Ron Paul: Brushfires of Liberty Sweeping the Nation
When I retired from Congress, Ben Bernanke and his cronies at the Federal Reserve thought they'd gotten off "scot-free."
The biggest "thorn in their side" was now gone.
Well, I hate to burst their bubble, but they're wrong.
In fact, my fight to restore the Founding principles of individual liberty, free markets, sound money, and constitutional government is far from over.
In many ways, it's just begun.
The American people are FED UP with the Big Government, big spending status quo in Washington.
As a result, brushfires of liberty are springing up all across the country.
And considering all the achievements you and I have made over the last few years, the future of our movement looks brighter than ever.
Today, I wanted to take a moment to share some of those successes with you.
In the "First in the Nation" state of Iowa, friends of liberty have made tremendous strides in getting elected or reelected to major offices within the state Republican Party.
A former high-ranking officer of the Iowa GOP has gone on record talking about how many people "from the Campaign for Liberty" have taken over prominent positions, and his statement came before their latest election, when one of my supporters was elected as co-chair of the Iowa GOP!
Members of our movement now hold the chair, co-chair, Executive Director, Organization Director, and Finance Chair positions in the Iowa GOP.
In Missouri - the largest caucus state in the nation - grassroots liberty activists mobilized and successfully elected an anti-establishment candidate as Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, beating the hand-picked candidate of Senator Roy Blunt.
In Nevada, liberty-minded Republicans gained control of the majority of the state and municipal party leadership.
In Alaska, my supporters will soon be sworn in to top positions within the Republican Party - including Chairman and Vice Chairman.
And in Maine, Washington State, and many other states and localities across the country, the same holds true, as liberty-minded activists are getting elected to positions of party leadership.
As you can see, our liberty movement has never been so strong.
And Campaign for Liberty is just getting started.

Sandy Hook AR-15 hoax? Still no school surveillance footage released
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger (NaturalNews) Here at Natural News, we have a reputation for asking
intelligent questions about things that don't add up. There are a lot of
mysteries out there, and they deserve to be explored and questioned:
Why is there still mercury in vaccines? Why did the WTC 7 building
implode and fall when no airplane hit it? If the government can create
money from nothing, why are we still paying taxes?And today, I'm adding to that list this commonsense question: Why has no surveillance footage been released from the Sandy Hook shooting, showing Adam Lanza blasting away with an AR-15?
Here's why the non-release of this video footage is so interesting:
Every time a school shooting takes place, one of the very first things that gets released to the media is the school surveillance footage depicting the gun and the shooter. The purpose of this is to associate the pain and anguish of the massacre to the image of a scary-looking rifle.
In mere days after the Columbine shooting in 1998, for example, the media received footage from the massacre and began playing it over and over again, hammering home the images of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold with their guns. The same is true with numerous other school shootings as you'll see below.
But with the Sandy Hook school shooting, no video footage has been released. A reasonable person has to ask the question: WHY?
You see, the release of footage of Adam Lanza murdering children with an AR-15 -- if such a thing even happened -- would strongly support the mainstream media's call for banning so-called "assault rifles." It would also:
• Amp up the emotional impact of the fear mongering being carried out by the media.
• Provide visual support for the gun-grabber's plea to ban all rifles.
• Provide a wealth of images to be used by newspapers and magazines to further demonize the image of rifles.
... and yet, for some reason, we see no surveillance footage from Sandy Hook.
Why is that?
Answer: The AR-15 appears to have been left in his car and never even used in the shooting
The real answer to all this -- and this reveals the "Big Lie" of the mainstream media -- is that the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle was left in Lanza's car.It was never brought into the school in the first place. As a result, it was not used in the shooting.
This was openly admitted in an NBC news report that has since been scrubbed and marginalized. But NaturalNews captured the video and posted it on our own private video network which is immune from censorship:

Pete Williams: Matt, good morning to you. This continues to be a very complex investigation, and there is a lot of contradictory information out there, but there is some new information this morning from a couple of federal officials and state officials. They say now that there were actually four handguns recovered inside the school. Not just two as we were initially told. Four handguns and apparently only handguns that were taken into the school.
We knew that Adam Lanza... also had an assault-style, AR-15 style rifle that he had taken to the school that was in the car he drove there, his mother's car. But we've been told by several officials that he left that in the car.

This simple fact, which was confirmed by "federal officials and state officials" has been completely scrubbed out of the mainstream media, and replaced with the "assault weapon lone gunman" theory that just happens to fit nicely with the citizen disarmament agenda being pushed by anti-American traitors like Dianne Feinstein and Joe Biden.This is why no video footage has been released. Because the real video footage almost certainly shows HANDGUNS used in the massacre, not a rifle. There may even be other elements in the video footage that they don't want the public to see, including the possibility of multiple shooters.
But take a look at the images and video footage we normally see from other shootings:

Zero Day shooting on May 1, 2001In all those shootings (and many more), video footage and still images are quickly released to the media for the purpose of blasting these images into the minds of viewers everywhere. Video is played over and over again in the media with the hopes that people will be driven into a state of total irrational fear. It's also, of course, a good way to cause copycat massacres which result in even more news ratings.
And yet with Sandy Hook, we see no video footage at all. Why is that?
Three possible explanations
Explanation #1) They are busy doctoring the video footage to insert an AR-15 into the video frame by frame. The technology to do this has existed for many years as we all saw with the movie Forrest Gump, where actor Tom Hanks was shown shaking the hand of JFK. You can see that at the :48 mark of this YouTube video.Explanation #2) No video footage was ever taken by the school. This is absurd, as it's already on the record that the Sandy Hook school had installed a video security system to monitor anyone entering or leaving the school. In fact, it's even more interesting than that: this school security policy letter was sent to parents at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year, and it clearly states:
...the office staff will use a visual monitoring system to allow entry. Doors will be locked at approximately 9:30 a.m. Any student arriving after that time must be walked into the building and signed in at the office...
It's quite clear that if a student approached the school carrying an AR-15 rifle, he would not have been allowed entry! The only way he could have entered the school with the security system in place was to hide handguns under his clothes. You cannot hide an AR-15 rifle in a pocket, obviously.
Explanation #3) The video footage has been seized by the government and "archived" along with the footage of the missile that struck the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks. Where is all that video footage? It was all seized and completely hidden from public view.

Police Are Investigating If Gun Map Played A Role In White Plains Burglary

White Plains, NY – Back on December 23, 2012, the Journal News published an interactive map listing the names and addresses of residents in New York’s Westchester and Rockland counties who have a permit for a gun.
In order to assemble a list of those with permits, the Journal News submitted a Freedom of Information request. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a law that gives anyone the right to request and access information from the federal government. Upon request, agencies of the United States government are required to disclose records in accordance with the FOIA. All of the names and addresses were compiled through public records.
The New York Newsday reports that may be the case in a White Plains, New York burglary attempt that happened Saturday. At least two burglars broke into a home on Davis Avenue at 9:30 pm, but were unsuccessful in an attempt to open the gun safe, which contained legally owned weapons. The home owner was not home at the time. One suspect was taken into custody.
Police are investigating what role, if any, the database played in the burglars’ decision to target the home. The homeowner’s name and address had been included on the interactive map of gun permit holders published on the Journal News’ website.

After the Journal News published interactive maps
detailing where gun owners live in a number of New York counties in
late December, people all across the nation decried the move as an
invasion of privacy and a danger to the families.
A number of ex-burglars told Fox News that the list would prove invaluable to criminals, telling them which houses to avoid or rob, depending on what they wanted.
It was revealed on Sunday that one of
the homes identified by the paper was targeted by burglars over the
weekend, though a connection to the Journal News has not been proven.
New York’s Westchester/Rockland Newsday has noteworthy details on the break-in (all subsequent emphasis added):
A White Plains residence pinpointed on a controversial handgun permit database was burglarized Saturday, and the burglars’ target was the homeowner’s gun safe.
At least two burglars broke into a home on Davis Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Saturday but were unsuccessful in an attempt to open the safe, which contained legally owned weapons, according to a law enforcement source. One suspect was taken into custody, the source said.
The gun owner was not home when the burglary occurred, the source said. The victim, who is in his 70s, told Newsday on Sunday that he did not want to comment while the police investigation continues.
Neighbor John Mascia said he thought the gun permit database should not have been published.
“I could [not] care less what they have in their home,” Mascia said.Police are investigating what role, if any, the database played in the burglars’ decision to target the home, the law enforcement source said.
Republican State Senator Greg Ball of New York released a strongly-worded statement
on the matter Sunday, adding that he plans to introduce legislation to
better protect the identities of gun owners in the future:
“The Journal News has placed the lives of these folks at risk by creating a virtual shopping list for criminals and nut jobs. If the connection is proven, this is further proof that these maps are not only an invasion of privacy but that they present a clear and present danger to law-abiding, private citizens. Former convicts have already testified to the usefulness of the asinine Journal News ‘gun maps’ yet the reckless editors are evidently willing to roll the dice, gambling with the lives of innocent local homeowners,” Senator Greg Ball said.“The same elitist eggheads who use their editorial page to coddle terrorists and criminals are now treating law abiding citizens like level three sexual predators. These bills are critical to keep folks safe and fundamentally protect their inherent right to privacy… This is not about the Second Amendment; these bills are simply about commonsense and personal privacy. Publishing this information on a website, as we have evidently just witnessed in the recent attempted gun burglary, provides criminals with a map of where they can steal firearms from lawful owners for later use in the commission of crimes. This legislation is critical,” said Senator Greg Ball.
Ball wasn’t the only one to call out the Journal News in the wake of the robbery. Senator Ball’s office adds:
In addition to Senator Ball’s legislation, the Vice President of the Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County, Robert Buckley, said in a letter [that] publishing these maps online is jeopardizing the safety of residents and is irresponsible.
“The Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County Inc. is putting The Journal News on notice that we will hold [them] accountable for any incident where any of our over 25,000 members are involved with an incident where a criminal or ex-con presents themselves at the residence of one of our members as a result of their name being made public by [their] newspaper,” said Buckley.
Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro ripped into the Journal News over the weekend, noting that the “cowards” who publish the paper appear to be fiercely protective of their own privacy:
