Calm Cluster Headaches With Kudzu

Can "the plant that ate the South" really be beneficial to those suffering from the excruciating neurological disease called cluster headaches, aka suicide headaches? Sure, it can, according to a report that appeared in the medical journal Headache, written by R. Andrew Sewell, M.D. of Yale University of Medicine in Connecticut. Sewell found kudzu can be used in many safe and natural alternative remedies for your worst health problems.

In a survey of patients with cluster headaches who used kudzu treatments, the majority reported a decrease in the frequency of attacks. Plus, more than one-third of the patients had a decrease in the length of attacks. More »

More eerie 'ghost cities' popping up

Shocking photographs reveal towns completely devoid of people
by Chelsea Schilling

Why is China constructing large, well-designed “ghost cities” that are completely devoid of people?
Now, the BBC reports a giant new Chinese-built city has been spotted in Africa in the outskirts of Angola’s capital Luanda.
The city, Nova Cidade de Kilamba, was designed to hold up to a half million people and features 750 eight-story apartment buildings, 12 schools and more than 100 retail units, according to the report.
State-owned China International Trust and Investment Corporation reportedly took less than three years to build the city at a cost of $3.5 billion. It covers 12,355 acres.
BBC former Angola correspondent Louise Redvers reported that the discovered that the city’s buildings are completely empty.
The empty cities aren’t only in Africa.
WND and Jerome Corsi’s Red Alert reported just last year that Google Earth photographs of China depict city after city of vast complexes consisting of office skyscrapers, government buildings, apartment buildings, residential towers and homes, all connected by networks of empty roads – with some of the cities located in China’s truly most inhospitable locations.

Images of these “ghost cities” – after countless billions of dollars have been spent on the towns’ design and construction – reveal nobody lives in them.
Block after block of empty houses and apartment buildings, glamorous public buildings, magnificent public parks and sports complexes, even art museums, remain entirely empty.
“The photographs look like giant movie sets prepared to film apocalyptic motion pictures in which some sort of a neutron war or bizarre natural disaster has eliminated people from the face of the earth while leaving the skyscrapers, sports stadiums, parks and roads perfectly intact,” Corsi noted. “One of China’s ghost cities is actually built in the middle of a desert in Inner Mongolia.”
Business Insider ran a series of photos of these Chinese ghost cities. One showed no cars in the city except for approximately 100 parked in largely empty lots clustered around a government building, and another showed a beautiful wetland park with people added using Photoshop.
At the time, China had an estimated inventory of 64 million vacant homes and was building up to 20 new ghost cities a year on the country’s “vast swathes of free land.”

Business Insider speculated that the Chinese need to put their money somewhere, so developers have decided to build, as a place to store the wealth, even if the Chinese building these cities do not intend to live in them and there is no prospect they can find renters.
ScallyWagAndVagabond.com quoted Patrick Chovanec, a business teacher at Tsinghua University in Beijing, who explained, “Who wants to be the mayor who reports that he didn’t get 8 percent GDP growth this year? Nobody wants to come forward with that. So the incentives in the system are to build. And if that’s the easiest way to achieve growth, then you build.”

Video - Pain Capable Testimony

National Pro-Life Alliance

If there ever was graphic testimony detailing the horrors of abortion, those attending the recent hearing on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act heard it firsthand.

Dr. Anthony Levatino, OB/Gyn, who had performed more than 1,200 abortions, testified before the House Subcommittee on the Constitution to his change of heart after suffering the searing pain from the death of his own child.

Dr. Levatino was speaking at a House hearing on H.R.3803, the "District of Columbia Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act."

This bill that would ban abortions based on the extreme pain that the unborn go through during an abortion procedure.

But Dr. Anthony didn't just speak in sterile medical terms about abortions.

Rather, he told with excruciating detail of how he would perform a D&E abortion, even showing some of the medical instruments during his testimony for emphasis.

He went step by horrid step in his description, telling of how he would literally pull the baby apart to remove it from the mother's womb, and then how he would put it back together after he was done, like some kind of gory jigsaw puzzle, to make sure he had removed all of the dead child.

While this may be awful to read, I think it is something that every rational adult needs to hear, especially those who insist that an unborn child is just a "blob of tissue."

Levatino ended his testimony to the shaken subcommittee members with harsh words, "And if you think that doesn't hurt, if you believe that isn't an agony for the baby, please think again."

Amazingly, Dr. Levatino's testimony actually brought out the rabid pro-abortion lobby, who argued against the bill, comparing the gruesome abortion testimony to being no more than hearing about a dental cleaning.

And, as usual, the media has had a virtual blackout on any information about the battle raging in the U.S. House of Representatives over efforts to ban any type of abortion.

The media doesn't want anyone focusing on this issue, particularly not on Dr. Levatino's frank testimony, and most especially not on the excruciating pain suffered by unborn children.

Instead, they're talking up the "war on women."

But Dr. Levatino’s video testimony has gone viral on the internet, bringing the awful truth to millions of people.

Let his bravery in facing, admitting and then changing, his deadly lifestyle inspire you and I to keep involved in the fight to protect the innocent unborn.

Mark of the Beast: Sundays must be a day of rest dedicated to God, family, pope says

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- The demands of work can't bully people out of needed time off, Pope Benedict XVI said.

Sunday must be a day of rest for everyone, so people can be free to be with their families and with God, the pope said.

"By defending Sunday, one defends human freedom," he said during his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square June 6.

In his catechesis, the pope told an estimated 15,000 pilgrims and visitors about his trip June 1-3 to Milan for the seventh World Meeting of Families.

He thanked everyone who made the "unforgettable and wonderful event" possible and praised the willingness he witnessed of people striving to live a "Gospel of the family."

"Humanity has no future without the family," he said. Young people need to be born and raised in "that community of life and love that God himself wanted," that is, a family based on marriage between a man and woman, he said.

He reminded young people that they, too, have a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of the family, such as by saying "yes" to God's will, working hard in their studies, being generous to others, being active in the community and using their talents to better the world.

The pope said when he met government representatives in Milan, he reminded them of the importance of policies and laws that protect the family. The most essential is the right to life, "whose its deliberate suppression can never be allowed." The identity of the family, based on marriage between a man and a woman, needs recognition, too, the pope said.

During an evening vigil of testimonies, the pope answered the questions of five families from different countries because "I wanted to show the open dialogue that exists between families and the church, between the world and the church," he said.

He said he was quite taken by people's testimonies, which dealt with "hot-button issues" such as the difficulties families experience because of separation, divorce, the economic crisis and long hours on the job.

The pope said he wanted to come to the defense of free time, which is "threatened by a kind 'bullying' by the demands of work."

"Sunday is the day of the Lord and of man, a day which everyone must be able to be free -- free for the family and free for God."

Family, work, rest and celebration are gifts from God and important aspects of human life that must find a "harmonious balance" in order to build a more humane world, he said.

He said the World Meeting of Families was a way to send a message to the whole world that "it is possible and joyful, even if it takes work, to live love faithfully forever and be open to life" and that it's also possible for the whole family to take part in the mission of the church and help create a better world.
