Adventism delays Christ's return, and Satan's agent Hitler emerges

By way of satanic-agents like Hitler and Stalin, the great Deceiver causes the loss of God's creations Rev 4:11

As Christ could have returned in 1890, the time of harvest, the end of the world is now, and Christ's return is conditional Matthew 13:39, 2Pet 3:12-14, Great Controversy page 457.   Due to this delay, Satan in 1890 and onward was able to re-double his efforts, intensifying racial issues throughout the globe in places like Brazil, Jamaica and the United States of America; creating diabolical dictators such as: Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, agents of Satan in Europe.  The greatest mistake made by many Agnostics, Atheists and “Christians” is the act of denying the existence of spiritual-satanic agencies.

“Satan aims to keep the remnant church in a “laodicean condition”, preventing their sealing; as it further delays God’s work, while extending Satan’s time on earth Rev 12:9, 12; Early Writings pages 36-38; The Loud Cry of the Third Angel pages 20-21, A Soul Sealed at Character Perfection chapter 10.

Satan’s aim of further postponing God’s work was successful, as in 1888, he caused the Seventh-day Adventist church organization to reject God’s commencement of latter rain.   At the commencement of the Latter rain movement in 1888, A.T. Jones and E.J. Waggoner gave memorable sermons regarding the well-needed subject of Righteousness by Faith, the Third Angel's message in verity, at the Minneapolis General Conference Meeting; please see Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers page 91, Review and Herald April 1st, 1890.

Knowledge increases worldwide when God outpours His goodness:  and, in 1887, Alexander Miles originated (patent) "...a major safety improvement to the elevator. Miles did not invent the elevator. But he made it safer with an automatically closing door, which prevented people from accidentally falling down elevator shafts". In 1890, inventor Charles Orren Bailiff originated (patent) "the shampoo headrest" The Washington Informer - Black History Journal.

In 1891, we saw the emergence of a young scientist, Guglielmo Marconi, a pioneer of wireless telegraphy, who created an apparatus based on ideas by German physicist Heinrich Hertz.  Here onward, the first automatic telephone switchboard was developed and German engineer, Rudolf Diesel patented the internal combustion engine while in France.

In 1893, American Henry Ford built a gas engine, and German engineer, Karl Benz constructed “the world’s first inexpensive mass-produced four-wheel car, the Velo, beginning a new era in personal transportation.  The first photoelectric cell was developed by Julius Elster and Hans Geitel” (The Einstein Almanac).

In 1895 The Lumiere brothers, Louis and Auguste collaboratively created the movie camera (cinematograph) and Wilhelm Roentgen discovered x-rays while King C. Gillette created the safety razor.  Later, Ludwig Boltzmann developed a theory for statistical mechanics (probability theory); Zionism emerged, while Sigmund Freud used the word “Psychoanalysis” within his published “The Etiology of Hysteria”.

In 1898, Pierre and Marie Curie discovered radium and polonium; and Graf von Zeppelin built the first “blimp”.  Additionally, the first photographs by way of artificial light emerged, as did a patent for magnetic sound recording, the “telegraphone”.

All abovementioned historical reports evidence proof of an increase in knowledge on planet earth:  and, Christians acknowledge that talents come from God.  “Power, position, and an advanced education are talents granted to mankind from God, permitting others to learn and benefit from their skills for the Most High’s service, as 2Corinthians 4:15 edifies “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God” A Soul Sealed at Character Perfection page 14.

Yahweh is moving forward unto the “sealing” of His people, as since 1888 with the abundance of Gospel power, by way of the “Latter rain”, He has provided fullness for the completion of His work on planet earth.  Regarding the great controversy between “good and evil’, God has given human moral-agents tools to finish the work.  Those who manifest character-ripeness, will receive the “latter rain” leading into Christ’s speedy return Eph 4:30, Rev 7:1-3, Christ Object Lessons 330, SDA Bible Commentary volume 6 page 1096, Testimonies for the Church Volume 3 page 43.

Elijah epitomized perfection of character, as he modeled victory over sin through the acceptance of Christ's gift of imputed righteousness, later being translated from planet earth 2Kings 2:11. There can be no “spiritual life” without advancement in sanctification (holiness) or ongoing Christian growth Romans 8:29-30, 2Pet 3:18. Our knowledge must increase daily, as the parable of the "good ground hearers" indicates Matt 13:23.  Eternal knowledge is applicable even in heaven. As long as we are on the earth, God's light will be streaming from His spirit of beneficence or unchanging, undying agape love, unto His subjects 1John 4:8, 16, Prov 4:18, Rev 14:1-5, Steps to Christ page 77-80, Desire of Ages page 21. The message of early and latter rain is phenomenal Joel 2:23, Hosea 6:3, Zech 10:1, James 5:7. We must embrace the “loud cry movement”, a manifestation of the sowing and reaping parable Gal 6:7-8, Rev 18:1-4.

All glory be to God, as when Christ casts the seed into the good ground, it is our willingness to receive the full righteous gospel power, permitting it to cause "seed-germination" for the time of Harvest Matt 13:30, Rom 1:20. The people of God do the work of sowing by faith through the Righteousness of Christ. "Man has his part to act in promoting the growth of the grain" Christ Object Lessons page 64, A Soul Sealed at Character Perfection page 47. Thus, we must apply our “character experiences”, diligently by way of sowing: the more we study under God's time-limited kingdom of Grace, the more we will advance in sanctification Hosea 4:6, Heb 4:16, 2Tim 2:15.

The Latter Rain studies examine the maturity of God's sanctified people, fueled by the Holy Spirit through righteous teachings Zech 10:1. We must thus accept and receive Christ's righteousness, reaching “the stage of the ear” of corn or “the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”, reproducing Christ's character fully; immutably fixing the fruit of the Spirit in our characters, causing its maturity to signal Christ’s reaping Mark 4:28, Gal 5:22-23, Eph 4:13, Rev 14:14-16.

Big Sis and NFL Turn Super Bowl Into Police State

February 5, 2011

Earlier this week, Department of Homeland Security boss Janet Napolitano traveled to Arlington, Texas, where the Super Bowl will be held to shill the government’s recently unveiled “If You See Something, Say Something” propaganda campaign.

“We are partnering this year with the NFL on our ‘If You See Something, Say Something’ campaign and launching that NFL partnership right here at the Super Bowl,” Napolitano said during a press conference on Monday at Cowboy Stadium.

“The idea is simple,” she continued. “We are simply asking the American people to be vigilant, recognizing that our security is a shared responsibility that all of us must participate in. If a fan at the Super Bowl or any other American at any other place sees something that is potentially dangerous, then say something about it to local law enforcement or someone in authority.”

DHS is also working with federal, state, local and private sector partners to support security efforts at the Super Bowl through additional personnel, technology and resources, according to a DHS press release.

The DHS trained around 1,200 stadium employees as “first observers” and the venue has become a high profile showcase for a concerted effort by the government to expand the Gestapo zone concept from airports to stadiums and eventually malls and other public buildings.

“In these current times you would be shortsighted, really, not to have gone to the nth degree to design security and security equipment and security areas … and this stadium represents that,” Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, told CNN on Friday.

Fans attending the game this weekend can expect the same kind of intrusive procedures they might endure at an airport, including passing through magnetometers and TSA-like pat-downs.

Small bags will be searched and jackets will be X-rayed, reports the Kansas City Star. A large number of items will not be allowed in the stadium, including camcorders, tripods, camera cases, binocular cases, umbrellas, strollers, grills, tents, poles, sticks, banners, noisemakers, horns, beach balls, Frisbees, laser lights and pointers, containers of any type, coolers of any size, backpacks, bottles, cans, and hairspray.

Such in-your-face control is instrumental to the effort by the government to get us to accept ever increasing intrusive behavior by brutish police goons and other authorities. It is part of an ongoing effort to convince you that the dictates of the state and its phony war on manufactured terrorism negate your private space and personal liberty.

Team vehicles will have have RFID credentials and will be tracked in real-time. Frank Supovitz, NFL senior vice president, told reporters in Texas his organization will use GPS to track cars, limos, and buses that will be carrying teams, officials, and VIPs. Credentials will be checked against a database pre-loaded with names and photos.

Jones said the stadium has perches for snipers. Video cameras will record every inch of the stadium. During the game the airspace for a 30-mile radius over the stadium will be restricted and patrolled by NORAD fighter jets.

Private-public relationships. Mussolini defined such arrangements as fascism.

Bomb-sniffing dogs, gun-toting police and cops trained to detect suspicious behavior are part of the TSA teams already deployed on the region’s DART transit system, according to CNN.

National Nuclear Security Administration teams will move through Arlington with equipment to detect radioactive isotopes of the sort emitted by a dirty bomb. Debbie Wilber of the NNSA said the administration’s sensors picked up 10 hits at the 2010 Super Bowl. It turned out the hits had nothing to do with al-Qaeda or Muslims who hate us for our freedom to watch football – they were the result of nuclear medicine.

“We have 10 bomb squads and federal agencies involved in this endeavor,” Stephen Lea, assistant fire marshal with the Arlington Fire Department, told Discovery News.

The government has gone over the top in its effort to exploit the Super Bowl and use it as a showcase for its emerging police state – additional resources that will be available include: chemical and biological detection devices, bomb-retrieving robots, high-tech weaponry, and even a small unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with a camera capable of flying inside the stadium.

The bomb-retrieving robots are made by the Northrup Grumman robotics company Remotec. One of the robots, known as the Andros F5, is sturdy enough to pull a trailer hitch and is studded with with cameras, microphones and two-way communication.

There will be huge Big Brother telescreens at the game displaying DHS propaganda. Government PSAs are also now prominently displayed at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and on the local DART transit system.

In its story on Big Sis and the Super Bowl, CNN mentioned the Tucson shooting and a string of absurd homegrown terror incidents provocateured by the FBI. These sensationalistic events are crucial to the propaganda campaign designed to get us accustomed to ever increasing intrusions by the state and sell us on the ridiculous idea that al-Qaeda will strike at any moment.

The DHS “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign is the centerpiece of the latest push to turn America into a high-tech police and Stasi snoop state.

From the DHS press release cited above:

Over the past six months, DHS has worked with its federal, state, local and private sector partners, as well as the Department of Justice, to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign and the Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative—an administration effort to train state and local law enforcement to recognize behaviors and indicators related to terrorism, crime and other threats; standardize how those observations are documented and analyzed; and expand and enhance the sharing of those reports with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and DHS—to communities throughout the country. The “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign has recently been launched in Minnesota and New Jersey, as well as to more than 9,000 federal buildings nationwide, Walmart, Mall of America, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Amtrak, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the sports and general aviation industries, and state and local fusion centers across the country.

Last month we reported on the DHS effort to convert Walt-marts around the country into Stasi snoop zones. As noted above, the DHS plans to expand this program to Mall of America, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the sports and general aviation industries.

“We now know how that expansion will manifest itself – with Americans at every level of society being trained that activities such as using cash, not having a credit card, taking pictures or video footage, asking questions, and wearing certain items of clothing are all suspicious and should be reported, while being coerced into living in constant fear of terror, when in reality they are more likely to die from peanut allergies, lightning strikes, or accident-causing deer than terrorist attacks,” Paul Joseph Watson noted on January 20.

Top Jesuit University in USA teaches Vedas

Nevada (US), Jan 31 : Georgetown University in Washington DC, oldest and prestigious Catholic and Jesuit institute of higher learning in USA established in 1789, is offering various classes in Hinduism.

Courses include Hindu Religious Tradition, Hinduism Today, Modern Hinduism, and Hindu Dharma; involving study of Vedas, Upanishads, Gandhi, Ramana Maharshi, sadhus, gurus, yogis, rituals, festivals, worship, devotional poetry and music, family, healing practices, pilgrimage, storytelling, Kabir, Mirabai, Laws of Manu, etc.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, described Georgetown's approach as "a step in the right direction".

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, argued that religion was a complex element of our lives and religion comprised much more than one's own individual experience or specific tradition. God, as a sign of God's munificence and benevolence, constructively wished presence of different faiths.

Rajan Zed urged the schools/departments of religion and philosophy of major world universities to strengthen their Hinduism sections. Hinduism being the oldest religion with rich philosophical thought and a vast array of scriptures needed more exploration. Zed especially asked the Harvard, Cambridge, Yale, Princeton, Oxford, Stanford, Columbia, McGill, Australian National, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Heidelberg, Uppsala, and Utrecht universities to further enrich their Hinduism resources.

Georgetown University is one of the world's leading academic and research institutions with 16,437 students representing 135 countries, out of which over 73 percent are Christian. Its library holds over 2.3 million volumes and its annual tuition per student can be up to about USD 46,000. Dr. John J. DeGioia is President; Paul Tagliabue is Board of Directors Chair, while Terrence P. Reynolds is Theology Department Chair.

Roman Catholics, headed by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, are the largest denomination of Christianity with about 1.17 billion adherents out of which Jesuits form the largest single religious order of priests and brothers. Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about a billion followers and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal.

US Bishops Notify Congress of Policy Goals

US Bishops Notify Congress of Policy Goals

This article comes from the National Catholic Reporter.
The bishops want equal access to the Internet for all!
Letters outline US bishops’ policy priorities
By Michael Sean Winters

The U.S. bishops released two letters to members of Congress late last month that outline “principles and priorities that guide the public policy efforts” of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The first letter, signed by the newly installed conference president, Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, exhorts the lawmakers to protect human life from conception to natural death. “Our prayers and hopes [are] that this newly elected Congress will advance the common good and defend the life and dignity of all, especially vulnerable and poor persons whose needs are critical in this time of difficult economic and policy choices.”

The letters were dated Jan. 14 and released to the public Jan. 18.

Dolan pledges to “seek ways to work constructively with the administration and the new Congress and others of goodwill to pursue policies which respect the dignity of all human life and bring greater justice to our nation and peace to our world.”

The second letter – signed by Cardinal Daniel DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, head of the pro-life committee; Bishop Stephen E. Blaire of Stockton, Calif., chairman of the justice and human development committee; and Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, chairman of the migration committee – dealt specifically with the issue of health care legislation.

Dolan wrote that the bishops approach public policy “not as politicians but as pastors and teachers … [of] the largest community of faith in the United States, one that serves every part of our nation and is present in almost every place on earth.”

The bishops “will work to retain essential, widely supported policies which show respect for unborn life, protect the conscience rights of health care providers and other Americans, and prevent government funding and promotion of abortion,” Dolan wrote. He asked that the Hyde Amendment, which prevents the use of federal funds for all elective abortion, be enacted as a permanent provision.

Dolan then articulated the bishops’ concern to defend traditional marriage, calling for vigorous enforcement of the Defense of Marriage Act, which limits the degree to which the federal government can recognize same-sex partnerships.

The letter next addressed a variety of concerns about social justice and the poor that range the bishops more on the political left than the political right.

It said that the bishops support economic policies that protect the poor, and call for aid to Catholic schools and continued funding for faith-based organizations that cooperate with the government in providing social services.

Dolan also addressed a novel issue: equal access to the Internet, the first time this issue has received such prominent attention from the bishops’ conference.

He called for comprehensive immigration reform, “recognizing that human dignity comes from God and does not depend on where people were born or how they came to our nation.” Among those items the bishops seek are “a path to earned citizenship, with attention to the fact that international trade and development policies influence economic opportunities in the countries from which immigrants come,” and some effort to prioritize family reunification.

Turning to international affairs, the letter calls for a “responsible” end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and voices special concern for the religious freedom of Christians and others, noting recent attacks on Christians in Egypt, Iraq and Nigeria, as well as the assassination of a Pakistani official who had spoken against that country’s blasphemy law.

Dolan also urged “continued and persistent leadership” to secure a lasting peace in the Holy Land, support for peaceful change in Sudan, and continued efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the people of Haiti.

Dolan’s letter follows the pattern set by Pope Benedict XVI in his encyclical letter Caritas in Veritate, albeit with far less explicit theological arguments. Dolan’s letter articulates a variety of concerns, all of which flow from the church’s teaching on human dignity, even though some of those concerns are shared mostly with Republicans and others mostly with Democrats.

Dolan’s letter appears to be a far cry from the position held by some conservative Catholics, such as Princeton University Professor Robert George, who argue that the church’s focus should be narrower, restricted to so-called “nonnegotiable” issues like opposition to abortion and support for traditional marriage and religious freedom.

Some might be disappointed to find that immigration comes near the very end, as if it were not a real priority for the bishops and a pressing issue for the country.

The second letter from the three bishops whose committees were most engaged in last year’s health care debate is primarily interesting because it didn’t support efforts to repeal the health care reform law.

“Throughout the last Congress the Catholic bishops of the United States affirmed our strong support for universal access to health care,” the bishops write. “Basic health care for all is a moral imperative, not yet completely achieved.”

They call for Congress to address the health care needs of immigrants, a need unaddressed in last year’s health care law.

The letter from the three bishops enumerates the bishops’ reservations concerning federal funding of abortion and conscience protections for health care workers and Catholics hospitals. They note that these last concerns can all be achieved by enacting other bills that amend the law without repealing it. One such effort, previously introduced in the last Congress, would put the original Stupak-Pitts language back in the law, codifying the Hyde Amendment by law rather than executive order, as President Obama did last year. The Stupak-Pitts Amendment failed last year when no Senate Republican promised to vote for the health care law if the amendment was attached to it.

Another prospective bill would shore up conscience protections for Catholic health care workers, a growing concern of the bishops.

No one seeking to repeal the health care law will likely find solace in this letter.

Both letters exemplify a lack of sharp elbows. The respectful tone, the lack of any demonization or mischaracterization of the views of others, the ideological balance and measured analysis, these all distinguish the bishops’ voices from so many others in the public square.

If the next three years of Dolan’s leadership follow the form and content of this letter, the church’s relationship with the political realm might be less volatile and more constructive then we’ve seen in recent years.

Vatican's Sex Abuse Prosecutor says Church must Amputate to Heal

Vatican's Sex Abuse Prosecutor says Church must Amputate to Heal

by John L Allen Jr on May. 29, 2010
When the innocence of children is “trampled upon, broken, sullied, abused, and destroyed,” then “the earth becomes arid and the whole world sad,” the Vatican’s top sexual abuse prosecutor said this morning in Rome.

Monsignor Charles J. Scicluna indirectly critiqued the clerical culture in which abuser priests were routinely given second chances.

Christian friendship, Scicluna said, is “submitted to the law of God,” so if a member of the church is an “occasion of sin,” then a believer “has no other choice … but to cut this tie.”

Weeding out abusers, Scicluna implied, is a form of “divine surgery” intended to save the body by amputating a diseased part.

Scicluna, a Maltese priest who serves as Promoter of Justice in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, spoke as part of a service of reparation for abuse committed by priests and for healing within the church organized by students at Rome’s pontifical institutions. The service took place this morning in St. Peter’s Basilica, at the Altar of the Chair of Peter.

Scicluna delivered a homily for the service. Widely considered the Vatican’s top expert on the sexual abuse crisis, Scicluna rarely speaks in public – making his comments this morning all the more significant.

Tapped by then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, today Pope Benedict XVI, to handle the canonical response to charges of sexual abse against priests, Scicluna is widely seen as the architect of the more aggressive approach to the crisis which emerged in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith after 2001.

This morning, Scicluna delivered a largely spiritual meditation on the relationship between Jesus and children, saying that “the church, the spouse of Jesus, has always had a special care and solicitude for children and the weak.”

According to the fathers of the church, Scicluna said, a child was “the eloquent icon of innocence.”

In that light, Scicluna argued, destroying the innocence of a child makes the entire earth “arid” and “sad.”

Quoting St. Gregory the Great, Scicluna suggested that such sins are especially heinous when committed by priests.

“After having taken a profession of holiness, anyone who destroys others through words or deed would have been better off if their misdeeds had caused them to die in secular dress, rather than, through their holy office, being imposed as an example for others in their sins. Without doubt, if they had fallen all by themselves, their suffering in Hell would be easier to bear.”

Scicluna contrasted the innocence of children with arrogance and careerism in the church.

“How many sins in the church [have happened] because of arrogance, insatiable ambition, abuse of power and injustices committed by those who abuse their ministry to advance their career?”, Scicluna asked.

He denounced the “futile and wretched motives of vainglory.”

The remedy to such scandals offered by God as the “Divine Surgeon,” according to Scicluna, is to “cut out [disease] in order to heal,” and to “amputate in order to restore health.”

Beyond such drastic measures, Scicluna also proposed the “preventive medicine” of solid formation for future priests, calling on them to be on fire with the faith, making them salt and light for the world.

This morning’s service of reparation included an hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a period of guided prayer meditation led by Scicluna, and concluded with a solemn benediction. Students who organized the event said they decided to do so “in the wake of the media attention given in recent months to abuses perpetrated by priests. and in response to the Holy Father’s call to penance in his Letter to Ireland.”

'Bloodless persecution' predicted for Christians

Expert says European hostility to free, open demonstrations of faith growing

By Bob Unruh

© 2011 WorldNetDaily

Christianity has been around what now is Europe since the first century, with some parts of the New Testament written to people in Greece and Rome. But a new report is warning that open hostility to Christianity across the continent is on the rise and intolerance is being paired with legislative power to attack and violate the religious rights of the faithful.

"There are signs that hostility towards free and open demonstrations of faith is growing. Christians are increasingly marginalized and are appearing more often in courts over matters related to faith. So I think that we are heading for a bloodless persecution," Gudrun Kugler told Mercatornet about her organization's newest report.

The report, called "Shadow Report on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe," cites page after page of examples of attacks on Christians and Christianity across Europe.

Kugler, who works with an organization that watches for intolerance and discrimination, said the report found that European Christians are under attack for their freedom of expression, freedom of conscience and parental rights, are targeted by hate crimes, emblems representing Christianity are being destroyed and they are subjected to negative stereotyping in the media.

"I cannot but voice my concern at the increasing marginalization of religion, particularly of Christianity, that is taking place in some quarters," warned Pope Benedict XVI late last year, "even in nations which place a great emphasis on tolerance.

"There are those who would advocate that the voice of religion be silenced, or at least relegated to the purely private sphere. There are those who argue that the public celebration of festivals such as Christmas should be discouraged, in the questionable belief that it might somehow offend those of other religions or none. And there are those who argue – paradoxically with the intention of eliminating discrimination – that Christians in public roles should be required at times to act against their conscience.

"These are worrying signs of a failure to appreciate not only the rights of believers to freedom of conscience and freedom of religion, but also the legitimate role of religion in the public square," he said.

According to the report, the issue has reached the level of the European Parliament, where Italian member Mario Mauro last year finished his book, "War against Christians."

Equal exercise of freedom

"Discriminatory laws directly or indirectly prevent equal exercise of freedom," the report finds. "With regard to Christianity in Europe, this is often the case in the areas of freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and freedom of religion.

"The latter is understood to include the right to raise one's children in one's faith, to share one's faith peacefully with others, to publish religious materials without censorship, to change one's religion (by choice, not coercion) and to practice no religion at all," the report said.

"We often come across overly broad equal treatment or anti-discrimination legislation that causes indirect side-effect discrimination of Christians, criminalizing core elements of Christian teaching," it said.

For example, last October, former British MP Christine McCafferty urged the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to recommend limitations to conscientious objection when it comes to abortion.

"The draft report contained a limitation of freedom of conscience to individuals. Objecting individuals would have faced restrictions and blacklisting," the report said, describing the draft as "aiming at discriminating against Christians."

Then in Spain there was a judge who was suspended from his position for objecting to the adoption of a young girl by lesbians. And in the United Kingdom, a registrar was ordered to perform homosexual weddings despite the individual's personal religious objections to the procedures.

Further, the council in the UK city of Brighton demanded that a care home for elderly Christians provided information about residents' sexual orientation, and cut funding for the service organization when the demand was not met.

Fined for advertising traditional families

Regarding Christians' freedom of expression, the report found that Spain's government fined a Christian television network 100,000 euros for carrying advertising opposing the homosexual lifestyle, an anti-abortion campaigner was jailed for sending abortion photos to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and a street preacher in the United Kingdom was arrested after telling passersby that homosexuality is a sin.

"BHA (British Humanist Association) has called on the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums, North Somerset Council, to visit Britain and South West England to shut down the zoo. The secular group claims the zoo is misleading tens of thousands of visitors annually and 'threatening public understanding' by questioning the traditional view of evolution," the report continued.

Regarding the collective freedom of religion, the report found, an Italian attorney, Georg Zanger, announced plans to sue members of the Catholic Church on grounds of membership in a criminal organization, and homosexuals disrupted Catholic services because the church was refusing communion to those who openly flaunted their rejection of church teaching.

And a homosexual advocacy law in the UK forced the Catholic Church to withdraw from adoption services and a proposal would have forced Christian churches to hire practicing homosexuals as youth workers.

'Only Muslims can be good people'

The change in standards also has encompassed education. In the Netherlands, students are taught that "Christianity would be abolished in the end, all other religions would disappear and everybody will convert to Islam."

"After all," said the lesson, "only Muslims can be good people."

Regarding employment, in the UK, an Employment Appeal Tribunal ordered that Christians cannot act according to their consciences if their beliefs conflict with the promotion of homosexuality, and a foster care giver was suspended from her career for allowing a Muslim child in her care to convert to Christianity.

Perhaps some of the most egregious cases uncovered by the study include the rights of parents.

In Austria the government enforced sex education guidelines that "practically prohibit the teaching of authentic Christian sexual values," and in Germany, a mother of eight was jailed for eight days after she refused to send her nine-year-old son to school for its sexual education program.

Turkey requires students to study Islam and Sweden is trying to "curb the influence" of religion – in private church schools.

The study found that journalists and the media are contributing, with a situation in Germany where the German Daily "Die Zeit" wrongly accused Christians of favoring a radical law in Uganda and a popular BBC soap, "Coronation Street," featured attacks on the Christian faith.

Defamation of the Christian faith came from organizations such as International Planned Parenthood Federation, which said, "Fundamentalists and other religious groups, the Catholic Church and madrasas (Islamic schools) for example, have imposed tremendous barriers that prevent young people, particularly, from obtaining information and services related to sex and reproduction."

In Austria, a pro-abortion rally featured shouts of, "If Mary had had an abortion, we would have been spared from you!" In Germany, speeches at a psychotherapy congress on whether sexual orientation could be changed had to be delivered under police protection because of the "tolerance" of homosexual organizations.

Christianity 'destroys'?

Just recently in a Hungarian talk show, the statement was made that, "A child's life can be destroyed by two things: Christianity and pornography."

In Belarus, a mother was denied permission to pray at the tomb of her son, who had been executed by authorities, and a war memorial cross was destroyed in Amsterdam because Muslims said it "disturbed" them.

The results are "hate crimes" against Christians, the report said.

"Hatred of Christianity is often directed against church buildings," the report warned. "Acts of vandalism and desecration take place more frequently than many would expect. The French daily 'Le Figaro' reports one every other day in France alone. Some desecrations prove to be satanic acts, others an expression of disapproval of moral viewpoints of Christianity."

Against individuals, such "hate crimes" range from "beatings to killings," the report said.

Physical attacks have been reported by those witnessing at abortion clinics, priests have been beaten and stabbed and protesters have stormed into church services.

Solutions

The report recommends that European governments ensure equal rights for Christians and modify legislation that attacks the Christian faith, watch for discrimination against Christians and take action when appropriate.

The European Union itself should examine its own legislation and make freedom of religion, speech and conscience a priority.

Kugler, a Vienna lawyer and advisor for the Fundamental Rights Platform of European Union's Fundamental Rights Agency, told Mercatornet that it's all religious freedom, not just that for Christians, at risk.

"We are all aware that Jews and Muslims experience intolerance and discrimination. But so do Christians – even if they constitute a nominal majority here," she said.

"I have the impression that journalists and policy-makers are often more anti-Christian than their fellow citizens. But they shape the mood of the country. What we observe is that Christians are increasingly being described as 'homophobic,' sexist, intolerant and unworldly," she said.

But there's a good reason for the attacks, too, she noted.

"Christianity and the cross are a constant bone of contention. Perhaps crucifixes and other religious imagery are reminders that people ought to put their lives in order. Christians are also the last obstacle to a new vision of secularity which is so politically correct that it verges on totalitarianism," she said.

Is this the "pale rider" from Revelation?

A mysterious, pale green figure seen in televised news coverage of the Egyptian riots has prompted some viewers to ask, "Could this be the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse?"

The footage, provided by Euronews and subsequently seen on MSNBC, CNN and uploaded over a dozen times to the popular video sharing site YouTube, captures the fiery, violent protests in Cairo this past week … and something else.

Between the crowds of protesters and barricades, the video shows a flowing, pale green image that resembles an erect rider atop a horse in Medieval-like barding. The ethereal figure remains for a few moments before floating over protesters' heads and off the screen.

The last of the biblical Book of Revelation's Four Horseman of the Apocalyse, the "pale rider" is said to be the bringer of death and the forerunner of "hell" on earth.

The strange image can be seen beginning at the 1:19 mark of the following video:

The Book of Revelation refers to a time when "the Lamb" – usually understood to be the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ – opens the seven seals of a scroll of judgment. Each of the first four seals is accompanied by a horseman of a different color, each bringing a separate calamity.

When the fourth seal is opened, Revelation 6:8 records, "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

Is the image from Egypt a fulfillment of Revelation's prophecy?

Comments from the tens of thousands of viewers who have watched the video on YouTube express a wide array of opinion.

Some claim the video's "pale rider" is a sign and the greenish tint is somehow symbolic of Islam, while others insist the image has been added to the footage by editing technolgy. Still others point to three, trailing points of light in the footage that move away from the crowds at the same time and speed as the "horseman," indicating that both the "rider" and the lights are merely smudges or reflections cast on the lens of a moving camera.

One comment, from a viewer calling himself TheRhythmhawk, also tried to explain the "pale rider" and the trailing lights as simply lens reflections, but eventually concluded, "The image of the horseman leaves more questions than answers."
