WND EXCLUSIVE Now a witness to Breitbart's death vanishes

Follows suspicious demise of member of coroner's team

A private investigator has been unable to find the only eyewitness to the sudden death of media innovator and conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.
The apparent disappearance of Christopher Lasseter, who says he saw Breitbart drop to the sidewalk in front of a restaurant, adds to the mystery surrounding Breitbart’s March 1 death.
On the day the Los Angeles County coroner released Breitbart’s autopsy report, a photographic technician at the corner’s office died suddenly of suspicious causes.
In addition, at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., just three weeks before Breitbart’s death – where he promised to unveil “damning” new video evidence of Barack Obama’s radical past that would change the election – Breitbart gave WND details of his upcoming revelations.
He claimed to WND that he had a video showing radical Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers and Barack Obama at Harvard planning revolution in the United States. But the video, aired just after he died, was of Obama introducing a radical Harvard professor, and the general response was flat.
Filmmaker Steve Bannon, appointed executive chairman of the Breitbart News Network after Breitbart’s death, has insisted to WND that the media mogul died of natural causes and to suggest anything else is irresponsible.
“Breitbart had an enlarged heart,” Bannon told WND. “He had been hospitalized for the problem last year and told to lose weight that he did not lose.”
Bannon, formerly a Breitbart News Network board member, told WND that for months prior to his death, Breitbart had been working overtime to finalize a refinancing of his news agency.
“He died of natural causes,” Bannon said. “The family wants the matter put to rest, and WND is beginning to irritate me suspecting foul play.”
In addition to Bannon, Laurence Solov, formerly president and chief operating officer, was elevated after Breitbart’s death. Solov took Breitbart’s place as CEO.
An eyewitness disappears
After recruiting the assistance of private investigators, WND found that Lasseter, the 26-year-old witness who saw Breitbart drop dead, is no longer residing at his last known address in California.
At the request of WND, Ohio-based private investigator Susan Daniels recruited a California-based private investigator to find Lasseter. The local investigator tried without success to find a cell phone or landline phone number for Lasseter.
After determining that Lasseter lived with his parents, Thornton, age 64, and Elaine, age 56, at a Los Angeles address, the investigator visited the residence in-person to see if he could make contact.
During the visit, the investigator reported, no one picked up the phone when he dialed the Lasseter apartment number outside the building. But he was greeted by a voice recording that identified different people at the apartment by first name, with none of the names on the recording being Christopher, Thornton or Elaine.
The investigator concluded Christopher Lasseter had “hunkered down” in what seemed to be an attempt to avoid further questioning.
He was unsure Lasseter was still residing at the address and considered it possible that Lasseter had moved.
On March 1, Crime File News reported Lasseter was walking his dog in Brentwood, Calif., when he saw Breitbart cross the street from the Brentwood Restaurant.
Breitbart was walking without apparent distress when he stepped on the curb “and fell like a sack of potatoes,” Lasseter said.
He noted that Breitbart’s skin color was bright red, which is not typically associated with heart attack victims.
Paul Huebl, who writes for CrimeFileNews.com, reported April 22 that he interviewed Lasseter and added the detail that the witness was disturbed by Breitbart’s color.
As a former Army medical corpsman, Lasseter knew that most heart attack victims turned blue.
Coroner’s assistant dies
On April 20, Los Angeles County Chief Coroner Craig Harvey released the autopsy report on Breitbart, listing the cause of death as heart failure resulting from an enlarged heart and some heart disease.
Harvey noted no prescription or illegal drugs were detected and only a small amount of alcohol was found in Breitbart’s system at the time of death.
While the coroner concluded no foul play was suspected, his report made no attempt to explain why Lasseter observed Breitbart’s skin was “bright red” at time of his death.
Then, within hours of the release of Breitbart’s preliminary autopsy report, Michael Cormier, age 61, a forensic technician who worked as a photographer in the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, died suddenly from what is suspected to be arsenic poisoning.
“At this point we haven’t ruled out foul play,” Los Angeles Police Lt. Alan Hamilton told the Los Angeles Times, referring to Cormier’s sudden death. “It’s one of the thing being considered. We are waiting for the coroner’s results.”

At CPAC Feb. 10, Breitbart told the influential audience of grass-roots supporters that he planned to do the vetting on Barack Obama that the mainstream media failed to do in 2008. He promised to begin releasing videos within a few weeks.
“The videos are going to come out; the narrative is going to come out that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails back in the 1980s like Bill (Ayers) and Bernardine Dohrn, equally radical, who said one day we’re going to have the presidency.”
Breitbart told WND at CPAC that the not-yet released videos included footage of Ayers and Obama openly discussing revolution while Obama was a student at Harvard Law School.
The video released by Breitbart.com after Breitbart’s death, however, showed law student Obama embracing Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic with ties to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s radical pastor for 20 years in Chicago.
“The video did not seem as earthshattering as Breitbart initially claimed it to be, just weeks before the 43-year-old unexpectedly passed away at his home last Thursday,” the New York Daily News observed.
Bannon insisted to WND that the video released by Breitbart.com after Breitbart’s death was the film Breitbart referred to when speaking in February to CPAC.
“There is no other footage,” Bannon insisted. “We were working on the Derrick Bell video when Breitbart died, and we released to the public the video we have.”
Bannon pointed out that during his CPAC speech Breitbart made the point that Obama at Harvard had advocated for “the worst of the worst to join the faculty – radicals at Beirut on the Charles.”
On Feb 5, Breitbart had dinner cooked by Ayers at the home of Ayers and Dohrn after Daily Caller publisher Tucker Carlson won a “Super Bowl Dinner” auctioned off by Ayers for $2,500.

Romney rejects Ron Paul-style austerity

You can almost hear the collective gasp from Ron Paul's loyal band of supporters.
Speaking Monday at a town hall style-meeting event in Cleveland, presumptive GOP presidential Mitt Romney plunged a fork into the idea that he could come around to embracing Mr. Paul's call for deep cuts in federal spending.
"My job is to get America back on track to have a balanced budget. Now I'm not going to cut $1 trillion in the first year," he said, distancing himself from Mr. Paul's (http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/inside-politics/2011/oct/19/paul-time-cut-spending/) plan to slice more than a quarter of the estimated $3.8 trillion being spent by the the federal government.
Why not, someone in the crowd apparently asked, sparking a response from the former Massachusetts governor.
"The reason," he explained, "is taking a trillion dollars out of a $15 trillion economy would cause our economy to shrink [and] would put a lot of people out of work."
Mr. Paul proposed deeper cuts in federal spending than any of his rivals in the GOP nomination contest, rolling out a plan in October that called for $1 trillion in spending cuts during his year in office -- in part by closing federal agencies, attrition in the federal work force and ending the wars overseas.
"I think the easiest place to cut spending is overseas," Mr. Paul said at the time, reminding supporters that the nation has spent trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan. "It doesn’t make us safer. It doesn’t make us richer. It makes us poorer."
Mr. Romney has offered a much different fiscal vision, arguing that federal spending should be cut and spending capped at about 20 percent of GDP. It now stands at about 25 percent of GDP. He's also railed against proposed cuts to military spending, which accounts for more than 18 percent of national spending.
Speaking at a campaign stop last week in Portsmouth, Va., Mr. Romney said he will add new ships to the U.S. Navy, add new aircraft to the Air Force and add 100,000 active duty personnel.

Due to an alleged violation of the national GOP's Rule # 11 (bans favoritism of one candidate while more than one candidate exists), an Executive Committee member within the GOP calls for the resignation of RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
Washington, DC, May 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Jeffrey Bales, a Member-at-Large of the Pima County GOP Executive Committee (Tucson, Arizona), says:
“Due to violation of the RNC's Rule #11, I call for Chairman Reince Priebus to resign immediately. It is un-American and beneath the standards established by the Republican Party to violate this rule. It is unethical to support a single Republican Presidential candidate (Mitt Romney) while other Republican candidates remain in the race.
"Further, I call upon Mitt Romney to denounce this behavior and ask that the RNC repair the breach of trust by including the other remaining Republican Presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul, in any dispensation of funds, effort and labor. Rule #11 states:
"Rule No. 11 Candidate Support
(a) The Republican National Committee shall not, without the prior written and filed approval of all members of the Republican National Committee from the state involved, contribute money or in-kind aid to any candidate for any public or party office except the nominee of the Republican Party or a candidate who is unopposed in the Republican primary after the filing deadline for that office. In those states where state law establishes a nonpartisan primary in which Republican candidates could participate, but in which the general election may not include a Republican candidate, the candidate endorsed by a convention held under the authority of the state Republican Party shall be recognized by the Republican National Committee as the Republican nominee.
(b) No state Republican Party rule or state law shall be observed that allows persons who have participated or are participating in the selection of any nominee of a party other than the Republican Party, including, but not limited to, through the use of a multiparty primary or similar type ballot, to participate in the selection of a nominee of the Republican Party for that general election. No person nominated in violation of this rule shall be recognized by the Republican National Committee as the nominee of the Republican Party from that state."

Will Mitt Romney go 3rd Party if Ron Paul wins?

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately is that there is a tremendous Military Industrial Complex in this country and its effects on the election process are readily apparent. Last night’s GOB debate on CNN made this abundantly clear as the hacks from the war policy institutes asked ridiculous questions like “Our loving overlords have stopped 41 terrorist attacks since 9/11 thanks to the Patriot Act…” etc. It was really just a sickening show.
Let’s just say though, that Ron Paul is able to triumph over all of the money being thrown into this campaign by the defense contractors like Boeing, Haliburton, etc and win the Republican Nomination. From the polling in Iowa, it looks like he might take that caucus and be off to a good start, so it can happen. If Ron Paul does win Iowa, then New Hampshire, it will look to most people like he may indeed win the nomination. At that point some of the other candidates are sure to drop out, but Mitt Romney has the money to persist and he’s shown the willingness to do that in 2008, and he’s got the Neo-Con establishment behind him.
At that point, in a Ron Paul vs Mitt Romney primary season, you will have three distinct groups running for president:

The Democratic Socialists will try to elect Barack Obama
The Corporatist Neocons will try to elect Mitt Romney
The every day, freedom loving American will try to elect Ron Paul

So let’s say that Ron Paul triumphs over Mitt Romney and it becomes clear that he is going to be the Republican nominee. At that point, what will the Neocons do? They have plenty of money, they have plenty of policy institutes, and they have plenty of voters who are fooled to believing in them. Will they just give up? Will they support Obama? (The defense contractors already donate to both parties, by the way) Or, will Mitt Romney run as a third party?

Think about it, he has the backing and the money. He has the major media outlets – they’ve been cheering for him all along. What will he call himself? Will he run as a Neoconservative? Will he run as a Tea Party candidate? Or will he simply run as an independent?
I think it would be a very interesting election season indeed if we had a three way run for President between Obama, Romney, and Paul.

I don't know about you, but I believe there is something wrong with a government that adds over 4.1 BILLION dollars to its national debt every day.

Spending is out of control. I hope you agree this is a problem.

What do those two things have in common? Both of them required the budget to be in balance in less than 5 years.

I am happy to announce that I have introduced a full budget plan in the US Senate to do just that.

TO CUT four cabinet agencies, including the Department of Education.

TO CAP welfare and medicaid programs, block grant them, and send them back to the states.

TO BALANCE in its 5th year, with years 6-10 in surplus.

My plan spends trillions less than both the President's laughable budget and the House-passed Ryan budget, which does not go far enough in controlling spending.
