At this time the mark of the beast would have been past, Men have a choice to make at this time. The false Sabbath (Sunday worship) which we have identified by identifying who is the beast that issues this mark. It only make sense to identify the Beast, then you can determine what is his mark, what makes Him who he is what is his blatant claims and mind you this mark is not a tattoo on the body.

History proves these things. This time is not afar off.

FDA approval for pharmaceuticals being developed and tested that treat--and prevent--radiation sickness is years away

Despite the wide availability of potassium iodine to mitigate ingestion exposure to radioactive iodine in the air, food or beverages, there is still no magic medicine to give to people who have been—or will be—exposed to high levels of direct radiation.
But years before the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan, the U.S. government had started lobbing millions of dollars at contracts to speed the development of drugs to combat dangerous doses of ionizing radiation.
The military is "very interested in drugs that you can give before radiation or very shortly after," says Mark Whitnall, program advisor for Radiation Countermeasures at the U.S. Department of Defense's Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), which has spearheaded recent development efforts.
Aside from radiation sickness caused by nuclear attacks or accidents, anti-radiation drugs could have applications for people receiving radiation therapy for cancer, those with weakened immune systems or even for astronauts undertaking long-distance space travel.
Lethal exposures
Depending on the type of exposure, radiation can pose a wide range of health risks. Acute radiation syndrome—often called radiation sickness—is different from health effects related to contact with airborne or foodborne radioactive isotopes (including iodine 131, strontium 90 or plutonium), which are linked to more long-term issues, such as cancer.
People exposed to intense radiation emitted directly from a source such as a nuclear reactor core or weapon, as has occurred with some workers addressing the crisis at the stricken Fukushima power plant in Japan, can suffer from severe infection and gastrointestinal damage (in addition to skin burns, hair loss and other symptoms), which can lead to death within days or months.
Radiation exposure also damages bone marrow, reducing the body's supply of white blood cells and platelets. This renders people more prone to infection as well as uncontrolled bleeding. At extreme levels, it can also harm the lining of the stomach and central nervous system.
Available treatments have leaned on antibiotics to stave off infection, along with blood transfusions to replace white blood cells and platelets.
Another drug that's already out there, a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) called filgrastim (sold as Neupogen), incites the bone marrow to make more white blood cells. It is indicated for cancer patients whose counts have dropped as a result of radiation treatment and has been noted as a possible treatment for a nuclear power plant radiation emergency, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It does not, however, address the risk of excess bleeding, Whitnall says, noting that, "a loss of platelets [clotting bodies] is really a major cause of death after radiation."
So researchers have been trying to develop drugs that could target blood loss as well and radiation's other effects on the body—both before and after exposure. A prophylactic "radio-protector" for first-responders and military personnel whose work puts them in harms way would be particularly desirable.
But for many people who could unwittingly be caught up in a nuclear accident or attack, "there's a need for a mitigating agent that can be given as long as possible after the event of radiation," says Andrei Gudkov, chief scientific officer of Cleveland BioLabs a company that is currently testing one anti-radiation drug. Their drug, called CBLB502, seems to protect primates for some 48 hours after radiation exposure.
Another drug that is in the works, Ex-RAD (made by Onconova Therapeutics) has been shown to protect mice from long-term damage caused by direct radiation if given either pre- or post-exposure. They hope to make it effective if given up to 24 hours before exposure. Animal studies suggest that it can have a protective effect for exposures even weeks after a dose.
A different type of therapy, CLT-008 (made by Cellerant Therapeutics), is cell-based and administered intravenously; it promises a different type of treatment to boost white blood cells. In animal studies it was effective given as long as three to five days after radiation exposure. Although it would require more substantial medical facilities, it might be a follow-up treatment for those who were able to receive first-line meds. "You could actually triage the people and then appropriately administer this product," says Ram Mandalam, president of Cellerant. Whitnall describes it as "a bridging therapy that will allow the patient to survive for awhile, while his own immune system and blood-forming system can recover."
Ascertaining effectiveness
As tough as it is to develop these drugs, testing them can be even trickier. They can only be systematically checked for safety—not effectiveness—in people. "We can only evaluate in healthy volunteers because we cannot expose people to radiation," explains Manoj Maniar, senior vice president of product development at Onconova, which makes Ex-RAD.
Because companies cannot go around irradiating human subjects, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration allows these sorts of drugs to be tested for efficacy in two animal models—usually mice and monkeys—and for safety alone in healthy people.
So far, the human safety trials have been small: CBLB502 has been tested in about 150 people in the U.S., Ex-RAD in fewer than 100 subjects. "The results were extremely encouraging," Maniar says of the initial human Ex-RAD safety studies. "We did not see any drug-related adverse events in the trial."
With such a small pipeline to work with, Whitnall and his group try to do due diligence in assessing compounds early in the development phase. Researchers must "look for toxicity pretty early to make sure there's no show-stopper," he notes.
But the safety trials will need to be considerably larger before the drugs can be considered for approval. And as part of the modified approval process, regulators also "want to understand the mechanism of injury very well," along with how the drug itself is working, Whitnall says.
Although some of the specifics might still need to be parsed out for the FDA, researchers can already explain the basics. CBLB502 helps to trigger the release of cytokines and chemokines—involved in intracellular communication—which boosts bone marrow and gastrointestinal tract regeneration. Ex-RAD also works via intracellular communication, repairing damaged DNA and preventing cell death (apoptosis).
Disaster-ready
Despite the possible applications, millions of research dollars from the government, and fast-track status from the FDA, drugs to keep people from dying after intense radiation exposure still face additional hurdles before they are ready to distribute in the event of the next nuclear emergency.
Although Neupogen—a cancer drug—has been indicated for people exposed to extreme radiation, it has to be refrigerated and must be injected or given intravenously. And, Whitnall notes, "it does have occasional severe side effects, so it does need to be administered under the care of an MD."
In the event of a natural disaster, accident or nuclear attack, the likelihood that these supplies—and the clinical environment in which to administer them—would be easily and rapidly accessible for people in the immediate vicinity is dubious.
Nevertheless, the Defense Department "wanted an injectable form of the drug, which could be used by first responders as well as military personnel in the battlefield," Maniar says. But a pill form would be much easier to distribute on a wider scale.
CBLB502 will need to be injected because it contains a protein that would be digested in the stomach if swallowed. Gudkov notes, however, that the liquid is very stable even at high temperatures.
Likewise, Ex-RAD has only been tested in humans via injection. But researchers are working on an oral formulation. They also have a device that would make it easy for people to inject it themselves. "We have developed an auto-injector where the volunteers could self-administer to mimic a real-life scenario where people would be administering the drug by themselves," Maniar says.
Sparking investment
Pitching a medication that might be picked up by the government as a just-in-case measure does not always appeal to investors the same way a new blockbuster cholesterol drug might.
As Whitnall points out "none of these are Big Pharma," and although the government has been helping out with contracts and grants, assembling larger scale human trials to prove safety requires "a huge amount of money."
But broadening the application of some of these drugs might eventually be able to generate additional interest. As Whitnall notes, "there are a lot of patients who need their blood system stimulated."
Some of them could also find a home in cancer treatment regimens. Animal and in vitro research has shown that CBLB502 might be effective in helping to mitigate damage done to healthy cells during radiation therapy—without protecting the tumor cells. Researchers are not exactly sure why this seems to be the case. It might be that because the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB) light chain–enhancer of activated B-cell signaling—which boosts the survival of progenitor cells in bone marrow as well as a resistance to cell death (apoptosis)—is already activated in tumor cells, the drug boosts it in healthy cells but cannot increase its activity any more in the tumor cells. But more work remains to be done. And those at Onconova note that they are not currently pursuing a cancer angle with Ex-RAD because the approval process is so different from the one they are currently undertaking for radiation sickness.
And new drug candidates are cropping up all the time. As Whitnall notes, they have had to develop an initial screening program just to prioritize which compounds to test further because they "only have the funds to test one or two a year." A next step will also include trying to "increase the efficacy [by] combining drugs with different mechanisms in hopes that there is some kind of synergy."
But the drugs will first have to be shown to be safe on their own.
Whitnall, who works with several of the drugs in development through his role at the AFRRI, says that he does not want to pick favorites to guess which drug might come up for approval first. But in all likelihood it will still be at least a couple years before any of these therapies are ready to battle against the effects of gamma rays. Cleveland BioLabs is aiming to submit CBLB502 to the FDA for approval by late 2012. Onconova hopes to be able to file for agency approval for Ex-RAD in 2013 at the earliest. And Cellerant isn't expecting to have enough data together to submit its compound for at least another four years.

In 2012, they meet again in Rio but the media campaign has already kicked off. Initial recommendations have been released by participating working groups and they are comprehensive enough to give Eco-Zealots wet dreams.
“We are currently transitioning from a world of plenty into one in which the planet’s resources have been compromised in their ability to sustain our routines. We are also in a world of global economic and social multi-level governance.”

A green economy ensures fair use of ecological resources and sinks at re-generational and bio-assimilation rates. Building such an economy entails the following components:
1. Full-cost pricing: Incorporate ecological degradation into the cost of goods and services (with compensation for the poor).
2. Waste = Food: Design production to reuse all pre- and post-consumer waste as industrial or biological inputs.

This so-called ‘green economy’ is a nightmare and it has been for any nation who has tried to implement it. They intend to apply a progressive tax to carbon emissions and raise the cost of food so the consumer knows exactly the ecological damage done according to their own flawed data.
This will cripple economies and leave the people with barely enough food to eat and money in their pockets. The idea that the United Nations decide how much food and necessities are produced so we can stay in line with Malthusian scarcity models is madness and something we cannot allow to happen anywhere!!

The United Nations is not satisfied with their current influence and control over governmental affairs. They have big plans, plans such as the creation of a World Environment Organization (WEO), International Environment Court (ICE) and Global Parliament for the Environment (GPE). These organizations would wield as much power as the IMF and the WTO and bring about punishment for victimless crimes.
Imagine having to go to court because you don’t recycle. The green police infrastructure will be created piecemeal and under the radar. Being a ‘global warming denier’ could have real repercussions. The really sad fact is that they are using our taxpayer money to create a weapon against us.

The new green austerity beast doesn’t provide many jobs as the goal is to scale down economies but they have a purpose for those who are enjoying their unemployment or welfare benefits. This is something that Obama proposed when he ran for president.
In order for the new green economy to appear legit they must find Eco-Zealots to spread the gospel and they want your children. You can’t find a school in this country that is not talking about global warming and the environment. This lays the foundation for the new religion and so you don’t have any misgivings while living in a sustainable shanty town.
I’ve never seen any document that came out of the Club of Rome, UN or any non-governmental organization that clearly defines what sustainable living is. Our local government officials doesn’t know what it really means either but they will remove 30% of your towns parking space and eventually try to force you on to ‘sustainable’ public transportation. As the gas prices go up and the economy slides down you are not able to own a car, let alone able to drive it.
The EU wants to ban all motor vehicles that run on gas. As electric and gas prices spike, our wallets get thinner and thinner, our options are becoming fewer. Our freedoms are vanishing before our eyes. Most people don’t have time to notice the changes as people are busy surviving. Sustainability means barely living, barely able to sustain life. That gap between first world nations and third is narrowing faster than you’ll ever know. So much money goes into the appearance of improving the third world but instead of helping them up, they are pushing us down so we meet at the bottom.

The UN wants to govern your economy, your hopes, dreams, values and principles. Sustainable Development is a means to an end, the end of sovereignty and the end of independence.
Their flag tells it all, they have laid down the grid upon the world and the wreath means that they declare themselves to be supreme rulers like Julius Caesar. Alternative health practitioners in North Carolina (NC) and their patients need your help to defeat a stealth bill that flew under the radar of most everyone in the natural health community. Senate Bill 31, which clarifies the penalties for the “unauthorized practice of medicine,” essentially criminalizes the practice of unlicensed forms of medicine, which includes the work of many naturopaths, homeopaths, herbalists, aromatherapists, and even some midwives in the state.
The bill was adopted by a judiciary committee in early March, and it recently passed the NC Senate. Now, the NC House is set to vote on the bill tonight, and unless NC governor Bev Perdue vetoes it, the practice of natural medicine for many in NC may soon become a more severe criminal offense.
SB 31 states that anyone who practices medicine or surgery without having been first “licensed and registered to do so” will be guilty of a Class I felony. Class I felonies in NC are the least severe kinds of felonies, but they do include things like burning crosses on private or public property, and sexually exploiting children. So if passed, SB 31 will essentially make those who practice alternative medicine without an official, state-sanctioned license and permit, criminals of the likes of sexual predators and cross burners.

Proponents of the bill say it fixes a loophole in the current law that classifies out-of-state practitioners who practice without a license as Class I felons, while in-state practitioners who practice without a license are only guilty of a Class I misdemeanor. But what the bill actually appears to do is make it even harder for alternative practitioners who literally cannot be licensed in NC because their work is not “approved,” to practice at all. After all, who is going to be willing to provide alternative medical services for consenting patients when doing so makes them a felon?
SB 31 is really just another way to target alternative practitioners and reign in the practice of medicine to only that which has been approved by the government overlords. And the timeline for defeating this bill is very short. Alternative practitioners in NC, and those who safely and successfully use their services, need your help now to successfully defeat this bill.
Citizens for Healthcare Freedom (CHF), a nonprofit health freedom organization in NC, says the bill is “not in the interest of the citizens of North Carolina” because it affects many alternative practitioners who will be put out of business if it passes. The image is eerily familiar: a bearded young man with flowing curly hair. After lying for nearly 2,000 years hidden in a cave in the Holy Land, the fine detail is difficult to determine. But in a certain light it is not difficult to interpret the marks around the figure’s brow as a crown of thorns.
The extraordinary picture of one of the recently discovered hoard of up to 70 lead codices – booklets – found in a cave in the hills overlooking the Sea of Galilee is one reason Bible historians are clamouring to get their hands on the ancient artefacts.
If genuine, this could be the first-ever portrait of Jesus Christ, possibly even created in the lifetime of those who knew him.

The tiny booklet, a little smaller than a modern credit card, is sealed on all sides and has a three-dimensional representation of a human head on both the front and the back. One appears to have a beard and the other is without. Even the maker’s fingerprint can be seen in the lead impression. Beneath both figures is a line of as-yet undeciphered text in an ancient Hebrew script.
Astonishingly, one of the booklets appears to bear the words ‘Saviour of Israel’ – one of the few phrases so far translated.
The owner of the cache is Bedouin trucker Hassan Saida who lives in the Arab village of Umm al-Ghanim, Shibli. He has refused to sell the booklets but two samples were sent to England and Switzerland for testing.
A Mail on Sunday investigation has revealed that the artefacts were originally found in a cave in the village of Saham in Jordan, close to where Israel, Jordan and Syria’s Golan Heights converge – and within three miles of the Israeli spa and hot springs of Hamat Gader, a religious site for thousands of years.

According to sources in Saham, they were discovered five years ago after a flash flood scoured away the dusty mountain soil to reveal what looked like a large capstone. When this was levered aside, a cave was discovered with a large number of small niches set into the walls. Each of these niches contained a booklet. There were also other objects, including some metal plates and rolled lead scrolls.
The area is renowned as an age-old refuge for ancient Jews fleeing the bloody aftermath of a series of revolts against the Roman empire in the First and early Second Century AD.
The cave is less than 100 miles from Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and around 60 miles from Masada, scene of the last stand and mass suicide of an extremist Zealot sect in the face of a Roman Army siege in 72AD – two years after the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
It is also close to caves that have been used as sanctuaries by refugees from the Bar Kokhba revolt, the third and final Jewish revolt against the Roman Empire in 132AD.
The era is of critical importance to Biblical scholars because it encompasses the political, social and religious upheavals that led to the split between Judaism and Christianity.
It ended with the triumph of Christianity over its rivals as the dominant new religion first for dissident Jews and then for Gentiles.
In this context, it is important that while the Dead Sea Scrolls are rolled pieces of parchment or papyrus containing the earliest-known versions of books of the Hebrew Bible and other texts – the traditional Jewish format for written work – these lead discoveries are in book, or codex, form which has long been associated with the rise of Christianity.
The codices seen by The Mail on Sunday range in size from smaller than 3in x 2in to around 10in x 8in. They each contain an average of eight or nine pages and appear to be cast, rather than inscribed, with images on both sides and bound with lead-ring bindings. Many of them were severely corroded when they were first discovered, although it has been possible to open them with care.
The codex showing what may be the face of Christ is not thought to have been opened yet. Some codices show signs of having been buried – although this could simply be the detritus resulting from lying in a cave for hundreds of years.
Unlike the Dead Sea Scrolls, the lead codices appear to consist of stylised pictures, rather than text, with a relatively small amount of script that appears to be in a Phoenician language, although the exact dialect is yet to be identified. At the time these codices were created, the Holy Land was populated by different sects, including Essenes, Samaritans, Pharisees, Sadducees, Dositheans and Nazoreans.

There was no common script and considerable intermingling of language and writing systems between groups. Which means it could take years of detailed scholarship to accurately interpret the codices.
Many of the books are sealed on all sides with metal rings, suggesting they were not intended to be opened. This could be because they contained holy words which should never be read. For example, the early Jews fiercely protected the sacred name of God, which was only ever uttered by The High Priest in the Temple in Jerusalem at Yom Kippur.
The original pronunciation has been lost, but has been transcribed into Roman letters as YHWH – known as the Tetragrammaton – and is usually translated either as Yahweh or Jehovah. A sealed book containing sacred information was mentioned in the biblical Book of Revelations.
If genuine, it seems clear that these
books were, in fact, created by an early Messianic Jewish sect, perhaps
closely allied to the early Christian church and that these images
represent Christ himself.One plate has been interpreted as a schematic map of Christian Jerusalem showing the Roman crosses outside the city walls. At the top can be seen a ladder-type shape. This is thought to be a balustrade mentioned in a biblical description of the Temple in Jerusalem. Below that are three groups of brickwork, to represent the walls of the city.
A fruiting palm tree suggests the House of David and there are three or four shapes that appear to be horizontal lines intersected by short vertical lines from below. These are the T-shaped crosses believed to have been used in biblical times (the familiar crucifix shape is said to date from the 4th Century). The star shapes in a long line represent the House of Jesse – and then the pattern is repeated.
This interpretation of the books as proto-Christian artefacts is supported by Margaret Barker, former president of the Society for Old Testament Study and one of Britain’s leading experts on early Christianity. The fact that a figure is portrayed would appear to rule out these codices being connected to mainstream Judaism of the time, where portrayal of lifelike figures was strictly forbidden because it was considered idolatry.
If genuine, it seems clear that these

Feather – an authority on The Dead Sea Scrolls and author of The Mystery
Of The Copper Scroll Of Qumran – is that these books are connected to
the Bar Kokhba Revolt of 132-136AD, the third major rebellion by the
Jews of Judea Province and the last of the Jewish-Roman Wars.The
revolt established an independent state of Israel over parts of Judea
for two years before the Roman army finally crushed it, with the result
that all Jews, including the early Christians, were barred from

The followers of Simon Bar Kokhba, the commander of the revolt, acclaimed him as a Messiah, a heroic figure who could restore Israel. Although Jewish Christians hailed Jesus as the Messiah and did not support Bar Kokhba, they were barred from Jerusalem along with the rest of the Jews. The war and its aftermath helped differentiate Christianity as a religion distinct from Judaism.
The spiritual leader of the revolt was Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, who laid the foundations for a mystical form of Judaism known today as Kabbalah, which is followed by Madonna, Britney Spears and others. Yochai hid in a cave for 13 years and wrote a secret commentary on the Bible, the Zohar, which evolved into the teaching of Kabbalah. Feather is convinced that some of the text on
the codices carry the name of Rabbi Bar Yochai.
Feather says that all known codices prior to around 400AD were made of parchment and that cast lead is unknown. They were clearly designed to exist for ever and never to be opened. The use of metal as a writing material at this time is well documented – however the text was always inscribed, not cast.
The books are currently in the possession of Hassan Saida, in Umm al-Ghanim, Shibli, which is at the foot of Mount Tabor, 18 miles west of the Sea of Galilee.
Saida owns and operates a haulage business consisting of at least nine large flatbed lorries. He is regarded in his village as a wealthy man. His grandfather settled there more than 50 years ago and his mother and four brothers still live there.
Saida, who is in his mid-30s and married with five or six children, claims he inherited the booklets from his grandfather.
However, The Mail on Sunday has learned of claims that they first came to light five years ago when his Bedouin business partner met a villager in Jordan who said he had some ancient artefacts to sell.
The business partner was apparently shown two very small metal books. He brought them back over the border to Israel and Saida became entranced by them, coming to believe they had magical properties and that it was his fate to collect as many as he could.
The arid, mountainous area where they were found is both militarily sensitive and agriculturally poor. The local people have for generations supplemented their income by hoarding and selling archeological artefacts found in caves.
More of the booklets were
clandestinely smuggled across the border by drivers working for Saida –
the smaller ones were typically worn openly as charms hanging from
chains around the drivers’ necks, the larger concealed behind car and
lorry dashboards.In order to finance the purchase of
booklets from the Jordanians who had initially discovered them, Saida
allegedly went into partnership with a number of other people –
including his lawyer from Haifa, Israel.Saida’s
motives are complex. He constantly studies the booklets, but does not
take particularly good care of them, opening some and coating them in

The artefacts have been seen by multi-millionaire collectors of antiquities in both Israel and Europe – and Saida has been offered tens of millions of pounds for just a few of them, but has declined to sell any.
When he first obtained the booklets, he had no idea what they were or even if they were genuine.
He contacted Sotheby’s in London in 2007 in an attempt to find an expert opinion, but the famous auction house declined to handle them because their provenance was not known.
Soon afterwards, the British author and journalist Nick Fielding was approached by a Palestinian woman who was concerned that the booklets would be sold on the black market. Fielding was asked to approach the British Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge and other places.
Fielding travelled to Israel and obtained a letter from the Israeli Antiquities Authority saying it had no objection to their being taken abroad for analysis. It appears the IAA believed the booklets were forgeries on the basis that nothing like them had been discovered before.
None of the museums wanted to get involved, again because of concerns over provenance. Fielding was then asked to approach experts to find out what they were and if they were genuine. David Feather, who is a metallurgist as well as an expert on the Dead Sea Scrolls, recommended submitting the samples for metal analysis at Oxford University.
The work was carried out by Dr Peter Northover, head of the Materials Science-based Archaeology Group and a world expert on the analysis of ancient metal materials.
The samples were then sent to the Swiss National Materials Laboratory at Dubendorf, Switzerland. The results show they were consistent with ancient (Roman) period lead production and that the metal was smelted from ore that originated in the Mediterranean. Dr Northover also said that corrosion on the books was unlikely to be modern.
Meanwhile, the politics surrounding the provenance of the books is intensifying. Most professional scholars are cautious pending further research and point to the ongoing forgery trial in Israel over the ancient limestone ossuary purporting to have housed the bones of James, brother of Jesus.
The Israeli archeological establishment has sought to defuse problems of provenance by casting doubt on the authenticity of the codices, but Jordan says it will ‘exert all efforts at every level’ to get the relics repatriated.
The debate over whether these booklets are genuine and, if so, whether they represent the first known artefacts of the early Christian church or the first stirrings of mystical Kabbalah will undoubtedly rage for years to come.
The director of Jordan’s Department of Antiquities, Ziad al-Saad, has few doubts. He believes they may indeed have been made by followers of Jesus in the few decades immediately following his crucifixion.
‘They will really match, and perhaps be more significant than, the Dead Sea Scrolls,’ he says. ‘The initial information is very encouraging and it seems that we are looking at a very important and significant discovery – maybe the most important discovery in the history of archaeology.’
If he is right, then we really may be gazing at the face of Jesus Christ.

Someone sent America's most Muslim-hating congressman, Rep. Peter King (R - N.Y.), a package containing a bloody pig's foot—accompanied by an anti-Semitic note exhorting King to "Kiss my black Muslim ass." Time to find the congressional gift declaration form!
According to HuffPo's Michael McAuliffe, the thoughtful present was reportedly sent by a woman who appeared to take issue with Rep. King's recent hearings on the radicalization of Muslims:
"There's blood, there's the severed foot. The message refers to Mohammed, and it says all babies in America would be named Mohammed," the source said. "It also says, 'Kiss my black Muslim ass.'"
The message also referred to King as a "Jew," even though he is Catholic.
But questions remain! Can King keep his lovely new bloody pig's foot, given the House of Representatives' strict ethical guidelines? According to the House Ethics Committee's website, yes: Rep. King is permitted to accept the bloody pig's foot, provided that a) its cost is less than 50 dollars (seems likely), and b) his generous new friend is not a registered lobbyist (hmmm). Either way, he'll have to recover it from the Capitol Police and the U.S. Postal Service, who appeared to have seized it for themselves, the greedy guts.

The seaside underbrush near Oak Beach, N.Y., is basically a mass grave. After finding a fifth body near the Long Island beach community last week, authorities there redoubled their search for a missing girl and found three more over the weekend. Total body count: eight.
When local prostitute Shannan Gilbert went missing last year, the search along the beaches near Oak Beach in December turned up a startling discovery: The bodies of three women wrapped in burlap in the underbrush, all murdered, all prostitutes who advertised on Craigslist. Authorities said one of them could have been there for two years. Gilbert wasn't among them, but police believe she was in the area on a call when she disappeared: The last time police thing she was seen alive was when a woman believed to be Gilbert awoke an Oak Beach resident at 4:45 a.m. pleading for help. Gilbert fled when the resident called the police.
Another body was found last week along Gilgo Beach, about a mile away from the first stash. Police haven't released the gender of that body or the cause of death, but they started searching the area harder and found another three sets of remains as of today. Oak Beach is a gated community on Jones Beach Island, a barrier island between Long Island and the Atlantic Ocean. It's about a third of the way between New York City and the Hamptons.

A major construction project has begun around the West Wing of the White House, shrouding a "expanding and sometimes earsplitting zone of excavation" with plywood fences. This "overdue upgrade of underground utilities," according to the AP, will take years to complete.
So if you haven't guessed by now, what Obama's really doing is building a secret tunnel leading to a new underground lair where he'll sacrifice small white children to the Devil and smoke cigarettes. The government would deny this, meaning it's true.
A mysterious tunnel is being built, too.
Crews have poured huge concrete pylons, erected retaining walls and brought in truckloads of steel I-beams. The construction site has expanded from in front of the West Wing around to the side and across a parking lot to the next-door Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
Inevitably, the work has fueled speculation that what's really being built is some secret, new underground lair.
Fresh inquiries by The Associated Press to the General Services Administration, which is supervising the work, have elicited denials.
A spokesperson said "it's not a new shelter - just a means of maintaining access to the utilities." As if construction workers need "access" to the specific things that they're working on. Implausible, at best.

As plague of gibberish sweeps North America's TV personalities—from Judge Judy's linguistic meltdown to Serene Branson's migraine to Sarah Carlson's seizure to Mark McAllister speaking in tongues—intrepid British spaz rag The Daily Mail asks, is a government conspiracy afoot?
A popular theory being circulated online blames the U.S. Military's supposed research into using microwaves as a mind control weapon.
America has never admitted conducting such research but proponents say the effects - produced by microwave signals stimulating the brain with fake images and voices—exactly mimic those displayed in the recent on-air breakdowns.
As to why the Pentagon might be targeting U.S. television presenters, the microwave theorists are less clear.
I was unable to find a single conspiracy theory on the topic that sourced anyone other than the Daily Mail. (And even then, they mostly ridiculed the Mail: "SO NOW THEY ARE PLANTING THE SEED IN ALLTHE SHEEPLES MINDS SO THEY WILL PISS THEIR PANTIES AND OBEY," wrote one winged messenger.) If we are seeing more gibberish-speaking reporters than usual these days, it's clearly because the sample is biased blurf diddly grump whumminah hurmph gasp thrullah badaboo I shall now harvest your brains.
