Some people may say: "there are worse sins than pagan holidays---what about abortion, murder, stealing, homosexuality etc.?"

My response:

All of the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20 are listed in accordance to their severity in Yah's eyes. The first commandment is "I am YHWH your Elohim, thou shalt not have any other gods before me." The second commandment is "thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image."

We can rationalize that we don't have other gods before him all we want. But think about what King Jeroboam did. He became a "god" unto himself. He invented his own pagan holidays in different months (not according to Yah's instructions), and it says in 1st Kings 12, that he devised these holy days "after his own wicked heart." In doing this, he also erected a golden calf at Mount Ephraim & Dan. Hence, the 1st and 2nd Commandments were broken with the invention of these "self appointed" pagan holidays. When mankind presumes to make up their own "holy days" they are becoming a "god" unto themselves and hence they are breaking the 1st Commandment: "I am YHWH your Elohim, thou shalt have no other gods before me."

When the Papacy invented Christmas & Easter in the 5th Century, they acted rebelliously against YHWH and presumed to be "God" by changing the scriptures. Once men do this, they have no problem committing murder, homosexuality, stealing and on and on. All of the other sins stem from breaking that very first one!

When the Arch-Angel Lucifer declared in his heart " ....I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High"  (Isaiah 14:14) , he committed no act of murder, homosexuality, or theft. He merely thought in his heart to usurp the authority of the Most High Elohim, YHWH. In this one act of high treason, he broke all of the rest of the commandments. The highest act of treason is to reject the Lordship and ruler-ship of YHWH. Once we reject his leadership over us, then it is easy to break the other commandments. That is why the pagan holidays are the highest act of treason, because they seek to make man worship "another god" under the guise of it being for "Jesus." But in reality, Satan has tricked people by having them worship him unawares through these pagan holidays.

In Deuteronomy 12, YHWH said (my paraphrase): "Do not learn to worship me the same way that the pagans worship their gods and then say that you are doing it for me---this is an Abomination."

29 When the Lord your God goes ahead of you and destroys the nations and you drive them out and live in their land,

30 do not fall into the trap of following their customs and worshiping their gods. Do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations worship their gods? I want to follow their example.’

31 You must not worship the Lord your God the way the other nations worship their gods, for they perform for their gods every detestable act that the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods.

32 So be careful to obey all the commands I give you. You must not add anything to them or subtract anything from them.

29 When YHWH thy Elohim shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

31 Thou shalt not do so unto YHWH thy Elohim: for every abomination to YHWH, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

The following is a quote from Dr. Herbert Lockyer, DD, DLrrr:

"In these days of national apostasy and international strife, the preacher could not do better than live near the book of Jeremiah, which has as it's dominant note, true religion in heart, life, church, and nation."

Jeremiah was born a priest but became a prophet by the divine call of YHWH. He felt he was not mature enough to function as a prophet. What sorrow and anguish must have been his to know that if Israel would not turn from their traditions and seek the face of Yah, that Yah would have no choice but to destroy them. The frustration that must have been his to tell the truth as Yah told him, to have it thrown back in his face as one who was a hate-monger. To see the massive permissiveness on a national scale must have left him in near total despair. What a temptation it must have been for him to turn and run the other way. It is however we find that Jeremiah could not elude his destiny and he did not shrink from it.

What was Jeremiah's message, and what was it about the message brought him many enemies?

Jeremiah's message begins with Jeremiah 2:13 that says that Yah's people have committed two sins: (1) We have forsaken the living water, and (2) dug wells, broken and dry wells that cannot hold water.

In Jeremiah 4:22 Yah calls us FOOLS. He calls us senseless children that have no understanding and no desire to get any sense or understanding. He calls us skilled in doing evil, and we lack the knowledge to do good. Jeremiah 5:1 challenges us to find one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth.

In Jeremiah 7 he gets down to "root" the of their national apostasy that was rampant in his time as well as modern day.

Several times in my last place of work the chaplain spoke of "Hiding behind masks". Maybe, we the American people, need to hear the same message.

As the statement by Thomas Carlyle suggest we have been deceived by the transitory semblance of the truth. The truth has been twisted, combined with lies to separate us from reality.

Jeremiah 7 begins with a direct warning from Yah. Yah warns us to reform our ways and our actions. Malachi warns the same thing but the people responded as if they did nothing wrong.

So one must ask what did YHWH mean when He said in Jeremiah 7:3 to "reform your ways"  and "your actions"? The KJV has it written, "Amend your ways and your doings." The word amend in Hebrew is yatab. This word is translated in several English words including amend, diligent, earnestly, and "be accepted."Amend in this case is the diligent and earnest effort of removing the faults or errors of by adding or deleting.

The next word is "ways". The Hebrew word is derek. This is translated trodden path, custom, highway, journey, manner, or way. Custom is defined as a common tradition so long established that it has the force or validity of law. Tradition is nothing more than unwritten religious precepts. The word "doings" (maalal) is any doing, endeavor, work, or invention. An invention is something fabricated that was previously unknown.

So what does Jeremiah 7:3 say to us?

IF YOU DILIGENTLY AND EARNESTLY ADD YAH'S TRADITIONS AND TRUTHS AND DELETE THOSE FABRICATED AND UNWRITTEN RELIGIOUS PRECEPTS THEN YOU WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Yah continues his warning in Jeremiah 18:11. He states that he frames evil against us and devises a device against those who will not listen. When He frames evil listen to what Psalm 94:16-23 and Isaiah 29:13-21 have to say about those who will not check their traditions against HIS WAYS!

THE MESSAGE: IF YOU TURN AWAY FROM THE FABRICATED AND UNWRITTEN RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS AND PRECEPTS THAT HAVE NO BIBLICAL AUTHORITY THEN I WILL RELENT!

The prophet Amos also warned Israel of the judgment that was coming because of their pagan holidays that they invented under the leadership of King Jeroboam:

Amos 5:

18 Woe unto you that desire the day of YHWH! to what end is it for you? the day of YHWH is darkness, and not light.

19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

20 Shall not the day of YHWH be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith YHWH, whose name is The Elohim of hosts.

Amos 7:

8 And YHWH said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said YHWH, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:

9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.

What did King Jeroboam do that brought him under judgment? In order to get the full picture, we must go back to 1st Kings 12. In this chapter, we learn that after David's son Solomon died, the Two Kingdoms of Israel were divided. There was the Northern Kingdom of Israel under King Jeroboam and he had 10 Tribes underneath him. And then there was the Southern Kingdom of Judah under King Rehoboam and he had the 2 tribes of Judah & Benjamin underneath him.

King Jeroboam was affraid that the other 10 tribes would obey the commandment of YHWH by visiting Jerusalem 3 times per year to keep the Feasts of YHWH outlined in Leviticus 23. He reasoned to himself, that if these Israelites visited Jerusalem 3 times per year to honor the Feasts of YHWH, that they would come under the leadership of King Rehoboam and thus they would forsake him. In order to avoid this, King Jeroboam made up other pagan holidays that deviated from the Torah or instructions of YHWH:

1st Kings 12:

27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of YHWH at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.

28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.

30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.

31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.

32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.

33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

As you can see here, King Jeroboam devised pagan holidays from his "own heart" and made up holidays that deviated from the Torah of YHWH! This is precisely what the Papacy has done in Christianity and now the United States of America is set for judgement because we have standardized these pagan holidays of Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Halloween and made them "National Holidays."

What is so bad about these holidays?

In Mark 7:13, Yahu'shua tells us that the traditions of men make the word of YHWH Elohim ineffective in our lives. If abandoning these traditions of men will cause the word of Yah to become more effective in our lives, then we must abandon Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine’s Day and every other vestige of sun god worship that has been “dressed up” to appear “Christian.” We must go back to the Feasts ordained by YHWH which commemorate our Messiah, and we must renounce the pagan holidays that are celebrated in the church today. All of these pagan practices are to commemorate Nimrod and the many supposed reincarnated sun gods, as illustrated below on the pagan sabbath wheel:

March 21st-March 25th (Pope changed to Passover week to confuse with Christ)

3.) Beltane (Mayfest): (goddess of fertility/Mary) May 1st

4.) Midsummer Solstice (First Day of Summer): June 21st (Catholics call it St. John’s Day)

5.) Lugnasad (Catholic Mary’s Ascension): August 1st-August 15th

6.) Mabon (First Day of Autumn):  September 21st

7.) Samhain (Halloween): Catholic “All-Saints Day” and “All-Souls Day” October 31st

8.) Yule (Christmas): birthday of false Christ: December 21st-December 25th

The “Yule” Wheel is a pagan representation of all the annual celebrations offered up to the pagan sun god and moon goddess in their many different “reincarnated” forms. The wheel has eight segments signifying “eight pagan Sabbaths” each year. Notice the five pointed star of witchcraft also called the “Eastern Star.” The star is within a circle representing the sun god, Baal.

This is the Pagan Yule Wheel used by witches and Wiccans. You will notice that all of these pagan feasts are on important “Christian” holidays. Yule is Christmas; Ostara is Easter; Beltane is Mayfest; Imbolic is Saint Valentine’s Day; Lughnasadh is the “Assumption of Mary” in the Catholic Church; Samhain is “All-Saints” Day or Halloween.

‘Tis the Season

Many superstitions and pagan philosophies have been baptised into the church and occupy a prominent place in modern theology; pagan traditions, practices, and symbols that can all be traced back to idolatrous Babylon, have crept into the church and have been concealed by new names. But let’s go back even farther than ancient Babylon in tracing this apostasy. “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.” Revelation 12:7,8. Here we are told of Satan’s rebellion in heaven and his consequent defeat He was defeated and cast to this earth and through the centuries has succeeded in deceiving the whole world. Satan’s name used to be Lucifer, which means day star (Isaiah 14:12, margin). How many stars can you see in the daytime? There is just one. It is that great luminous body called the sun. It is the day star of this earth. Since Satan does not appear in person, he has turned men’s attention to the worship of the sun, the greatest, the most powerful, luminous body in the visible universe. Therefore, sun worship forms a part of most heathen religions. The devil has worked through the great isms of our world to deceive millions. One of those isms is heathenism. In fact, Satan holds more captives in heathenism than in any other ism to day. An inherent desire to worship God was instilled in man at creation. But Satan has perverted this desire and has led man to worship the sun instead of the God who created it. Well-Meaning Christians No doubt there are many well-meaning Christian people, who have been taught, and therefore believe, that Easter, Christmas, and Sunday are biblical institutions, established by Christ, and kept by the apostles, and hence are very sacred. It is not our intention in this article to unsettle any of God’s children on what is truth or bring undue unhappiness to such who are enjoying their religious belief; but as true happiness only comes to “the man whom God correcteth,” and who does not “weary of his correction”; therefore, let us ever be ready to receive correction, “for whom the Lord loveth he correcteth.” Job 5:17; Proverbs 3:11,12. Nimrod Heathen philosophy claims that when Nimrod, the great-grandson of Noah, died, he was immortalized and his spirit took possession of the sun, where he is dwelling as the sun god. The initial” t” for Tammuz was always considered the symbol of sun worship. Semiramis Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod, became a great queen; and in order that the people would love her, she told them that she would take possession of the moon after she died, just as her husband Nimrod had taken possession of the sun Semiramis never remarried after the death of Nimrod, but a few years later, she gave birth to a son, Tammuz, on the 25th day of December. This great queen claimed that this son was miraculously conceived by the spirit of her dead husband Nimrod. After the death of Semiramis she was revered by the pagans as the Mother of God and the Queen of Heaven. Her son “Tammuz” was called the Son of God, and worshipped in different lands under various names. He was commonly called Zoroaster, meaning the seed of the woman. You can see how the devil was counterfeiting the Trinity, and counterfeiting the birth of Christ, counterfeiting the miraculous conception of Jesus by producing a false god and a false mother and son combination. Tammuz Tammuz was considered the “son of the sun. The first letter of his name T was ever afterwards considered the symbol of sun worship. Sun worshippers offered to their sun god human sacrifice, which was upon a wooden cross-the initial T of the name Tammuz. Sun Worship The origin and character of sun worship was, and always will be, pagan. By whatever name or whatever form the son was worshipped, there was always a female divinity associated with it. As the sun was the great god, the supreme lord, and as he exerted his mortal glorious powers of production, it was held to be the most acceptable worship for his devotees to employ themselves and their power. When God established His worship with the children of Israel in the very midst of the sun-worshipping nations surrounding them, He required His people to make the door of the tabernacle (or temple) always toward the east, in order that all who worship the Lord would in so doing turn their backs upon the rising sun and its worship; and that whosoever joined in the worship of the sun had first to turn his back upon the Lord. But even though the Lord was so careful in His dealing with His children, yet Israel did apostatise from Him, turned their backs towards the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east and worshipped the sun toward the east (Ezekiel 8:16). Sunday came from this sun worship and was dedicated to the sun god. It was on this day that the worst sun-worship features were practiced. The origin and character of Sunday, like sun worship, was, is, and always will be pagan. No matter how this child of paganism is dressed up so as to make it look like a Christian festival, it is pagan in both origin and character. Sunday is the wild, solar holiday of all pagan times. But on contrary, the Lord has given His children a rest day He furnished the earth with the fullness thereof, and made the Sabbath rest for His children. Which will we observe? The child of paganism or God’s seventh day Sabbath? Christmas Christmas, or Christ-Mass, has become one of the leading holy days in the world today. But the 25th of December is not the birthday of Jesus – it is the birthday of Tammuz The Bible says that the shepherds were with their flocks; and shepherds were never with their sheep on the hills in the winter Jesus must have been born at a warmer season Nobody really knows when he>us was born. The Bible does not reveal the date of His birth. Rather, it was the birthday of the pagan sun god; hut the Church of Rome started calling it the birthday of Christ, the Son of the true God People have been taught to trample on God’s holy day, the Seventh-day Sabbath, but at the same time to reverence a day that is totally pagan in origin. We have now traced the origin of heathen customs that have crept into Christianity (such as the worship on Sunday, in reverence to the Sun-god, and also Christmas, worship of the birthday of Tammuz who was the sup-posed reincarnation of Nimrod-the Sun-god). In the early centuries, Christianity tried to win the pagans over to their religion. But, instead of revealing to them the power of the Gospel as the Apostles did, they just baptised the pagans together with their false worship and incorporated their festivals into Christianity. Let us now take a brief look at Lent and Faster. Lent and Easter Tammuz, the supposed son of Nimrod, was also a great hunter. But while yet quite a young man, he was killed by a wild boar, in the spring of the year. This caused much weeping throughout the whole kingdom. The forty days before the time of the celebration for the moon were set apart as the days for weeping. Especially did the women take a lead in this weeping for Tammuz. We would be amazed if we knew of all the traditions that have been handed down from paganism and have been baptised into the Christian Church. Lent, which was a season of weeping forty days for Tammuz, is one of those traditions that have been handed down to Christianity today. Dr. Hislop says: “The forty days’ abstinence of Lent was directly borrowed from the worshippers of a Babylonian goddess. Such a lent of forty days, in the spring of the year, is still observed by Yezidis or Pagan Devil-worshippers of Koordistan. Such a lent of forty days was held in spring by the Pagan Mexicans. Such a lent of forty days was ob-served in Egypt.”-The Two BabyIons, pp.104,105. In Christian churches to-day, solemn services are conducted during this forty-day period, climaxing on Easter Sunday. Semiramis was also worshipped under the names of Ashtaroth, Ishtar, Astarte and was also associated with the worship of Dianna of the Ephesians. It is from the names Ishtar or Astarte that our modern name of Faster is derived. How was the date of the feast of Astarte, or Semiramis, determined? Counting back nine months from the 25th of December, or the birthday of Tammuz, brings us to the month of March. In order to make this feast always occur on a Sunday, or the sun’s day, it was decided that Tammuz (the in-carnation credited to Nimrod the sun-god) was conceived the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of Spring. And friends, that is exactly how the date for Easter Sunday is still determined today. It has nothing to do with the actual crucifixion date of Jesus. Originally, this was the day that was set apart in honour of Semiramis, as Astarte; and it became a festival of great licentiousness, the most acceptable offering being virginity. Yes, this is the origin of our Easter Sunday. Many do not realise that the Bible mentions these pagan customs. Ezekiel tells of Israel, the people of God, weeping for Tammuz. “Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in. the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth. He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, 0 son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, 0 son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations, which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have re-turned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.” 8:12-18 “The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.” Jeremiah 7:18 Here they are making cakes or buns to the Queen of Heaven. This practice continues down to our day, for at Easter time, all the world makes and eats buns commonly called Hot Cross Buns. The Third Angel’s Message The warning of the third angel is against the worship of the beast and his image. All such as give homage or reverence unto the mandates of this beast or his image shall drink of the wrath of God, which we find to be the seven last plagues. To give homage or reverence unto the mandates of the beast is the very worship against which we are warned in this message. No man can claim he is worshipping God while he himself is still hanging in the balance concerning the mandates of the beast and his image. No church can claim to be giving the third angel’s message while the leaders and laity are trying to bolster up any of the mandates of the beast and his image. Amen. Loved the article but there is an easy way to determine the actual birth of Yeshua/Jesus. Most of the information is found in Luke chapter 1. Luke 1:36 tells us that Mary became pregnant 6 months after Elizabeth. Luke 1:56 tells us Mary stayed with Elizabeth for 3 more months – putting Elizabeth to a full 9 months. But we find that Mary left her at this time. Why? Luke 2:41 tells us it was to attend Passover. When is Passover? SPRING. Which puts Christ’s birth 6 months later. Late Sept or Oct. So, if you want to celebrate Christ’s birth, guess what, there is already a true holy day in place for that. It’s called Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles. One theological facet of this feast is the idea of God tabernacling/communing with mankind. So Jesus/Yeshua being born at this time is in harmony with the theme of the feast – God with us (Emmanuel).

The Lord is calling His people back to the original Way and that they that are disobeying His 10 Laws will once again abide in them. People are confused about the Law & Grace issue. Who is Santa Claus?

The Christmas spirit seems to pervade the air. Colored lights! Decorated trees and homes! People dressed in holiday styles are bustling in the shops and buying their gifts. Everyone cheerful, for “tis the season to be merry.” Even many Christians, celebrate Christmas. Should we take part in the Christmas celebration? Does Bible prophecy say anything about Santa Claus? Christ warns us what will happen in our day, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Could Santa Claus, be a false prophet who is trying to deceive God’s people? Perhaps you think,” That is ridiculous. Santa is an innocent, mythical character who makes Christmas fun for our children.” Lucifer, the mightiest angel that stood next to God was thrown out of heaven because he wanted to be like God. “For thou has said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Since his fall, Satan has been exalting himself and trying to eclipse God from our view. Notice that he sits in the sides of the north. Could it be that Satan has used Santa Claus as his agent and exalted him in the minds of people like the most High? Let us consider the ways that Santa Claus attempts to imitate Christ. SANTA’S APPEARANCE VS. CHRISTS APPEARANCE Santa has curly white hair and twinkling eyes. Christ has white hair and eyes like fire. “His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were like as a flame of fire.” 2 Santa wears a red suit. Christ comes in a vesture dipped in blood. Revelation 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”3 SANTA’S RESIDENCE VS. CHRIST’S RESIDENCE Santa comes from the North Pole. Christ’s throne is on the sides of the north. “Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.”4 Santa lives in a sparkling palace where he is served by elf’s. Christ lives in mount Zion where thousands of angels serve and worship Him. “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.”5 SANTA’S CHARACTER VS. CHRISTS CHARACTER Santa is all powerful. Christ is Omnipotent. Santa is supposed to have infinite power and he defies natural laws. “He violates gravity with the help of eight tiny reindeer. He carries a seemingly infinite load of presents – enough for all the children of the world- in the finite space of his sleigh. Although he is quite wide, he slides through narrow spaces and passes through smoke and flames with hardly a singe. In children’s eyes Santa can certainly do more than Daddy and Mommy. He looks more like God than anyone else.”6 The bible clearly states that God is the only Omnipotent One. “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”7 “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Santa is all-knowing. Christ is Omniscient. Santa claims to know everything. “The song “Santa Claus is Coming’ to Town” is supposed to evoke awe and at least an attempt at good behaviour right before Christmas because: “He sees you when you’re sleeping; He knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good, So be good for goodness sake.’” 8 The Psalmist tells us that only our Creator is all-knowing. “O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.”9 Santa appears in every house around the world on the same night. Christ is Omnipresent through His Spirit. “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee.” 10 Santa does no wrong. Christ is the only righteous One. Have you ever heard anyone talking about Santa’s character faults? Tradition has painted him as faultless. The Scriptures tell us that “we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”11 There is only One righteous Being, “O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee…. for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth.” 12 SANTA’S MISSION VS. CHRIST’S MISSION Santa acts as a judge. Christ is our judge. A song about Santa Claus says, “He’s making a list, going to find out who’s naughty and nice.” The Bible teaches that Christ is our judge. “and I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” 13 Santa gives gifts based on good actions. Christ gives us salvation by faith. “For by grace are ye saved through faith;”14 This faith works by love and helps us obey God’s commandments. “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” 15 SANTA’S KINGSHIP VS. CHRIST KINGSHIP Santa is a King. Christ is the king of the Universe. Santa is an unrivalled being. he is unique and has no equal. The Word of God tells us that God is the only Being in the universe who is unique and unequalled. “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.” 16 Santa sits on a royal throne. Christs sits on the eternal throne in the Most Holy Place. “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou has loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even they God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” 17 SANTA AND THE CHILDREN VS. CHRIST AND THE CHILDREN Santa picks up the children and puts them on his lap. Christ invites the children to come to Him. “And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” 18 Santa asks the children to confess their wrongs to him. Christ is the only One to whom we should confess our sins. “For there is one God, and no mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 19 “And if any man sin, ewe have an advocate with the Father, Jesus “Christ the righteous.”20 Santa tells children to obey their parents. Christ commands children to honor their parents. “Honour thy father and thy mother: that the days may be long upon the land which the Lord they God giveth thee.”21 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.”22 SANTA’S COMING VS. CHRISTS COMING Santa comes sometime after midnight. Christ’s second coming may be around midnight. “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet him.”23 Santa’s sleigh is led by reindeer. Christ comes in a chariot led by angels. “For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.” 24 Santa comes in the fog on Christmas Eve. Christ will come in the clouds. “Behold he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him.”26 All around the country can be seen replicas of Santa. The second commandment forbids idolatry. “Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image.” 27 Santas famous laugh is, “Ho-ho-ho, Merry Christmas.” Christ tells us, Ho! Ho! Come forth and flee from the land of the north.” 28 The land of the north refers to Babylon. ” Nations and peoples today, unconscious of their origin, are perpetuating Babylonian religious customs when they celebrate Christmas with feasting, lighted candles, holly and mistletoe.” 29 “The three-gold Ho-ho-ho sounds like the three fold “Holy, holy, holy” that the angels speak as they stand in awe before God’s throne. “And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” 30 As thousands of families prepare their children to meet Santa Claus, what will you do? Will you spending this time to prepare your children to meet Christ their Maker? Satan is using Santa Claus to mock Christ and to divert Christians from getting ready to meet their Lord. Confused Catholic White House Shooter Says He's Jesus

An Idaho man charged with trying to kill President Obama claims he is the second coming of Jesus Christ.



Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez was arraigned Thursday in Pittsburgh. He allegedly fired nine shots at the White House last Friday with an assault rifle.



One bullet hit a window in the 2nd floor living quarters. The president wasn't there, and no one was hurt.



Ortega's car was found abandoned nearby shortly after the shooting; an assault rifle with a scope and nine spent shell casings were found inside. Ortega-Hernandez has been quoted as calling Mr. Obama the "Antichrist."



In a video made at Idaho State University in September, he said this about himself:



"It's not just a coincidence that I look like Jesus. I am the modern day Jesus Christ that you all have been waiting for." If convicted of attempted assassination, Ortega-Hernandez could face life in prison.



In a 20-minute video posted by CBS Affiliate KBOI, Ortega-Hernandez claims to be the second coming of Christ, and talks about Nostradamus and receiving a "message through time"

For inmates at one Georgia prison, a one minute phone call could cost them five times more than they earn for a day of work.

The Correction Corporation Of America's Stewart facility, a private prison in Lumpkin, Georgia, is forcing prisoners to pay five dollars per minute to use the phone, Alternet reports (h/t ThinkProgress). The exorbitant rate would break most people's budget, but it's especially costly for inmates that the prison who make just one dollar per day to work at the facility.

Faced with huge budget shortfalls, states are increasingly relying on privatized prisons to house criminals in their state and the for-profit corporations behind those prisons are coming up with various ways to maximize revenue. The money the Stewart prison is collecting from its 2,000 prisoners to use the phone helped the prison net profits of $35 to $50 million a year, ThinkProgress reports.

Compared to the total earnings of CCA that sum may seem small, however. Last year, the private prison company raked in $1.7 billion in revenues, according to FOX Business. GEO Group, another for-profit prison corporation headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, saw $1.3 billion in revenues in 2010.

The telephone rates are just one way private prisons are maximizing revenues. To help keep their facilities stocked with inmates, the private prison industry helped to draft Arizona's tough immigration law and lobbied aggressively to get it passed, NPR reports. Indeed, while they make up only 10 percent of prisoners nationwide, according to a separate NPR report, the number of prisoners in private prisons has increased 1,600 percent from 1990 to 2009, the American Civil Liberties Union reports.

An even more controversial private prison source of income is the what federal prosecutors are calling "Kids for Cash," -- owners of private juvenile detention giving kickbacks to judges to sentence minors for benign offenses in an effort to boost revenue -- FOX Business reports. In Pennsylvania, two judges were recently sentenced to over 40 years in prison combined for accepting kickbacks from the owner of a juvenile detention center.

The judges sentenced minors for offenses that included a 10-year-old girl accidentally lighting her room on fire and a 13-year-old boy throwing food at his mother's boyfriend, according to Fox Business.

Meanwhile, government-run prisons face dire budget constraints forcing them to take unprecedented measures. A prison in Riverside, California announced that it will start charging prisoners $142.42 a day to save an estimated $3 to $5 milllion, CNNMoney reports. The Texas, thousands of prisoners are two meals a day on weekends, after the prison system made cuts to deal with budget constraints. Read more at www.huffingtonpost.com
