Homosexual Lobby push vicious hate-smear campaign

Public Advocate Banner

Over the past eight months, Public Advocate has endured a vicious attack campaign like never before.

The Homosexual Lobby has taken every chance it could to smear Public Advocate as a “hate group.”

They believe standing for family values and true marriage makes you and me dangerous -- even criminal!

And any one even connected with Public Advocate has been immediately attacked and labeled a “bigot.”

You see, only a few weeks ago, senior Public Advocate volunteer Mark Clayton won the Democratic nomination to run for one of Tennessee’s senate seats.

The Democratic voters supported him overwhelmingly.

But within 24 hours, the party leadership denounced him and called for this legitimate vote to be overturned.

Why?

Because “Mark Clayton is associated with a known hate group [Public Advocate],” released the Tennessee Democratic Party to the press.

But what they really meant was that he has worked in support of family values for years.

He believes marriage has always been -- and should always be -- between one man and one woman.

He does not believe that schools should be turned over to the Homosexual Lobby to be used as indoctrination centers.

And he does not support the creation of a privileged class for radical homosexuals and transsexuals.

In short, he is Pro-Family.  And the Homosexual Lobby cannot tolerate that!

So they are attacking him for his connection to you and me.

As I’m sure you’ve heard, this all started with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

This past March they made the unprecedented decision to “blacklist” the entire pro-Family Movement.

The SPLC labeled every single group and leader “hate mongerers.”

And Public Advocate was at the top of their list.

Among the reasons they cited for this despicable label were decades of work against the Gay Bill of Special Rights, the Homosexual Classrooms Act, and more recently the Offense of Marriage Act.

For years they tried to ignore Public Advocate and pretend that our cause would eventually just “fizzle out” and go away.

But we have been growing by leaps and bounds in recent years, and they couldn’t pretend any longer.

First the Human Rights Campaign, the single biggest group dedicated to the Homosexual Agenda, called for a complete ban from the internet for Public Advocate and our messages.

And then the SPLC went a step further by calling us a “hate group;” lumping you and me in with Neo-Nazis and the KKK!

And the mainstream media is buying into it.

Now they are reporting anyone who disagrees with the Homosexual Agenda to be a “bigot” or a “hate group member.”

Here is just a partial list of the attacks Public Advocate has suffered from the media:

    *   CNN.com: “Public Advocate of the United States is listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an ‘Active Anti-Gay Group.’"
    *   The Daily Kos accused Public Advocate of being an “anti-gay hate group.”
    *   CBSnews.com reported Pubic Advocate as a “known hate group.”
    *   The Examiner wrote that Public Advocate “is labeled as an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.”
    *   ABCnews.com: “The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled [Public Advocate] a hate group for its views on same-sex marriage and gay rights.”
    *   The Huffington Post wrote “The Tennessee Democratic Party disavowed Mark Clayton over his association with a hate group [Public Advocate].”
    *   The Drudge Report posted a link at the top of their page that went directly to an article attacking Public Advocate.
    *   The Times Free Press wrote “The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated Public Advocate of the United States organization as ‘an anti-gay hate group.’”
    *   The Tennessean repeated the accusation of the Tennessee Democratic Party that Public Advocate is a “known hate group.”
    *   The Washington Post wrote, “[Public Advocate has been] added to a list of designated hate groups compiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center.”
My friend, this lie is simply everywhere.

And it kills me that they are using it to attack my long-time friend and colleague Mark Clayton.

But you see, there is no middle ground for them.

There is no tolerance in their quest for their own special brand of “tolerance.”

And I need to warn you, there is a lot more danger to their attack then just harsh words.

The Homosexual Lobby is trying to brand all opposition as “hate speech,” and using the Thought Control Act they could actually take Public Advocate to court over it!

They are truly giving us two options: Silence, or legal destruction.

I have already been threatened by the Southern Poverty Law Center with a law suit for Public Advocate’s pro-Family programs.

These legal attacks are going to come more and more often now, and you and I have to be ready.

Even a single battle in court could cost tens of thousands.

And I’m afraid our finances are already stretched to their limit.

This is such a crucial time in the fight for our nation; I just couldn’t bring myself to hold anything back from the fight.

Can you help me today, by chipping in a generous donation?

Even just $0 or $50 -- Public Advocate needs anything you can spare.

For the Family,

Eugene Delgaudio
President, Public Advocate of the United States

P.S. The Homosexual Lobby has decided to stigmatize anyone who dares speak out against their agenda as a "hate group."

Using the media to spread this smear attack, they are trying to discredit Public Advocate and lay the legal groundwork for future court battles.

I desperately need you to consider giving a generous donation today to help bolster Public Advocate's financial defense.

Can you spare $50, or even $75 or $100 today?
