News Flash: CA's Prop 8 overturned
I hate to say it, but I’m not surprised...
The courts have ruled against the Family once again.
California’s Proposition 8, the ballot referendum to preserve real marriage as one man and one woman, has been ruled illegal by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
But it’s not over yet my friend.
Allies of the Family are already moving to appeal this decision to a higher court.
Winning this fight is a long process. It has taken a lot of determination and perseverance, and will take even more in the future.
Defenders of real marriage in California started fighting in 2008 when they spoke out with the passage Prop 8 only four months after homosexual “marriage” was legislated into action.
Thankfully, these brave friends are willing to continue this fight for as long as it takes.
I am proud to say that Public Advocate will be standing by to assist them in any way possible in the coming months and years.

Former Monsanto lawyer now FDA Czar leads raids on Amish organic producers
Former Monsanto lawyer now FDA Czar leads raids on Amish organic producers
You don’t need to have a degree in ethics to see the problem here. According a report by Examiner.com, “Monsanto’s Michael Taylor is the second highest-ranking official at the FDA, and as Food Safety Czar is responsible for implementing the day-to-day policies that govern the food safety laws for the U.S.”
Those “day-to-day” implementations seem to be targeted against the very type of people who pose threats to the anti-organic nature of Taylor’s former client. The report continues,
Not surprisingly, the person responsible for prioritizing armed raids on small dairies over holding agribusiness accountable is a former Monsanto attorney and chief super lobbyist. . . .
Taylor has been leading a departmental crusade against small raw milk dairy producers. So far several dairy farmers have been subject to a year-long undercover sting operation from the East Coast to California.
The hypocrisy and double-standard are open for all to see:
Incredibly, Michael Taylor and FDA inspectors have not arrested or fined the Iowa agribusinessman — Jack DeCoster — who was wholly responsible for the more than 500 million eggs that were recalled in 2010 salmonella-tainted egg recall Though this industrial agribusinessman endangered the health of millions. Michael Taylor actions show that he thinks Amish farmers producing fresh milk are more deserving targets. Under his leadership the FDA performs enforcement raids (with guns drawn) on the Amish.
UPDATE:
In a seemingly related story, the FDA has approved a new chemical sweetener produced by Monsanto and has reportedly waved all requirements for product labeling. In other words, this new chemical—which some natural foods advocates say has toxicity properties—can be put in foods you buy, even organics, and the label does not have to inform you of it. One California local activist says,
Aspartame can step aside. There’s a new sweetener in town and it isn’t saddled with the inconvenience of having to be listed on labels, so it can be sneaked into any prepared food, even USDA so-called Organic. So sayeth the FDA. Neotame is a Monsanto-created chemical similar to Aspartame, including its neurotoxic properties. . . .
Neotame is now being marketed as Sweetos for use in cattle feed. Molasses has been utlized to get cows to eat foods made unpalatable by chemical additives. Neotame is both less costly than molasses and subject to fewer regulations. How do you like that? A natural food is more stringently regulated than a known-poisonous chemical that’s put into food.
The reach of Neotame is likely to be extensive. They’re planning to replace other artificial sweeteners with it. A major seller of artificial sweeteners, which goes by the misleading name of Ensigns Health Care Pvt Ltd, intends to use it in place of sucralose.

In February 2010, the office of an abortionist in Pennsylvania named Kermit Gosnell was raided for allegedly providing prescription medication for anyone willing to pay.
However, once the police were inside they discovered a butcher shop.
The room was occupied by drugged women who were bleeding in filthy recliners.
In the basement, they found the remains of 45 aborted babies in jars, bags and other containers.
Leading up to the trial, the extent of Gosnell's wickedness came to light.
Because Gosnell would perform abortions no matter how far along the pregnancy was, many of the babies were delivered alive.
This didn't stop Gosnell from following through with the death sentence.
Gosnell would stab a pair of scissors through the back of the breathing child's neck, severing the spine and killing the baby.
Seven babies were killed in this horrific manner that we know.
Gosnell and nine of his staff have been charged with murder, infanticide and abuse of a corpse.
As sick and disgusting and wrong as this is, what does it say about our society that many believe if these babies were killed weeks earlier, that Gosnell would merely have been performing a so-called "normal medical procedure" for these women?
What does it say when tens of thousands of babies die every week in our country?
When tearing them limb from limb when they are a little smaller isn't a crime?
What really separates Gosnell from a "doctor" who will perform an abortion when a baby is 20 weeks old and not when they are 25 weeks old?
Are they really different?
This isn't about women's "rights."
This is about the over 1.6 million babies destroyed by abortionists every year in our country alone -- babies who were to grow up and have a shot at making a life for themselves.
But they never get that chance.
You and I must work together to end abortion in our country to save the 1.6 million innocent babies being aborted every year.
I know it's a tough fight.
Stories like this crush my heart.
What it also does is strengthen my resolve to fight even harder than before.
It might not happen tomorrow, I believe if you and I and millions more pro-life Americans stand together, we will ultimately put a stop to the massacre that happens every day.

School charges six year old with sexual assault
Sometimes when I hear about the latest travesty visited upon America by the radical Homosexual Lobby, I just stand there in shock and disgust.
You see, Californian school children are reaping the consequences of their state’s over-sexualization of younger schoolrooms.
Even kindergarten.
A six year old boy was charged by his school with "sexually assaulting" another boy -- what actually happened?
A friendly game of tag.
But since the radical homosexuals have convinced the State of California to treat 5 and 6 year olds as if they were sexually active, the innocent boy was treated like a sexual predator.
Like the worst sort of criminal.
He was interrogated for hours -- without his parents -- until he confessed to this “crime.”
Then the school filed sexual battery charges!
My friend, I simply do not have words for the horror I feel at this story...
This is exactly why Public Advocate is fighting tooth and nail to restore America’s classrooms to a state of decency and morality.
As long as they are allowed to pump sexually perverted education into our schools, the school administrators and teachers will continue to treat these young children as if they were sexually active.
I'm afraid this is just the tip of the iceberg for California...
But in my heart I know it is not too late!
There are still millions of pro-Family Americans out there -- others just like you -- who are willing to support Public Advocate in this struggle to defend our children.
