Last week faux conservative and shameless self-promoter Ann Coulter went on the Bill O’Reilly Show and said “radiation is good for you” in response to questions about the Fukushima nuclear reactors (see video below).

She claimed that a growing body of evidence shows exposure to high levels of harmful radiation actually reduces cancer.

On her website, Coulter wrote an article entitled A glowing report on radiation, in which she wrote: “With the terrible earthquake and resulting tsunami that have devastated Japan, the only good news is that anyone exposed to excess radiation from the nuclear power plants is now probably much less likely to get cancer.”

She declared “excess radiation operates as a sort of cancer vaccine.”

On his nationally syndicated radio show today, Alex Jones offered to foot the bill and send Ms. Coulter to Fukushima where she might deliver a speech on the benefits of radiation.

Let’s encourage Coulter to take Alex up on his offer. She can be reached through Premiere Speakers Bureau.

Send Coulter a message and encourage her not to miss this opportunity to defend her ideas.

Liberty Dollar ‘architect’ convicted

COMMENT: This alternative, voluntary gold & silver currency may be controversial, but it seems incomprehensible that it could be deemed illegal on grounds of resembling Federal Reserve paper notes. Don’t the Feds know we abandoned the gold standard back in the 70s? It is even more outrageous for these attorneys to term the convicted man as a participating in “a unique form of domestic terrorism.” More evidence that the phony War on Terror is waged against the American people rather than on shadowy men in turbans seeking jihad.

Man convicted of creating counterfeit U.S. currency

March 21, 2011

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A North Carolina man was convicted for creating and distributing a counterfeit currency that was very similar to the real dollar, a U.S. Attorney said.

Bernard von NotHaus, 67, minted Liberty Dollar coins in the value of $7 million dollars. The conviction concludes an investigation that was started in 2005.

Attempts to undermine the legitimate currency of this country are simply a unique form of domestic terrorism,” Anne Tompkins, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, said in a statement on Friday.

“While these forms of anti-government activities do not involve violence, they are every bit as insidious and represent a clear and present danger to the economic stability of this country,” she said.

Canadians still go to US for healthcare

Broker: Canadians still flee to U.S. for healthcare
Chris Woodward - OneNewsNow

Healthcare costThe Obama administration may not like the current state of U.S. healthcare, but Canadians do.

A number of middle-class Canadians are looking south as a way to avoid waiting for urgent and sometimes life-saving procedures. According to Lisa Priest of The Globe & Mail (Canada), much of it has to do with the sluggish economy and a stronger Canadian dollar.

Rick Baker, a Canadian healthcare broker, agrees with Priest that price is an issue, but he says many patients are focused on access.

Richard Baker (Timely Med. Alternatives, Canada)"We [in Canada] get healthcare for free, [so] you would wonder why people would pay willingly to go south, but the reason is we don't have any access," the broker says.

Baker tells OneNewsNow that he often tells people it reminds him of stories on Stalinist Russia, where bread was "free" -- and one only had to get in line and wait.

"And I imagine there were lots of people who were willing to pay to get the bread faster on the black market in Russia, just as there are people in Canada who are cheerfully willing to pay to get better access in the U.S.," comments Baker.

So how much are Canadians willing to pay? An open-heart surgery can be done for as little as $16,000 cash. Hip and knee replacements have been negotiated to less than $19,000. Canadian patients paying upfront means less paperwork, one of the reasons U.S. healthcare is so costly.

Baker offers the same opportunities to uninsured or impoverished Americans in the U.S.

ICE Attorney Sentenced for Taking Bribes

Government Attorney Sentenced to Nearly 18 Years in Prison for Taking Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars in Bribes From Immigrants Seeking Status in U.S.

LOS ANGELES—A senior attorney with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was sentenced this morning to 212 months in federal prison for taking nearly one-half million dollars in bribes from immigrants who were promised immigration benefits that would allow them to remain in the United States.

ICE Assistant Chief Counsel Constantine Peter Kallas, 40, of Alta Loma, received the 17⅔-year sentence from United States District Judge Terry J. Hatter Jr.

In addition to the prison term, Judge Hatter ordered Kallas to pay $296,865 in restitution after fraudulently receiving worker’s compensation benefits.

“Mr. Kallas has received one of the longest sentences ever seen in a public corruption case,” said United States Attorney André Birotte Jr. “Mr. Kallas took in hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes—money he obtained by exploiting his knowledge of the immigration system. The lengthy sentence reflects the seriousness of the crimes, which were a wholesale violation of the public trust.”

Following a three-week trial, a federal jury in April 2010 convicted Kallas of three dozen felony counts—conspiracy, six counts of bribery, two counts of obstruction of justice, seven counts of fraud and misuse of entry documents, three counts of aggravated identity theft, nine counts of making false statements to the Department of Labor, four counts of making false statements to obtain federal employee compensation, and four counts of tax evasion.

“This case presents an epic display of a public official’s greed,” prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum filed with the court.

“As a corrupt prosecutor, [Kallas] calculatingly terrorized the idea of justice and the concept of public service,” the memorandum continued. “[Kallas] carried out his crime scheme through elaborate forms of manipulation, lies, and obstructive conduct.”

Kallas has been in a federal jail since August 2008, about two months after he was arrested by special agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highland, California. Kallas was arrested after he took a $20,000 bribe from an immigrant during an incident that was captured on casino surveillance cameras and shown to the jury.

The June 2008 bribe was the last in a series of incidents in which Kallas and his wife, Maria, told illegal aliens that Kallas was an immigration official—either an immigration judge or some other type of high-level immigration official—and that Kallas could obtain immigration benefits for the aliens in exchange for bribes.

Steven Martinez, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI in Los Angeles, stated: “Today’s lengthy sentence fits the significant crimes committed by Mr. Kallas and will undoubtedly deter others planning to abuse government power. Mr. Kallas was entrusted to help immigrants abide by the law, but instead he enabled them in breaking the law by greedily taking advantage of their desperation.”

During a five-year period that ended with his arrest, the Kallases accepted payments from aliens that totaled at least $425,854.

Kallas took bribes from some illegal aliens who were offered “jobs” at companies Kallas and his wife had set up. As part of the scheme, Kallas filed fraudulent labor condition applications with the Department of Labor that falsely claimed the companies had offered employment to the aliens.

On December 16, 2006, Kallas appeared in immigration court and, without any authorization, used his position as an immigration prosecutor to ask a judge to dismiss removal proceedings against an immigrant.

Kallas misused the identities of several real persons by, among things, putting their names on fraudulent documents or on nominee bank accounts used to hide money from the Internal Revenue Service.

In some cases, Kallas attempted to solve immigrants’ problems by simply making their files disappear. When investigators searched the Kallas residence in June 2008, they discovered a hidden floor safe that contained more than $177,000 in cash and two dozen official immigration files.

Kallas also illegally obtained more money through workers compensation fraud and tax evasion, claiming total disability and zero income, even as he was conducting the elaborate bribery and fraud scheme.

Daniel R. Petrole, Acting Inspector General, United States Department of Labor, said: “Today’s sentencing highlights our efforts to investigate fraud against the Department of Labor. The defendant, who is a former Immigration and Customs Enforcement attorney, used shell companies to falsely petition aliens for employment visas. Moreover, he filed for full federal disability benefits for work-related injuries, yet was receiving thousands of dollars in income from his employment scheme. My office and our law enforcement partners remain committed toward combating these types of crimes.”

According to court documents, the bank records for the Kallases showed that, beyond his salary, approximately $950,000 had been deposited into the couple’s bank accounts since 2000.

“Corrupt public officials are disgraceful and reprehensible,” noted Leslie P. DeMarco, Special Agent in Charge of IRS - Criminal Investigation’s Los Angeles Field Office. “The crimes committed by Constantine Kallas—including bribery, tax evasion, obstruction of justice, false statements to government agencies, identity theft, and workers compensation fraud—violated the trust placed in him as a public official. Today’s sentencing of Mr. Kallas to 212 months in federal prison, a significant sentence by any measure, demonstrates IRS - Criminal Investigation’s resolve to bring our financial expertise to bear and vigorously investigate public officials who set aside their duty for their own personal financial gain.”

Terri Tollefson, Special Agent in Charge for the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility, West, stated: “This sentence serves as a sobering warning about the consequences of violating the public’s trust. ICE played a pivotal role in the investigation that led to these criminal charges, and we will continue to hold our employees to the highest standards of professional conduct. Guarding against illegal or unethical behavior is not an option; it is an obligation we have to the people we serve.”

Maria Kallas, 41, also of Alta Loma, pleaded guilty to conspiracy, bribery and conspiracy to commit money laundering in November 2009. United States District Judge Robert J. Timlin is scheduled to sentence her on May 2.

Kallas joined ICE’s predecessor agency in June 1998, and he has been on unpaid leave since January 2007.

The case against the Kallases was investigated by ICE’s Office of Professional Responsibility, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, IRS - Criminal Investigation, and the United States Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector General.

"We mean business" - Zbigniew Brzezinski

"We mean business" - Zbigniew Brzezinski

This morning Zbigniew Brzezinski said on NPR's Diane Remh Show that "we mean business", when referring to the goal of Operation Odyssey Dawn in Kaddaffi's Lybia. The former Jimmy Carter administration National Security Advisor, Bilderberg participant, member of the Council On Foreign Relations, and co-founder (with David Rockefeller) of the Trilateral Commission; Brzezinski is also a college professor, and an expert in geo-political matters...
What a resume?

What a line-up Diane Remh had on this morning's first hour segment? Along with Zbigniew Brzezinski, she also had Madeleine (coxxnes) Albright (Bill Clinton's Secretary of State), and Rhodes Scholar Richard Haass, the current president of the Council of Foreign Relations. The usual operatives were present on today's program; they faithfully represented the Vatican New World Order agenda (as quiet as it's kept).

No, NPR doesn't have a myopic bias when it comes to poli-tricks? Of course not they're consistent in always providing the Vatican's perspective: Ordo Ab Chao. Something that was missing from today's format was a representative from Georgetown University (a staple on the programs) or a guest from the Brookings Institution. Actually, if you have a president of the CFR, another guest who is a member of the same organization and a founder of the Trilateral Commission, plus a serving professor at Georgetown University since '82; You've covered the whole gamut of common good Cannon Law - Catholic Agenda. My mistake, I didn't consider that Ms. Albright (always wears esoteric lapel broaches) was also now a Jesuit coadjutor (represents the Jesuit/Catholic world-view).
Note: Richard Haass was a former VP, and Director of the Brookings Institution.
And yes folks, these people do mean business. Business as usual! For the greater good, of course.

Listen: Secret Libya Psyops, Caught by Online Sleuths

The U.S. military has dispatched one of its secret propaganda planes to the skies around Libya. And that “Commando Solo” aircraft is telling Libyan ships to remain in port – or risk NATO retaliation.

We know this, not because some Pentagon official said so, but because one Dutch radio geek is monitoring the airwaves for information about Operation Odyssey Dawn — and tweeting the surprisingly-detailed results. On Sunday alone, “Huub” has identified the tail numbers, call signs, and movements of dozens of NATO aircraft: Italian fighter jets, American tankers, British aerial spies, U.S. bombers, and the Commando Solo psyops plane (pictured).

“If you attempt to leave port, you will be attacked and destroyed immediately,” the aircraft broadcasted late Sunday night.

It’s the kind of information that the American military typically tries to obscure, at least until a mission is over. But Huub is just a single node in a sprawling online network that trawls the airwaves for clues to military operations.

Huub, also known online as “BlackBox” and @FMCNL, has been monitoring longer than most — more than a quarter-century. A former member of the Dutch military, he says that he’s captured the sounds of everything from Air Force One to CIA rendition flights to the travels of Yugoslavian war criminal Slobodan Mlosevic.

“I just combine the global and free information on the Internet with my local received information from the ether,” Huub e-mails Danger Room. “[My] main goal to listen to this communication is to listen to ‘the truth,’ without any military or political propaganda.”

Military aircraft have to provide basic information about their position over unencrypted, unclassified UHF and VHF radio networks; otherwise, they’d risk slamming into civilian jets in mid-air. That allows savvy listeners like Huub to use radio frequency scanners, amplifiers, and antennas to capture the communications. Some spend thousands of dollars homebrewing their own DIY listening stations. Many others – Huub included – rely on handheld gear, much of which can be ordered through Radio Shack. Huub uses the ICOM R20 receiver and the Uniden UBC-785XLT scanner, both of which retail for a little more than $500.

But the type of gear is almost secondary, Huub writes. “I do not simply listen to ATC [air traffic control] or NATO frequencies,” he says. Instead, he monitors everything from aircraft transponder data to IRC chatrooms to pinpoint his planes. “I use a combination of live listening with local equipment, audio streaming, video streaming, datamining, intelligence, analyzing and the general knowledge of ATC procedures, communication, encryption, call signs, frequencies and a lot of experience on this!”

Huub, who ordinarily spends his days as a digital forensics manager in the town of Hilversum, has lately spent up to 16 hours a day, scanning for clues about the attack on Libya. Some of his Twitter followers aren’t so sure Huub should be devoting that much time to plucking military data from the sky.

“If you are not delaying your tweets by a WIDE margin, you are putting the pilots in harms way!!!!” tweets @Joe_Taxi. “When the sounds of the #operationoddesydawn aircraft are heard in #Libya it should be a complete surprise.”

Huub is hardly the only one eavesdropping on this operation, however. At least two others recorded the Commando Solo in action on Sunday, for instance.

And that shows just how easily average folks can now gather intelligence in ways once reserved for the best-funded spy agencies. Online sleuths now use Google Earth to find everything from North Korea’s launch facilities to Pakistan’s drone bases. Plane-spotters scoured tail numbers to uncover the CIA’s torture flights. So it’s no wonder that the sounds of this newest air war are being broadcast online — even before the planes return to their airstrips.
