CSDA Reply to SDA Official Statement

Dear Friends,

 

 

This Sabbath marks the 8th day of Pastor McGill's imprisonment for "the name the Lord has given us." We ask that you continue to lift him up in prayer, and we thank you for your support. The media has been covering the issue very thoroughly, and several of the publications have been indexed at the bottom of our timeline at www.csda-adventistchurch.to/index1.html

 

It has come to our attention, however, that the General Conference's Communcations Dept. has issued an official statement to the media, which they have falsely claimed as an "accurate representation" of the situation. Within the document are repeated false statements, some of them so much so that we only refrain from calling them outright lies in the hopes that its author is somehow only severely misinformed about the facts of the case. In the interest of fairness, we are attaching two documents with this email. One is the General Conference's official statement (creation church 7.17.12.pdf), and the other is our official response to that statement (Official Statement 7.18.12.pdf). We ask that you please circulate this to all interested parties.

 

In other news, the CSDA Church now has a Twitter account (@CSDAChurch) which has been tweeting new media coverage as it is found, as well as updates on the lawsuit. Those interested are encouraged to follow us and share updates with others as possible. Of course, as with any media venture of the Church, there is the possibility that the General Conference will attempt to shut down the account asap.
