Japan tsunami video recovered from dash-cam inside destroyed car
The March 11th tsunami disaster rocked Japan in ways we here in North America have trouble imagining. The death toll was high, the property damage insurmountable and the economic impact on the island nation was experienced worldwide. The effects will be felt for not only decades but possibly hundreds of years considering the radiation effects from the nuclear meltdown of the damaged Fukushima Nuclear Plant.

As the clean-up continues, displaced objects are being found sometimes hundreds of kilometres from where they originated. What we have stumbled on here is a dash-cam video recently recovered from a destroyed car. The driver was trapped in the tsunami tidal rush but survived to tell the story. The events seem to start out simple enough with a flow of ocean water off in the distance but then it creeps up behind the car that has the dash-cam mounted inside. Things get hectic real fast from there on as dozens of cars and trucks are tossed around like toys in raging waters.

Just a reminder that the automotive carnage you see here is only a fraction of the immense devastation that Japan experienced. Check out the video after the jump and think twice about how you can help the ongoing rebuild of Japan.
