No Rule of Law Anymore!

Why should we follow the rules when the Government, RNC and DNC don't follow the rules? It's all a sham! There is no more rule of law in this Country. If we follow the rules and are bound by them, while our opponents are unbound and are free to do as they please; we get our asses kicked!

Your voting rights are under attack

A few days ago, Ron Nielson sent out the following letter. I hope you'll take just a few minutes to read it over, and if possible, donate to Gov. Gary Johnson. We can't do this without your help.

Friends,

Your voting rights are under attack – by Mitt Romney and the national Republicans.

Mitt Romney doesn’t want Gov. Gary Johnson on the ballot.  It’s just that simple.

Clearly, the idea of giving voters a chance in November to vote for a presidential candidate who is serious about cutting spending, repealing the Patriot Act, ending the wars, and standing up for individual liberties is scaring the Republicans – and perhaps it should.

But rather than have a debate on these issues with Governor Johnson, the Republicans are trying to silence him.  In elections offices and courts across the country, Republican operatives and lawyers are trying to remove  Governor Johnson’s name from the ballot before the voters ever get a chance to cast their vote.  Fending off these attacks is difficult, it is unfair…..and expensive.

You can help defend the rights of voters in those states.  Go to www.garyjohnson2012.com today.

In Virginia, one of the most difficult states in the nation to qualify for the ballot, our supporters worked long and hard to submit thousands of signatures, and election officials approved them – something not even Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich accomplished.  Nevertheless, a few days ago, the Republican Party challenged our petitions and forced us to devote precious resources to simply keeping Gov. Johnson on the ballot.  We succeeded, as you can read here: Gary Johnson Makes Virginia Ballot.  But it took a lot of time and money that could be used to buy radio and TV ads.

The same tactics are being used against Gov. Johnson in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Oklahoma, Michigan and elsewhere.  The story is the same.  Republican Party representatives and their lawyers are bringing frivolous challenges to our ballot qualifications – and making us spend our money to defend the rights of voters to support Gov. Johnson if they wish.  And they just happen to be doing so in key states where polls show Gov. Johnson gaining ground.

Gov. Johnson needs your support to keep up the fight.

So far, we are winning these battles.  Just yesterday, an Iowa court rejected the Republicans’ challenge.  We prevailed in Virginia.  And in the past couple of days, Gov. Johnson has been placed on the ballot in both New Hampshire and Hawaii.  In all, we have qualified for the ballot in 43 states, and are committed to doing so in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

But the fight is just beginning.  Right now, we are having to go to court in Michigan and Oklahoma, and we have heard from Republican operatives that they fully intend to try to remove Gov. Johnson from the ballot wherever they can.

So, here is what we have to do:  Based on our experience so far, we know that it will cost at least $100,000 just to fend off these frivolous ballot challenges – and that is money we HAVE to spend.  With only a month or so remaining before ballots have to be printed, we must have those funds available NOW.  Please go to www.garyjohnson2012.com and contribute whatever amount you can to make sure we can keep up the fight.  Every dollar counts.

Your support and generosity have brought us to the point where our opponents are trying everything they can to keep Gov. Johnson off the ballot.  We can’t let that happen. Not even in a single state.  While the Republicans are flying around the country and hiring the most expensive law firms in places like Des Moines and Philadelphia, our attorneys are driving from state to state and depending on great supporters to help mount our defenses.

We’re going to win, but not without your help.  Please contribute to our “Let Us Vote” fund today at www.garyjohnson2012.com. It is essential that we raise $100,000 to keep up the fight – and keep winning.

Liberty MUST be on the ballot in November.  That’s what Governor Johnson’s campaign is about, and it starts with your help today.

Thank you for your friendship to Governor Johnson, and your support.

Governor Gary Johnson

P.S. Keep an eye out for updates and news stories about our ballot fights in Michigan, Oklahoma and elsewhere.  There are new developments every day. Please get involved by going to www.garyjohnson2012.com and making a contribution.

Democrats Stupid, Dumb, or Ignorant? (Maybe all Three)

When Schiff asked a delegated whether corporations should lose money, she said, “Yeah, I think so.”

Another delegate agreed: “Maybe we should have corporate losses.”

These interviews took place in the Time Warner Cable Arena. The last night, September 6th, was originally scheduled to be held at the 72,000-seat Bank of America Stadium, where President Obama was to deliver his acceptance speech. It was moved inside the arena in order to accommodate a smaller crowd.

There wouldn’t be an arena or a stadium if corporations didn’t make profits. Who would risk investing in equipment, hiring employees, and paying their insurance, Workman’s Compensation, Social Security, and Medicare and then spend millions of dollars to build either of these venues if there wasn’t a sizeable profit in it for them?

The cost of the Time Warner Cable Arena was estimated to cost around $260 million. The Bank of America Stadium cost $368 million. Time Warner Cable employed 48,500 people in 2011.The only corporations that have enough money to rent these venues are those that make a lot of money. They, too, are in business to make a profit.

If you want to know what a nation looks like when people are not allowed to make a profit, go to North Korea. Cuba’s closer.

What do people do with profits? They spend them, invest them, distribute them to share holders, and save them. If they invest them, the money goes to help other companies to build things. To build things means that they’ll need to hire people.

There is an economic ripple effect in the profit motive. Spending also means that other people benefit with no need of government. Liberals believe that taxation is a better distributor of wealth. This is nonsense since the wealth is only redistributed to groups that will vote for the tax confiscators. Since the money was not earned, politicians have no concern for what government programs cost. Any time they need more money for a new program or to prop up a failed one, they pass laws to tax more people at a higher rate.

Ronald Reagan understood how government works:

“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”

Corporations don’t have this authority and power.

A dependent class of voters is created in order to keep the redistribution process going. The bureaucracy that is needed to confiscate and then redistribute the money costs a multi-million-dollar fortune.

Schiff then asked some of the delegates if they would be in favor of a law that would put a cap on corporate profits. Do these people have any idea what would happen if such a law were to pass?

People would only work up to the profit level allowed by the government and then close up shop for the rest of the year. This would mean fewer items produced at a higher cost to consumers.

One delegate said that she would support anything her president wanted to do. Schiff asked, “Anything?” She said, “Anything.”  People always wonder how the sane people in Germany went insane in electing Adolf Hitler. Wonder no longer.

There’s a lesson here for people who claim there’s no difference between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. The major difference is in the people who support each man.

Eurozone demands that Greece mandate six-day workweek in exchange for second bailout

But never on Sunday! Says Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, ‘This is the last such package of spending cuts...The Greek economy can take no more.’

Eurozone lenders say that Athens must introduce a six-day workweek, in addition to standardized minimum wage and overtime limits.

Eurozone lenders say that Athens must introduce a six-day workweek, in addition to standardized minimum wage and overtime limits.

Greece may soon see one-day weekends if its government bows to its creditors’ demands.
Eurozone lenders say that Athens must introduce a six-day workweek in exchange for the country's second bailout, according to a leaked letter obtained by the Guardian.
The letter, written by the "troika" or the European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund, also demands that Greece standardize both minimum wage and overtime limits.
EUROZONE COUNTRIES REACH AGREEMENT TO GIVE GREECE $170 BILLION IN EXTRA BAILOUT CASH
The demands come a week after Greece's Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, promised that the spending cuts planned for 2013 to 2014 would be the country's last.
"This is the last such package of spending cuts," Samaras told members of his conservative party. "The Greek economy can take no more."
GREECE's HARSH NEW AUSTERITY MEASURES PROVOKE RIOT
Greece has pledged to fulfill the spending cuts as part of its commitment to its creditors, though many in the Eurozone have expressed concern that Samaras is far from meeting the fiscal requirements they have imposed.
Creditors asked Greece to cut $14.5 billion from its budget by June — a goal the country has not yet met, United Press International reported.
The budget must be cut before Greece receives more aid next month.
