REDISTRIBUTION OF LIBERTY

Dwyer: REDISTRIBUTION OF LIBERTY

In case you wonder while boarding a plane, where have your Constitutional rights gone, I have the answer for you: they have been redistributed.

You have to “voluntarily” submit yourself to humiliating procedure that borders with sexual assault as a precondition to your exercise of your right to travel. Your genitals may be inspected, a TSA agent may wander with her hand under your wife’s skirt, and even your kids may be exposed on what you thought was child molesting.

And all this nonsense takes place while millions of Mexican illegal aliens, loyal to their La Raza (The Race) and not to our nation, violate America’s border and the immigration law as they please because, we are being told, any meaningful enforcement would create “a war zone” and offend Mexico.

As if this weren’t enough, verification of voter’s eligibility by means of proof of citizenship and photo ID has been deemed a violation of Constitutional right to vote, even though untold thousands of non-citizens fraudulently cast their votes in federal, state, and local elections.

As if this weren’t enough, either, Muslims are given free pass on importation and exercise of laws and customs of their half-religious and half-political Islam that are so incompatible with what our Constitutional Republic stands for, and – despite history of terror attacks and threats – they cannot even be suspect at the airports because, according Liberal orthodoxy, that would amount to racial profiling and discrimination.

And if all these weren’t enough, the “Liberal” apologists for the intrusive government, who maintain that passenger’s “safety” trumps all other considerations, will flatly reject any idea that passengers safety is also more important than the “Liberal” ideology that in a futile attempt to prove all people equal stops us from making obvious statistical connections between the flyer’s profile and the risk he poses to his fellow travelers. This submits our individual liberties to “Liberal” ideology (since our liberties yield to our safety which yields to “Liberal” ideology) – an un-Constitutional doctrine that was very much in order in Soviet Union (where it most likely have originated from) but is totally out of place in the U.S.

I am sure you can add quite a lot to this list of absurdities that are being forced down our throats.

But it’s more than just absurd effects. There is an obvious causality relationship here as well.

Because the Federal Government de facto refuses to keep all undesirable aliens on the other side of the American border, and even allows prospective troublemakers to obtain U.S. citizenship, because it refuses to “profile” those likely of breaking our nation’s laws, the same Federal Government is now compelled to trash our Constitutional liberties in order to remedy for the result of its own indolence (to say the least).

In other words, we are being forced to give up some of our God-given rights so that those who govern our country can keep bestowing various rights, and undeservedly so, on those who should not be allowed into our country in first place.

Not only do we see redistribution of America’s wealth, as our hi-tech manufacturing facilities, product of our nation’s ingenuity and hard work, are being siphoned to China, India, and Mexico while America is drowning in national debt, but also our Constitutional rights are being redistributed among foreign nations, religions, and cultures at our expense. How typical.

That’s core Liberalism. It’s far more dangerous than most of you think it is. And, according to most recent genetic research, it’s incurable.

So, beware of Liberals, both open and closeted ones. They are benign only when kept muted and powerless. Each time you elect a “Liberal” to any office of power or give one a forum to deceive and indoctrinate our youth, you make it more likely that our nation will, eventually, be “liberated” from its Constitutional liberties, and that these former liberties of ours, but not ours anymore, as our government has deprived and is depriving us of them for our protection, will be redistributed among the rapidly growing population of the rest of the world.

And if you would like to see the future of America under the “Liberal” rule then just go ahead and try to board a plane on your trip to Thanksgiving dinner next week. I guarantee you will not be amazed.

TSA forces cancer survivor to show prosthetic breast

Some fliers with medical conditions call new airport security procedures 'humiliating'

By Suzanne Choney

A longtime Charlotte, N.C.,
flight attendant and cancer survivor told a local television station  that she was forced to show her prosthetic breast during a pat-down.

Cathy Bossi, who works for U.S. Airways, said she received the pat-down after declining to do the full-body scan because of radiation concerns.

The TSA screener "put her full hand on my breast and said, 'What is this?' " Bossi told the station. "And I said, 'It's my prosthesis because I've had breast cancer.' And she said, 'Well, you'll need to show me that.' "

Bossi said she removed the prosthetic from her bra. She did not take the name of the agent, she said, "because it was just so horrific of an experience, I couldn't believe someone had done that to me. I'm a flight attendant. I was just trying to get to work."

For Americans who wear prosthetics — either because they are cancer survivors or have lost a limb — or who have undergone hip replacements or have a pacemaker, the humiliation of the TSA's new security procedures — choosing between a body scan or body search — is even worse.

Musa Mayer has worn a breast prosthesis for 21 years since her mastectomy and is used to the alarms it sets off at airport security. But nothing prepared her for the "invasive and embarrassing" experience of being patted down, poked and examined recently while passing through airport security at Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C.

"I asked the supervisor if she realized that there are 3 million women who have had breast cancer in the U.S., many of whom wear breast prostheses. Will each of us now have to undergo this humiliating, time-consuming routine every time we pass through one of these new body scanners?" she said in an e-mail to msnbc.com.

'I was so humiliated'

Marlene McCarthy of Rhode Island said she went through the body scanner and was told by a TSA agent to step aside. In "full view of everyone," McCarthy said in an e-mail, the agent "immediately put the back of her hand on my right side chest and I explained I wore a prosthesis.

"Then, she put her full hands ... one on top and one on the bottom of my 'breast' and moved the prosthesis left, right, up, down and said 'OK.' I was so humiliated.

"I went to the desk area and complained," McCarthy wrote. "The woman there was very nice and I asked her if the training included an understanding of how prosthetics are captured on the scanner and told her the pat-down is embarrassing. She said, 'We have never even had that discussion and I do the training for the TSA employees here, following the standard manual provided.' She said she will bring it up at their next meeting."

If she has to go through the scanner again, McCarthy said, "I am determined to put the prosthesis in the gray bucket," provided to travelers at the security check-ins for items such as jewelry.

"Let the TSA scanners be embarrassed .... not me anymore!" she wrote.

Sharon Kiss, 66, has a pacemaker, but also has to fly often for her work.

"During a recent enhanced pat-down, a screener cupped my breasts and felt my genitals," she said in an e-mail to msnbc.com "To 'clear my waistband' she put her hands down my pants and groped for the waistband of my underwear.

"I expressed humiliation and was told 'You have the choice not to fly.' "

The remark infuriated Kiss, who lives in Mendocino, Calif. "Extrapolate this to we should not provide curb cuts and ramps for people confined to wheelchairs because they can choose to stay home ... This a violation of civil rights. And because I have a disability, I should not be subjected to what is government-sanctioned sexual assault in order to board a plane."

No planned changes to security

So far, the government is not letting up on the enhanced screening program. TSA administrator

John Pistole said this week

at a Congressional hearing on the matter that "reasonable people can disagree" on how to properly balance safety at the nation's airports, but that the new security measures are necessary because of intelligence on latest attack methods that might be used by terrorists.

Gail Mengel, of Blue Springs, Mo., is used to being patted down; she had a hip replacement five years ago.

"I admit that I was relieved when I flew last week and was able to spend a few seconds in front of the X-ray screen in Seattle and Denver," she said in an e-mail to msnbc.com. "I have heard medical experts say the level of radiation will not hurt us. And frankly I was happy to realize I won't have my body touched, patted and rubbed anymore.

"Unfortunately last weekend, I arrived at the New Orleans airport and learned that airport staff (was) still being trained in using the X-ray machine. Because my hip replacement sets off the security buzzer, I was faced with the new regulations."

While she is "used to" being patted down, "this experience was certainly much more personal, uncomfortable and embarrassing," she said. "Every part of my body was touched. I do not want to be harmed by radiation, but the experience was painless and quick compared to what I have faced over the last five years. I support security measures but I also hope we can be assured of safe procedures."

One man, from Nashville, wrote in an e-mail that "as a handicapped person, I am sick and tired of being 'raped' at the security line. I lose my crutches and leg orthotics to be 'nuked' by the X-ray machine. Then manhandled by the pat-down, followed by chemical swabbing for 'possible explosives.' ...Enough is enough."

Said Mayer, the longtime breast cancer survivor: "I am outraged that I will now be forced to show my prosthesis to strangers, remove it and put in the X-ray bin for screening, or not to wear it at all whenever I fly. To me, this seems unfairly discriminatory and embarrassing for me, and for all breast cancer survivors."

TSA pat-down leaves traveler covered in urine

'I was absolutely humiliated,' said bladder cancer survivor

By Harriet Baskas

Thomas Sawyer, 61, said he was left "humiliated" and covered in urine after undergoing a TSA pat-down.

A retired special education teacher on his way to a wedding in Orlando, Fla., said he was left humiliated, crying and covered with his own urine after an enhanced pat-down by TSA officers recently at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

“I was absolutely humiliated, I couldn’t even speak,” said Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyer, 61, of Lansing, Mich.

Sawyer is a bladder cancer survivor who now wears a urostomy bag, which collects his urine from a stoma, or opening in his stomach.  “I have to wear special clothes and in order to mount the bag I have to seal a wafer to my stomach and then attach the bag. If the seal is broken, urine can leak all over my body and clothes.”

On Nov. 7, Sawyer said he went through the security scanner at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. “Evidently the scanner picked up on my urostomy bag, because I was chosen for a pat-down procedure.”

Due to his medical condition, Sawyer asked to be screened in private. “One officer looked at another, rolled his eyes and said that they really didn’t have any place to take me,” said Sawyer. “After I said again that I’d like privacy, they took me to an office.”

Sawyer wears pants two sizes too large in order to accommodate the medical equipment he wears. He’d taken off his belt to go through the scanner and once in the office with security personnel, his pants fell down around his ankles. “I had to ask twice if it was OK to pull up my shorts,” said Sawyer, “And every time I tried to tell them about my medical condition, they said they didn’t need to know about that.”

Before starting the enhanced pat-down procedure, a security officer did tell him what they were going to do and how they were going to it, but Sawyer said it wasn’t until they asked him to remove his sweatshirt and saw his urostomy bag that they asked any questions about his medical condition.

“One agent watched as the other used his flat hand to go slowly down my chest. I tried to warn him that he would hit the bag and break the seal on my bag, but he ignored me. Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants.”

The security officer finished the pat-down, tested the gloves for any trace of explosives and then, Sawyer said, “He told me I could go. They never apologized. They never offered to help. They acted like they hadn’t seen what happened. But I know they saw it because I had a wet mark.”

Humiliated, upset and wet, Sawyer said he had to walk through the airport soaked in urine, board his plane and wait until after takeoff before he could clean up.

“I am totally appalled by the fact that agents that are performing these pat-downs have so little concern for people with medical conditions,” said Sawyer.

Sawyer completed his trip and had no problems with the security procedures at the Orlando International Airport on his journey back home. He said he plans to file a formal complaint with the TSA.

When he does, said TSA spokesperson Dwayne Baird, “We will review the matter and take appropriate action if necessary.” In the meantime, Baird encourages anyone with a medical condition to read the TSA’s website section on
assistive devices and mobility aids.

The website says that travelers with disabilities and medical conditions have “the option of requesting a private screening” and that security officers “will not ask nor require you to remove your prosthetic device, cast, or support brace.”

Sawyer said he's written to his senators, state representatives and the president of the United States. He’s also shared details of the incident online with members of the nonprofit
Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, many of whom have offered support and shared their travel experiences.

“I am a good American and I want safety for all passengers as much as the next person," Sawyer said. "But if this country is going to sacrifice treating people like human beings in the name of safety, then we have already lost the war.”

Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network executive director Claire Saxton said that there are hundreds of thousands of people living with ostomies in the United States. “TSA agents need to be trained to listen when someone tells them have a health issue and trained in knowing what an ostomy is. No one living with an ostomy should be afraid of flying because they’re afraid of being humiliated at the checkpoint.”

Eric Lipp, executive director of Open Doors Association, which works with businesses and the disability community, called what happened to Sawyer “unfortunate.”

“But enhanced pat-downs are not a new issue for people with disabilities who travel," Lipp said. "They've always had trouble getting through the security checkpoint."

Still, Lipp said the TSA knows there’s a problem. “This came up during a recent meeting of the agency’s disability advisory board and I expect to see a procedure coming in place shortly that will directly address the pat-down procedures for people with disabilities.”

The Climate Cash Cow

Hoaxes: A high-ranking member of the U.N.'s Panel on Climate Change admits the group's primary goal is the redistribution of wealth and not environmental protection or saving the Earth.

Money, they say, is the root of all evil. It's also the motivating force behind what is left of the climate change movement after the devastating Climate-gate and IPCC scandals that saw the deliberate manipulation of scientific data to spur the world into taking draconian regulatory action.

Left for dead, global warm-mongers are busy planning their next move, which should occur at a climate conference in relatively balmy Cancun at month's end. Certainly it should provide a more appropriate venue for discussing global warming than the site of the last failed climate conference — chilly Copenhagen.

Ottmar Edenhofer, a German economist and co-chair of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) Working Group III on Mitigation of Climate Change (say that twice), told the Neue Zurcher Zeitung last week: "The climate summit in Cancun at the end of the month is not a climate conference, but one of the largest economic conferences since the Second World War." After all, redistributing global wealth is no small matter.

Edenhofer let the environmental cat out of the bag when he said "climate policy is redistributing the world's wealth" and that "it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization."

In his IPCC post, Edenhofer was a lead author of the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report in 2007. Based on anecdotal evidence, it contained unsubstantiated claims that the Himalayan glaciers would soon disappear and Bangladesh would be totally submerged.

Edenhofer claims "developed countries have basically expropriated the atmosphere of the world community" and so they must have their wealth expropriated and redistributed to the victims of their alleged crimes, the postage stamp countries of the world. He admits this "has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole."

It has everything to do with a different kind of green. U.N. warm-mongers are seeking to impose a global climate reparations tax on everything from airline flights and international shipping to fuel and financial transactions. At first, this punitive tax on progress is expected to net $100 billion annually, though that amount, like our energy costs, is expected to necessarily skyrocket.

We've seen such plans before. Just before Copenhagen, a group of "chicken littles" along with some gullible corporations ran an ad campaign titled "Hopenhagen." It pushed a global wealth redistribution scheme based on the theory that Western nations, particularly the U.S., owe a "climate debt" for having initiated the Industrial Revolution and plundered the world's fossil fuel resources in the name of unbridled capitalism.

Pope urges G-20 leaders to seek 'just solutions' to financial crisis

By Catholic News Service

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Pope Benedict XVI urged world leaders to seek "lasting, sustainable and just solutions" to the numerous economic and social problems facing the world as the Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank governors gathered in Seoul, South Korea, Nov. 11-12.

In a letter to South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, who also is president of the summit, the pope told the G-20 leaders he was hopeful that the solutions adopted will achieve "the authentic and integral development of man."

"The summit seeks solutions to quite complex questions, therefore requiring the cooperation of the entire international community, based on the acknowledgement ... of the primary and central value of human dignity," the pope wrote.

The letter was released at the Vatican as well as by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea as the summit began.

Acknowledging that G-20 leaders face complex questions because of the continuing global financial crisis, Pope Benedict encouraged the leaders to consider the needs of all nations as they craft their plans.

The pope said that the decisions made in Seoul will affect future generations, and he encouraged participants to weigh the consequences of their actions as much as they have studied the reasons for the crisis to develop.

"The world's attention focuses on you and it expects that appropriate solutions will be adopted t overcome the crisis, with common agreements which will not favor some countries at the expense of others," the letter said.

Lee's office welcomed the letter, considered the first ever sent by a pope to a G-20 president.

"The letter shows the pope's expectation on the role of South Korea in the international community," the office said in a statement.Read more at www.thebostonpilot.com

Italy PM replaces penis on statue, angers experts

Italy PM replaces penis on statue, angers experts

(AP)

ROME (AP) — Italy's culture ministry on Friday defended Premier Silvio Berlusconi for giving ancient marble statues in his office replacement body parts, to the horror of art restorers.

The ministry, which is led by a close ally of the premier, said in a statement there's no cause for alarm: The hand added to Venus and the penis added to Mars are attached by magnets and can be removed without damage.

For decades, restorers have widely agreed that missing parts of ancient statues should not be recreated.

Rome daily La Repubblica quoted Vatican Museums director Antonio Paolucci, one of Italy's top restoration experts, as saying "it's a pity" restorers didn't say no to Berlusconi's request to add parts to the 2nd century statues in Chigi Palace, the premier's office.

But Berlusconi's personal architect insisted in an interview with Associated Press Television News that the restoration was justified.

Mario Catalano said the restoration of the missing parts was based of scans of "other works with similar poses and with the agreement of the ministry's restorers."

He said the statues were among many ancient treasures relegated to the storerooms of Rome's museums because there just isn't enough space to display everything.

The sculptured pair "would have never seen the light of day" had Berlusconi not decided to have them taken from the storerooms and put in the palace courtyard, Catalano said.

Chigi Palace is also the official residence of Italian premiers, although most of them, including Berlusconi, decide to live elsewhere in the capital while in power. The building, begun in the 1500s and named after Pope Alexander VII of the Chigi family, is used for the premier's official business.

The Vatican claims that while access to medicine has been a right since 1948, now 62 years ago, it is still not a reality for everyone and to have fair access the dignity of the individual should be taken into account.

Bishop Zygmunt Zimowski
President, Pontifical Council for Health Workers

“In the title of this conference there are two very important words: egalitarian and humane. And it's not just structures, but structures within the human being that must be seen as a subject of healing. However, there are still great inequalities among people.”

P. Maurizio Faggioni
Bioethics Professor, Alfonsiana Academy of Rome

“We want to see justice that is truly human, that respects human values, especially dignity because there is not really progress without deep profound respect for human life.”

The experts will also address the importance of humane treatment toward patients, which is considered the basis of medicine. They will also consider how to prevent the specialization of doctors and the use of technology that turns a patient into an object.

P. Maurizio Faggioni
Bioethics Professor, Alfonsiana Academy of Rome
“Health is the goodness of the person and you can not isolate the physical health from the psychological welfare of the individual. Not all answers can come from technology and medicine. Be aware that it is always human beings with lives, hopes and fears.”

Participants intend to promote a worldwide health service that puts the individual at the center and allows universal access to a doctor.

WWJD? Support Health Care Reform, Apparently

By Colleen Stufflebeem Friday, November 19, 2010
Basically, you’re an atheist if you don’t support universal health care.

Catholics are against gay marriage, abortion, capital punishment and contraceptives, but what they’re not against is universal healthcare. If you’ve ever wondered if Jesus would be a proponent of the health care reform, now you know. Hell yeah he would!

Pope Benedict XVI, along with other Catholic church leaders, said yesterday at the international papal conference on health care at the Vatican that it is the “moral responsibility of nations to guarantee access to health care for all of their citizens, regardless of social and economic status or their ability to pay.”

I think I just heard a Tea Partier throw up on Mitt Romney.

The Pope continued: “Justice in health care should be a priority of governments and international institutions.” He then said that it should be the concern of all Christians to worry about the “care of man,” and “his inalienable rights,” which he considers universal health care to be.

So I find it interesting that Rep. Steve King, in an interview with Glenn Beck, had this to say about Obama’s health care reform: “They intend to vote on the Sabbath, during Lent, to take away the liberty we have right from God. This is an affront to God.”

Sarah Palin also called the health care reform “downright evil.”

Does this mean Tea Partiers, Sarah Palin and Rep. Steve King are calling a papal plea evil? Doesn’t that constitute blasphemy? Sorry Glenn Beck, it doesn’t get anymore progressive than this.

Pope Benedict XVI wants all governments to protect their citizens’ health by “dedicating the equipment, resources and energy so that the greatest number of people can have access.” Spoken like a true egalitarian.

To really drive home the point that it’s un-Christian to be against universal health care, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone had this to say: “The governments of richer nations with good health care available should practice more solidarity with their own disadvantaged citizens.”

Is it just me or do you think that statement was directed at America?

Now that it’s divinely backed, there’s no use in saying universal health care is an abomination of God. Sorry guys, you’re going to have to rely on death panels again.
