A Scary Obituary

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh ,
Had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that
they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the
most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
Collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.

During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."
The Obituary follows:

Born 1776, Died 2012

It doesn't hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in  St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by:            Obama: 19                 McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by:       Obama: 580,000        McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by:    Obama: 127 million   McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2  McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the  United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom..

This is truly scary!

Of course we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic .

Someone should point this out to Obama.

Of course we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution.

There couldn't be more at stake than on Nov 6, 2012.

If you are as concerned as I am please pass this along.

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured ...

But not prove they are a citizen."

‘Mark of the Beast’ in School Lunch Scanners?

08212012Hestonby

Biometrics, the science of using machines to identify people by the features of their own bodies, is intruding further into families’ lives.
Some parents in Lake Charles, Louisiana, have been upset by a letter sent home with Moss Bluff Elementary School children about plans for a new school lunch program that will require children to have their hands scanned in the lunch line.
The scanners would identify the child and the lunch payment plan. School officials say it would speed up the lunch line and increase efficiency.
“With an elementary school, they all come through line, and most of them eat here. It would make us more efficient and more accurate,” Principal Charles Caldarera told KPLC TV. “We’ve had parents complain in the past, because they felt like their children weren’t eating, that we assigned them a charge for the day, and they might have been right.”
But some parents are angry about the new program.
Parent Mamie Sonnier told the TV station: “As a Christian, I’ve read the Bible, you know go to church and stuff. I know where it’s going to end up coming to, the mark of the beast. I’m not going to let my kids have that.”
Caldarera said a number of parents have expressed similar complaints to him, but he says the scanners are just everyday technology.
The principal has a point that this sort of technology has become commonplace, but does that mean people should put up with it?
Other schools across the nation are considering similar scanners. Some already use thumb print identification.
In the adult world, many states require a thumb print to obtain a driver’s license. Some banks will scan your prints just to cash a check. Law enforcement for a century or so has kept records of the fingerprints of anyone who gets arrested.
Nowadays, law enforcement will also take DNA samples if you enter the system. The military branches keep similar records.
Facial recognition software is gaining in use. Not only can it be used to identify criminals, but there are companies that sell it as a security device to protect access to computers and other systems.
Retinal scanning systems are being developed to help deliver advertising via audio, video and shopping center signage, a la the Tom Cruise movie “Minority Report.”
As part of Obamacare, the federal government is expected to create a database containing the medical records of every American. At the very least, this will likely result in some sort of national ID card, but there are persistent rumors that the preferred method will be to implant a chip in patients.
Some of the rumors of a 2013 deadline for “chipping” America are based on a strained reading of parts of the Obamacare law. However, considering the current Administration, it’s not hard to foresee our government doing exactly that for “convenience” and “security.”
There are people who say that the Mark of the Beast will be given in a very public fashion, with people lining up willingly to receive it. Others have suggested that it’s being implemented bit by bit through use of biometric systems.
I don’t really consider myself qualified to interpret Revelation, but I notice most of the people pushing for these biometric systems seem to be ardent secularists, with all that implies. They certainly don’t care about my or your privacy or dignity.
Our current government makes me want to quote Charlton Heston: “Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty apes!”
