The Truth about the Healthcare Bill By Someone Who Actually Read It

 Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be healthcare professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government.
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable healthcare choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.
The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration [and later bureaucratic agencies] authority in a number of  areas over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own and operate.
The irony is that the Congress doesn’t have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate healthcare.

This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare recorrds, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn’t work since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax which definitely deprives someone of property without the due process of law.
So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hates so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn’t stop there.
The 9th Amendment provides: “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”
The 10th Amendment offers additional protections: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork called “Healthcare,” neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers in many areas that once were theirs to control.
I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about healthcare; it is about seizing power and limiting rights.
Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution.” If I was a member of Congress, I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.
For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest you consult the source, the US Constitution and its attendant Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

Man in the women's room?

Should a man be allowed to use women's only restrooms?

You and I both know the answer: Of course not!

But Obama's Department of Justice has just ordered a college to allow exactly that.

You see, they have decided a sexually disturbed man -- who goes by "Jennifer" Braly -- has the right to use any women's restroom on the campus of Arkansas University.

All because he has declared himself to be a woman.

Jennifer Braly -- who used to be Russell Braly -- is a fully biological male.

He is in his late 30s, twice married, and a father.  But a few years ago, he decided to pretend to be a woman in public.

And now he believes he is entitled to special rights because of his sexual perversion.

Using the "protected class" created by the Homose xual Lobby, Mr. Braly has been pushing the envelope of social conventions to see what he can get away with.

He started by illegally using women's bathrooms in disguise -- for more than a year!

But Mr. Braly wasn't satisfied with this arrangement.  He wanted people to know that he was a man acting like a woman, so he made of point of spreading his story all over campus.

Instead of condemnation, his professors praised him and the school administrators did not try to stop him.

However the women of this school were outraged to realize the person next to them in the bathroom was actually a man.

Since Mr. Braly refused to use the men's room, the University of Arkansas catered to his demands for restroom privileges by creating special gender-neutral facilities.

But "Jennifer" Braly wasn't getting what he really wanted, so he went directly to the U.S. Department of Justice.

There he claimed his access to women's bathroom were a protected civil right!

And Obama's Justice Department (DOJ) agreed with him and ordered the University of Arkansas to comply -- or else.

So far the DOJ has refused to release the contents of the legal threat they levied at the University of Arkansas, but it terrified the school so badly they immediately surrendered.

And now this middle aged man -- whom reports indicate is still interested in women -- can use any bathroom he likes without consequences.

My friend, this is an outrage.

This is just the latest immoral action taken by Attorney General Eric Holder.

Only a few weeks ago Public Advocate called for him to open investigations into a major homose xual child tracking ring -- a crime his department has been ignoring for months.

And instead, we get a cross-dressing pervert in the ladies room.

I need you to call Mr. Holder's office right now and demand that the Department of Justice withdraw its support of Jennifer Braly and reaffirm the rights of women to privacy.

How to Make Homemade Vitamin Water

The idea of drinking vitamin water is definitely appealing. I don’t know of anyone who actually enjoys taking vitamin supplements in pill form. I also know that many people don’t like the taste of plain water. However, the type of vitamin water most people are familiar with, the bottled brand Vitaminwater®, owned by Glacéau, a privately owned subsidiary of Coca-Cola company, is unhealthy — to say the least. Even Coca-Cola’s attorneys recently admitted that Vitaminwater® is unhealthy in response to a lawsuit filed by the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). In court briefings, one of the attorneys replied, “No consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking Vitaminwater® was a healthy beverage.”

Yet Coca-Cola has marketed their Vitaminwater® for years as a healthful beverage.

In fact, the company has claimed Vitaminwater® reduces the risk of chronic disease, promotes healthy joints, supports immune function, and may also help reduce the risk of eye disease.

So what makes Vitaminwater® so unhealthy?
Without reading the label, you would assume the beverage contains primarily vitamins and water. However, the main ingredients are sugar and water. A more fitting name for the product should be Sugarwater.
Each 20-ounce bottle of Vitaminwater® contains 33 grams of sugar! The sugar added is crystalline fructose, a processed sweetener linked to numerous health problems. It’s hardly a health drink.
In addition, the so-called vitamins added to the beverage are synthetic vitamin chemicals—not the natural nutrients your body could actually assimilate and utilize.

Don’t be fooled. Drinking Coca-Cola’s line of vitamin and electrolyte-enhanced waters are unhealthy and a waste of money. Water is the best way to rehydrate your body. Sometimes we need a little bit more or we just want a little bit more. The options for flavoured or enhanced drinks are expensive high sugar drinks that have unrecognizable ingredients. There is an alternative! A homemade drink that tastes great, has all the benefits of the store bought options and you can pronounce all the ingredients. The best part of making this yourself is you have complete control over the nutritional value and sugar content of this drink. You can cater it specifically to your own needs.

1) Use distilled or purified water. You can use the pur filter on your tap, any other filtration system you may have or bottled water.
2 )Add in your favorite Add ons.  Here are some options.
You can stir in some dried or fresh herbs like mint, rosemary, chamomile or lavender. Use 2 tbsp / quart. Tie it in a thin muslin bag or put in a stainless steel tea ball or just drop it in. I like fresh herbs and leaves just soaking in my water.
You can add fresh fruit or vegetables like orange slices, lemon slices, peaches, berries, apple, pineapple, cucumber, celery, ginger etc. Be creative. Mix and match. Use about 1 -2 cups of fruit or vegetable / quart.  Put into a pitcher  and steep overnight in the fridge to let the flavors mingle and mix.
Herbs are a rich, whole food source of vitamins and minerals. Your body is able to most effectively recognize and absorb nutrients from food sources. We source fresh, dried herbs from Local Harvest. Choose one herb, like peppermint, or blend a few for a unique flavor. Have fun creating different flavors until you find the one that is just perfect for you.

Add 2-3 teaspoons of dried herbs per quart of water. Place your choice of fresh, dried herbs into a cotton muslin bag or stainless steel tea ball and place into the pitcher of pure, clean water.
You can mix and match herbs with fruit/ veggie slices if you like. Some of my favorite combos are :


Mint+ Cucumber + Green Apple
Lavender + Blueberries
Mixed berries + Mint
Pineapple + Mint + Ginger
Orange +Lemon + Tangerine slices + Ginger




3 ) Strain the liquid in the morning in a clear glass. Use a strainer if you want or just pour the water into a glass or bottle for delish all natural Vitamin and Mineral water. I like to have some fruit still floating in when I drink it.
4) If you feel like you can add a squirt of liquid vitamin ( available at health food stores) and or a tsp of powdered or liquid vitamin c. Add this only after you strain the liquid. Personally I just like the natural vitamins in the fruit and herbs. I do add some liquid Vitamin C in the winter or if I need an extra boost !


5) If you feel you need your vitamin water sweet add some natural sugar or honey. You can also add Agave Nectar or Stevia to make it diabetic friendly !
Add some ice cubes or seltzer water for spritzy vitamin drink that will have you drinking lots of fluid for the sheer pleasure of it !


3. Leave the pitcher in your refrigerator overnight. And Viola! Fresh, cold vitamin & mineral water that sweetens your breath, reduces puffiness, contributes to the strength and beauty of your hair, skin and nails, and provides a whole food source of a dazzling array of vitamin and minerals. You won’t want to pay for fancy bottled waters again! We like to add ice, lemons, limes or cucumbers too, for a little extra zing. Your homemade vitamin & mineral water will stay fresh and tasty for about 48 hours. So drink up!

Refreshing Spa Water

• 10 cups water
• 1/2 large cucumber, thinly sliced
• 1 lemon, thinly sliced
• 1/4 cup loosely packed basil leaves
• 1/3 cup loosely packed mint leaves

Combine ingredients in a large pitcher. Steep for several hours or overnight. Enjoy for 1-2 days. If this water disappears within the first day, I will add more water the next night to enjoy for another day before throwing out the herbs and lemon. Drink up!

Hibiscus
Calms and relaxes, relieves stomach problems and sweetens the breath! This tart little flower is also reported by herbalists to help lower blood pressure and reduce appetite.


Oatstraw
An excellent toner for your body, oat straw is rich in calcium, magnesium and the “beauty” mineral, silica. It also contains B-complex vitamins, flavones, saponins, and Vitamin A. This is a great way to add calcium to your diet for strong bones. And the silica content helps to strengthen and add shine to hair, nails and skin.


Roships
The rose hip, also called the rose haw, is actually the fruit of the rose. One of the most concentrated sources of vitamin C available, rose hips also contain various flavonoids that have potent antioxidant action, helping to protect the body from the effects of stress, aging and the environment. Rose hips are also an excellent source of iron.



Spearmint
A great breath enhancer, spearmint is also known for its ability to whiten teeth. Spearmint helps to relieve indigestion and is an anti-inflammatory and a diuretic which means bye-bye bloating. The aroma of fresh mint will perk you up and the flavor instantly refreshes.

The White House Secret Kill List

In a recent column posted on LewRockwell.com, Judge Andrew Napolitano highlighted a recent New York Times investigative report that reveals how President Barack Obama is engaging in secret assassinations worldwide. Judge Napolitano begins, “The leader of the government regularly sits down with his senior generals and spies and advisers and reviews a list of the people they want him to authorize their agents to kill. They do this every Tuesday morning when the leader is in town. The leader once condemned any practice even close to this, but now relishes the killing because he has convinced himself that it is a sane and sterile way to keep his country safe and himself in power. The leader, who is running for re-election, even invited his campaign manager to join the group that decides whom to kill.
“This is not from a work of fiction, and it is not describing a series of events in the Kremlin or Beijing or Pyongyang. It is a fair summary of a 6,000-word investigative report in The New York Times earlier this week about the White House of Barack Obama. Two Times journalists, Jo Becker and Scott Shane, painstakingly and chillingly reported that the former lecturer in constitutional law and liberal senator who railed against torture and Gitmo now weekly reviews a secret kill list, personally decides who should be killed and then dispatches killers all over the world–and some of his killers have killed Americans.
“We have known for some time that President Obama is waging a private war. By that I mean he is using the CIA on his own–and not the military after congressional authorization–to fire drones at thousands of persons in foreign lands, usually while they are riding in a car or a truck. He has done this both with the consent and over the objection of the governments of the countries in which he has killed. He doesn’t want to talk about this, but he doesn’t deny it. How chilling is it that David Axelrod–the president’s campaign manager–has periodically seen the secret kill list? Might this be to keep the killings politically correct?”
The judge concludes, “Since 9/11, the United States government has set up national security systems that function not under the Constitution, not under the Geneva Conventions, not under the rule of law, not under the rules of war, not under federal law, but under a new secret system crafted by the Bush administration and personally directed by Obama, the same Obama who condemned these rules as senator and then extended them as president. In the name of fighting demons in pick-up trucks and wars that Congress has never declared, the government shreds our rights, taps our cellphones, reads our emails, kills innocents abroad, strip searches 87-year-old grandmothers in wheelchairs and 3-year-old babies in their mothers’ arms, and offers secrecy when the law requires accountability.
“Obama has argued that his careful consideration of each person he orders killed and the narrow use of deadly force are an adequate and constitutional substitute for due process. The Constitution provides for no such thing. He has also argued that the use of drones to do his killing is humane since they are ‘surgical’ and only kill their targets. We know that is incorrect. And he has argued that these killings are consistent with our values. What is he talking about? The essence of our values is the rule of law, not the rule of presidents.”

Let me begin by offering kudos to Judge Napolitano for his trenchant column, and kudos to New York Times reporters Jo Becker and Scott Shane for their blockbuster report.
Do readers not find it a little curious that hardly anyone in the national press corps–or even in the vast majority of the local media–has not picked up the Times report? After all, the New York Times is the unquestioned flagship newspaper of America. The vast majority of newspapers around the country rely on the NYT for much of their reporting. So, why didn’t we see this report blasted on front pages all across the United States? Do newspaper publishers and editors really think that this report is not Page One worthy? Is not this the kind of story that the freedom of the press was directly designed for? And where were the three major network news shows or even the cable news shows on this report? This is an incredible report, and for all intents and purposes, the story is relegated to media oblivion.
Oh, yes! Maybe we also now know why so many drones are beginning to appear over the skies of America.
One would think that the supposed “anti-Obama” FOX News network would be all over this story. To help enlighten readers, let me quickly point out the sagacious point that Judge Napolitano made in his column, “Since 9/11, the United States government has set up national security systems that function not under the Constitution, not under the Geneva Conventions, not under the rule of law, not under the rules of war, not under federal law, but under a new secret system crafted by the Bush administration.”
Ah! There it is! That’s why FOX News ignores the story. G.W. Bush is just as culpable in this monstrous activity as is Barack Obama. In fact, Bush is the one who created this modern American version of Hitler’s Brown Shirts. When it comes to ignoring the US Constitution and assuming dictatorial Hitlerian policies, Republican and Democrat Presidential administrations of late have been virtual Siamese Twins.
Now, please read this paragraph carefully (taken from HistoryLearningSite.com): “Germany became a nation of snoops. People were employed in each street, in each building complex, etc. with the sole purpose of keeping an eye on others in their ‘area’ and reporting them to the authorities if they believed that something was amiss. [Sounds like America’s Department of Homeland Security, doesn’t it?] The reputation of the Nazi police and the secret police lead by Himmler was such that no-one wished to cause offence. People kept their thoughts to themselves unless they wished to invite trouble. In this sense, Nazi Germany was a nation run on fear of the government. Hitler had created a one party state within months of being appointed chancellor.”

And ladies and gentlemen, this is why electing Mitt Romney will change nothing! The same Orwellian, big-government internationalists who are manipulating Barack Obama, and who manipulated G.W. Bush (and Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush) are manipulating Mitt Romney. Ever since President Ronald Reagan, it hasn’t mattered to a tinker’s dam whether a Republican or Democrat has been in the White House. As Sonny and Cher sang, “The Beat Goes On.” For all intents and purposes, America only has one party at the national level. Pat Buchanan was right when he said that the Elephants and Donkeys inside the Beltway were “two wings of the same bird of prey.”
Of course, if the American electorate suddenly got a surge of constitutional electricity and would elect Congressman Ron Paul as President, the story would be much different. Things would change at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue–not to mention in the United States and the entire world–dramatically. However, with the majority of Americans in the hip pockets of the mainstream media, a Romney/Obama showdown in November seems inevitable (although I am still privately cheering for a Ron Paul coup d’etat at the GOP national convention in Tampa).
So, how many people have been or are on this secret kill list–and who are they? With the vast majority of the mainstream media cowering in abject fear of the federal government, and with both major parties in Washington, D.C., walking in lockstep to the drumbeat of an emerging police state, who is left to even sound an alarm of protest? Well, two New York Times reporters did; Judge Andrew Napolitano did; Lew Rockwell did. And now I am, too.
Is this the kind of government that most Democrats want? Is this what they wanted when they elected Barack Obama? Is this the kind of government that most Republicans want? Is this what they wanted when they elected G.W. Bush?
Anyone who cannot see history being repeated is flat not paying attention! I cannot believe my country has turned into this!
Anyway, thank you Judge Napolitano for being a watchman on the wall!

Paul: Why can't GOP 'unite behind Constitution?'

FORT WORTH, Texas — Ron Paul says he's all for unity within the Republican Party - but only if conservatives come together to defend the right principles.
Addressing about 2,000 raucous supporters at the Texas Republican Convention in Fort Worth on Thursday, Paul asked, "Why shouldn't we all just unite behind the Constitution?"
The Libertarian congressman from Lake Jackson and unsuccessful presidential candidate was asked to speak on party unity and fiscal responsibility during an event separate from the convention's main general session.
He called for auditing the U.S. Federal Reserve and ending American involvement in military conflicts overseas. He added of the GOP, "compromising, getting together to spend more money, is what our problem has been."
Paul suspended active campaigning for the White House last month. He is also retiring from Congress.
