORE

Foxholes, Enemies, and Allies
“Politics makes for strange bedfellows.” This slogan has been around for a long time, probably for about as long as there have been politicians. This observation applies outside of politics. One of the strangest developments over the last 50 years has been a growing social and political alliance of left-wing Jews and left-wing Gentiles on ... READ MORE

Senate Republicans Filibuster an Anti-Gun Lawyer. No Judgeship. Obama Throws a Tantrum.
In 2011, President Obama nominated an anti-gun activist lawyer for a federal judge position. This woman believes that the courts should hold gun manufacturers liable for crimes committed with guns they made. This is judicial activism on a scale rarely seen. It take 60 votes to stop a filibuster. Democrats could muster only 51 votes ... READ MORE

Wall Street Journal Defends Killing Americans With Drones
Senator Rand Paul filibustered yesterday for 13 hours against John “Drone Man” Brennan’s nomination to run the CIA. This outraged the Wall Street Journal. Give Rand Paul credit for theatrical timing. Socialism in Latin America: Dead and Dying
Hugo [OOgowe] has gone. Fidel has retired. Raul says he will retire in a few years. He keeps quiet in the meantime, for which Cubans are happy. Time Warner to Jettison Time, as Print Media Continue Sinking
Time Warner’s board has at last faced up to reality: print media are dying. It’s about time. The CEO... READ MORE

Compliance Is Costly

Those expensive Federal regulations. Just how much does it cost private enterprise to comply with all of the Federal regulations that have been promulgated? According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a nonprofit research group in Washington, D.C., the tab comes to more than half-a-trillion dollars a year. The CEI says the most costly agencies are the Environmental Protection Agency, whose regulations cost businesses $353 billion a year; the Department of Health and Human Services, at $185 billion; and the Federal Communications Commission, at $142 billion a year. Just think how many more jobs could be created — and taxes paid — if some of those regulatory restrictions could be eased. More »
