Gunmen kill 16 in central Nigeria church attack
ABUJA (Reuters) - Gunmen killed 16 people when they fired on worshippers at a church in Nigeria's central Kogi state during a Monday evening service, police said on Tuesday.
"A group of three unidentified gunmen stormed the Deeper Life Church in Okene and opened fire on them, killing 16," Simeon Ille, spokesman for the Kogi state police, told Reuters by phone.
Ille said security forces last month prevented a suspected suicide bomber
from detonating an explosive at a different church in Okene, a town
around 140 miles south of the capital Abuja. The suspected would-be
bomber fled, he said.
Islamist sect Boko Haram has attacked several churches this year in Nigeria but Monday's attack was further south than the group's usual targets.
The group's strikes
are increasingly spreading across Nigeria, Africa's biggest oil
producer. Cities across the north and in the capital Abuja have been hit
in recent months by suicide bombers, never seen before last year in
Nigeria.
The country's 2
million barrel per day crude oil export business in the southern coastal
region has not been affected by the sect's violence.
The sect has killed hundreds this year in its insurgency against President Goodluck Jonathan's
government. It wants to have an Islamic state inside Nigeria, a country
of more than 160 million split roughly equally between Christians and
Muslims.
The group, which is
loosely based on Afghanistan's Taliban, usually target authority
figures and places of worship to settle scores with people they say
harmed their members.

In a scene reminiscent of the Jokers plot to rob a bank at the beginning of the Batman movie in which at each stage in the robbery one of the criminals was shot dead by his partner in crime, an Army Psychological Operations Specialist was shot dead by one of three other US military gunmen carrying out a massacre inside a Sikh Temple.
Credit for the killing of the Army Psychological Operations Specialist of course went to police who urged the public to believe despite testimony from multiple witnesses that there was only one gunman. The other three gunmen were witnessed leaving the scene by vehicle.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, notorious for it’s disinformation campaigns waged in an effort to disarm the American people has taken a lead role and government agency’s have been taking information directly from the SPLC as if it were verified fact.
Activists Julio Rausseo and Mike Paczesny who attended the press conference asking directly how they defined a domestic terrorist and if returning veterans were a target, immediately James Santelle who we will be investigating further stepped up to duck the question and refocus on mind controlling the population as you can see in the following clip…
When the shooting at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in suburban Milwaukee ended, six victims ranging in age from 39 to 84 years old lay dead. Three others were critically wounded, including a police officer.

A White House official said President Obama was notified of the shooting and is continuing to receive updates.
“At this difficult time, the people of Oak Creek must know that the American people have them in our thoughts and prayers, and our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who were killed and wounded,” Obama said in a statement.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker also canceled a Monday event in Green Bay after hearing about the shooting.
“Our hearts go out to the victims and their families, as we all struggle to comprehend the evil that begets this terrible violence,” he said in a statement. “At the same time, we are filled with gratitude for our first responders, who show bravery and selflessness as they put aside their own safety to protect our neighbors and friends.”
County Alderman Dan Jakupczyk told Fox News that the people at the temple have been “good citizens.”
